For goodness sake, someone give this bloke a bath !!!!!! He looked riffy even before he went into camp!

His little interview to camera made me chuckle, when he said, "I want people to like me, Mums and stuff" (obviously forgetting he dumped his pregnant girlfriend by phone, thereby alienating most mothers across the nation), and "people will see that Im not all hairs and graces" (so not only is he thick and thinks airs is hairs, but he is, ironically, covered in bodily hair).

I know its early days yet, but I hope he is one of the first out.

I didnt realise he was going out with Adele Silver - and if he is, it must be a fledgling relationship as he was going out with someone else only recently. Im suprised she was the one talking about him at the beginning, and not someone who knows him better .... like a member of Blue

I am looking forward to him and Ruck-kay talking about politics, current affairs and socio-educational policy in multi-cultural Britain as they poke the dying embers of the camp fire.

I didn't know he was going out with Adele Silva either, nobody tells me anything these days!

He has had incredibly squashed up face doesn't he, it's like it has been pressed up against the window.

He said something really stupid last night that just proved that he was thick but can't remember what it was. It was when he was in the hut with a couple of others.

Ah well, he needs something to tick him over as I can't see his solo career taking off...................

Well he still looks like someones hit him in the face with one of Vic & Bobs giant frying pans, but yes, I concede, he does look better now he has had a shave. A lot less grubby.

Jimmy Osmond still ran rings around him voice-wise when they had the little singathon though :wink2:

He looks like a bus has parked on his face and stayed there for about a week.
Otherwise, seems like a decent guy.

HE is going out with HER...from emmerdale.
Shur why not, I suppose.
I thought it was so funny last night when he was reluctant to sing, but as soon as the others started, you could'nt shut him up.
They all sang better than I expected.
Even that guy with the funny smile...(owen , or whatever his name is)
I am soooooooooooooo enjoying this show!

I tell you what, Antony Costa makes Jade Goody look like a genius !!! Did you hear his contribution to the conversation tonight? He was talking about a programme he watched where a woman married her cat (something tells me this wasnt on the BBC  ).

Honestly, he is embarrassingly thick. And how on earth did he get a job in a boyband with that face?

well although Jenny is very quiet I actually like her and feel that she is probably a lot more fun in real life.

as for Anthony ... what a complete and utter drip. was he "the shy one" in Blue? or does he shine when he's on stage singing?

this year's lot although likeable are the most boring ever, it really does signal the end for IAC I think. Nothing can compete with the awful people in IAC 1 and I'm afraid deep down that is what we what, conflict, arguing, disintergration!!! I mean we still talk about Darren Day's awfulness don't we!!!

Troube is it's always been the boring peacemaker-ish ones who win, Tony, Joe Pasquale, Phil Tufnell, Kerry Iceland and that's why everyone seems to go out of their way to be boring, reasonable and peacemaker-ish!

BORING!

What was he like doing that bloody Treasure Chest Trial today (and why does he keep calling it a Trest?)......... I realise it was hard work sawing that log, but why the face like a slapped **** while doing it? The petulant sulking and tantrums just made him look worse and worse IMO.

Thatch was trying to be positive and he was acting like a right sulky t**t.

I really really hope he is out first. He is as thick as :pooh:

Wouldnt you think if you were sent to saw a log with a woman.... no matter how hard the damn thing was... you would not lose face in front of a female almost twenty years OLDER than you. My God... Thatch has some balls.... what a woman.... I am admiring her more each day. That dim wit that passes for a celeb singer was like a whinging teenage girl with PMT. And then to add insult to injury.... poor baby fell in the nettles on the way back to camp. If I was Carol I would have picked up that lump of wood attached to the chest and thumped him senseless with it.... on second thoughts maybe someone did that already before he reached the jungle. And.. the icing on the cake when he walked into said jungle diary room... and was about to make some announcment and promptly forgot. I suggest the next Bush Tucker Trial... YOU HAVE TWO MINUTES TO FIND A LUCID BRAIN CELL IN COSTA'S HEAD. What a wally.

Agree with Bob, the trial had great entertainment value. Antony was really getting into the swing of things and I was enjoying the impressions. His back and neck were covered with crawling scuttling creatures - I certainly couldn't have done it, mind you I can't sing even without the added wildlife.

He definitely bailed out too soon. And was then quite pathetic, asking if 5 stars was OK. Uh, no it's not you pratt.

He did give me the biggest laugh so far when he was drunk, though. He was clearly trying to come across as intelligent when he was talking to Carol. Didn't quite pull it off though.

I was gobsmacked that he stayed in ... I suppose Blue fans are voting for him ...cos I'm don't suppose anyone else had ever heard of him before!

Oh god how cringemaking was the bushtucker trial? He really does make Peter Andre look like the brain of britain doesnt he?

He took it sooooooo seriously and then bailed out prematurely !!! And how in the name of god didnt he realise that there was a cockroach in his ear?????

His drunken burblings around the campfire bordered on the embarrassing to totally pantwettingly funny as Antony demonstrated his inability to take his drink (they didnt have THAT much to go round surely, as no one else was drunk), to his totally inept social skills with his constant calling out of CAAAAARRRROLLLLLLL........ and then presuming and actually asking if she cycled from Australia to Vietnam without stopping.

