Just spotted this announcement. Its as it should be, she was too much of a risk to have in camp. A real pity though, her "feisty" personality would have been fun to watch ! And it looks as if there WILL be a replacement.

ITV has decided not to allow Elaine Lordan back into the jungle, it has been confirmed.

The ex-EastEnders star, who was admitted to hospital after collapsing twice on her first day in camp, is thought to be back on the mend but producers have decided not to risk letting her back on the show.

"We have given a great deal of thought and consideration to Elaine's situation and have decided that she won’t be returning to the jungle," said a spokesman.

“The detailed investigations carried out by separate doctors over the last two days have shown her to be in good health. "But ITV has a responsibility to all of the celebrities taking part in the show and given what has happened to Elaine on two separate occasions in as many days, and knowing what challenges lie ahead in the show, ITV has decided to err on the side of caution.

"Elaine has reluctantly agreed to withdraw from I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!”

A replacement is expected to arrive shortly

we didn't have a tv or a phone, we had to send in requests by me dad's carrier pigeons which he kept in the back yard in a palace while the rest of the family lived in squalor! We only knew what was on offer if we went very quiet and listened to the rich family's tv next door through the paper thin walls which were crawling with lice! :ninja:

I thought that Bonnie. Everyone else managed it and hardly anyone is superfit. Its annoying because she has done someone else out of a place on there.

A quite magnificent dramatic performance from the Lordan woman. By far eclipsing any piece of drama she provided in Eastenders (I say provided 'cos I'm not sure whether she's still on the programme - for that matter I'm not even 100% as to whether Eastenders itself is still going. Hope not!)

Nice fainting skills, good rendition of accompanying sound effects, and all round sound performance.

She still gets her picture and her name up in lights every night though doesn't she! i think they should remove it from the title sequence forthwith!