I nearly weed myself when Bobby Ball said with feeling, "WHAT a prat"......

And as Critique says, he really should stop trying too hard, relax, be less aware of the cameras and how he wants to come across and we might just like him a bit more !!!

I thought the BTT that Antony did was the most entertaining so far (I missed the bug eating one that Jilly and Carol did together :( )

I was disappointed he bailled out so early....but while he lasted I thought he did well and I enjoyed watching and listening to him. It made me laugh out loud.....which I've only done twice since the series began (the other time being Sid on the bungie line trying to unlock the box on the chest hunt with Jilly)

I like Antony - he seems very unsure of himself....and has been very quite in the camp, but he seems nice enough to me.

Wasnt he a petulant pratt when he realised that (a) there was a long walk involved and (b) he had to actually work quite hard with the others to get the key?
There was tutting, foot stamping, hat thrown on the floor, flouncing......

And just HOW self conscious is he? He kept going on and on and on and onnnnnn about how he didnt want to strip off because "he didnt like his body" - what a weird thing to say !! Firstly if he hadnt have mentioned his body, nobody would have given it a second look and secondly, how self conscious!
It goes to show that some of the others are concentrating on passing the challenges, forgetting the cameras are on them and mucking in while Antony is constantly fretting about "how he will look"......

How the hell is he still in there?

Apology to Mr. Antony Costa
.....like he'll ever sodding read it....

I made a terrible error in misjudging you. Contrary to my original comments, I am now of the opinion that you do indeed have some charisma, albeit very weak strands of it, though it is evident all the same. Therefore I retract that initial comment and wish to make clear that you have fairly won me over with your singing exploits. Very well done Sir! Was most impressed. In fact I decided to watch Saturday Night Fever in its entirity immediately upon hearing your own rendition of "Staying Alive", You do have charisma. Well done.

As for Anthony del Dulla I think he behaves like a five year old most of the time. This probably explains why he has stampy feet when he has do something he doesn't want to. How bone idle is Antony Costa???? :ranting:

How many times did he try and get out of the trial last night, by saying "I dont fancy doing it..."

If there is anything strenuous involved, he doesnt want to know does he? The lazy, bone idle git.

He might insist at every given opportunity that he is a "nice guy" (and it makes me wonder why he feels the need to KEEP telling everyone that), but he really isnt a team player at all is he? And comes across as a petulant, sulky child pleading with his Mum to be let off PE at school...

How I larfed when they decided to draw straws and it turns out Antony got unlucky and HAD to do the trial after all lol.....

This is why he is annoying me. I mean, the others are all up for getting out of the camp and doing something different. It must be as dull as dishwater to sit around the fire all day with the same bunch of people .... but then Ant is dull as dishwater too so it probably suits him.

Why oh why is this waste of space still there ? His mum must have the number to keep him in on re dial all the time just so she wont have to see his moody face at home.

I dont think he has ever had a moan free day. Please, just remove him from the jungle. Also - when he was laughing with Sid and Bobby yesterday his tongue was massive and made me cringe. It was all flat and jelly fish like. Plus he looks like a gorilla. Sod the small nipples, get rid of the black hair on your back / shoulders and chest mate.

 How in the name of Darren Day has this grotesque muppet of a man stayed in camp so long???? He surely deserved to go before Jenny Frost.

He reminds me of a Peter Andre type character.... he has those "lights on, nobody's home" eyes of someone who is incredibly slow on the uptake.

He is constantly seeking appreciation and reassurance. While cooking last night he did it again and Bobby Ball (rightly) said, "Just cook, stop fishing for compliments for it...."

He is someone, in my opinion, that doesnt have the courage of his own convictions.... ie. last night Sid was ripping the pee out of Bobby unmercifully which Bobby, already a bit arsey cos he didnt want to cook, didnt enjoy.

Antony, at first, was fully with the Jack The Lad Sid... he was laughing (falsely) and egging him on. As SOON as he realised that Bobby Ball was reeeeeeally peed off about it, and that there may be a huge confrontation about to kick off, Antony changed tack immediately and sided with the more aggressive Bobby, even to the point where he repeated Bobby's mantra to Jenny, muttering darkly (and not at all convincingly), "Im gonna blow in a minute" as Sid carried on with the heckling from the sidelines.

Antony really is an utter cockk.

I have to say Pandora - contrary to my previous post in support of Antony....I'm beginning to agree with out about him now.

He seems to be desparate to come across as a 'good bloke' - but it's just not working. Is the wood sawing trial with Carol he came across as a petulant child.
I watched some live coverage I had recorded (how sad am I?) and found that I had all off the footage from when Bobby and Antony were cooking the meal.......the time between Antony laughing along with Sid to telling Sid 'I'm gonna blow' was about 5 minutes!!

He really doesn't seem natural to be and is painfully aware of the cameras....I don't think he's relaxed since he's been in there.....maybe if he stopped trying to make a good impression and just relaxed and got on with it he'd come across better.

I'm glad he's gone, mainly for his sake. I mean how much longer could he have gone on making an utter **** of himself!

I was cringing with most of the guff he came out with ... especially the "Donny Osmond phoned my mum" story!!!

Poor old Jimmy sat down and listened, but even St Jimmy looked like he would have welcomed early death ... of himself or Antony ... but just wanted the anecdote to end!

I wonder what chat shows will be lining up to have him on, he certainly needs to work on his delivery and his ending. Oh I forgot he's a singer so he would do the singing spot .....  .

btw - as a non-Blue fan, who only knows that one of them looks like Jamie Oliver - were they that big? or were they a fly by night organisation. I want a list of hits in the top 10 and how many years they were about. Cos like Anthony said "longevity is what makes you successful" ....

Well we won't be missing his sparkling wit and conversation. He came across as dull, thick and petulant didn't think much of his singing either.

 Hopefully after this he will retire into the Celb underworld and we will never hear of him again - although I bet when he marries that Adele person they will get their OK/Hello deal...................*yawn*

I think he was in as long as he was because Blue have quite a large fan base and a lot of the fans will have been voting for him.

Dol - not sure how long they were together but I saw them in concert twice, so probably about 4 years.

Hits include
Sorry seems to be the hardest word (featuring Elton John)
All Rise
One Love
U make Me Wanna
Guilty

I was cringing with most of the guff he came out with ... especially the "Donny Osmond phoned my mum" story!!! :

As if Donny Osmond would ring him or anyone else at 11:30pm in the evening. Its very late, and surely Donny's agent or manager would do the ringing. He didn't stop for breath when he was interviewed after leaving the camp - he spoke more words in those five minutes with Ant & Dec, than I've heard him say in the whole 13 days he was in the camp.

Having originally slated the Costa bloke, it was teriffic to see him offer his hand to "the-chap-who-holds-the-wine-tray-on-the-corner-of-the-walkway-who-is supposed-to-be-invisible-to-the-eyes-of-D-listers" as he walked off to fall gratefully into the arms of Emmerdale FARM'S Adele Silva. I noticed Jilly Goolden did no such thing. She trudged past him as if he wasn't a living entity. Poor bloke!

But on the evidence of Antony Costa's demeanour during the last couple of weeks it really didn't come as a surprise that we saw him extending a friendly hand to the Get Me Out of Here "Jungle-butler". I kind of expected him to. In spite of Goolden's arrogance, at least she didn't stand directly opposite our hero-servant and spit a gobful of wine back at his tray.

Who is this fella?? - he ought to get more recognition, in light of the dishing out of celebrity to koala bears and baby kangaroos.

Let's hear it for the Jungle-butler......:wine:

........& three cheers for Costa!

Anybody else notice how quickly Adele turned to face the cameras after giving him a very quick hug? I have no idea who these people are other then this show.
Blue never made it in America (thank god- we had enough of middle of the road nauseating pop boy bands in the early 90s of our own- thankfully slowly fading to obsurity) and nobody knows Adele.
She sure as hell made it obvious she was their for her lil photo opportunity- probably cared more about that then seeing Ant.
It was the picture perfect pose which looked like she was practicing hours for in the mirror of her hotel room.

She'll probably be in the jungle next time - she left Emmerdale a few years ago aiming for bigger & better things, she is now back in Emmerdale after getting nowhere!

Errr really sorry to burst your bubble here Woodstock, but Antony actually mistook the Jungle Butler's sweeping hand gesture showing him which way to go out for a hand held out to shake, which he did indeed shake, but by mistake ....

I recorded the show and have just watched it again, and Ant hesitates as he sees the sweeping hand gesture and then grabs it, shakes it, laughs and walks on.

As you say though, very few of them actually say thank you when taking the glass of champers from the tray. The only person that thanked the Jungle Butler was Tommy Cannon.

I stand corrected then  - but at the very least there was some form of interaction between said Butler and Mr Costa. In light of this, I shall remove myself from the congratulatory statement i made previous, thus rendering Bridge's "Hip-Hip Hoorah" invalid......you know you can be such a spoilsport sometimes Braith........:p

I never noticed Cannon's offering. Good on him though!

As for Goolden - what a punk!

Can we have three cheers for the the "JB" instead then??

yes, i now realize my initial request for a "hip hip hoorah" was actually for the Jungle Butler in the first place - and nothing to do with the Costa bloke. So now i stand corrected once more......this time by myself....

...............i'll get me coat.......:bag:

(I still don't know who got eliminated last night - must catch up with events. That's with watching a half hour or so of the live version that followed later on. I mean at this stage it's not exactly difficult to make that assertion is it?? My fears are that "Aussie Osmond" has gone  'cos i only saw Sheree, Thatch, and Sid. This is all rather sad - my final three have crumbled apart....though i did give Carol my vote - before i watched any of the coverage. Guess we'll find out later tonight which former prime minister's daughter is crowned queen-of-the-bush.......):wink2:

OHMIGOD...how comfortable did costa look when he was dressed up in women's clothing.
Like..whatever you are into...and all that. But I did not find watching him a particularly pleasant experience.
He was way too 'practiced' at it...obviously not his first time.
