Looking forward to this although I do feel ever so slightly sick watching it and personally couldn't eat any of those things, I would wimp out at the first sight of them.

I liking Carol more & more, she has no airs and graces whatsoever and is willing to take everything face on............except admitting to peeing in camp but I can let her off on that one!

I would have personally chosen Jenny to do the task, did you see her face when Kimberley came back from the task and announced she only got 4 stars? Ok, she flunked out but I would have liked to have seen how far Jenny would have got with her wonky eye before she started screaming!

Very true. I remember the ultra creepy Uri Gellar being voted in for the bug eating trial, and he is a vegan. However he got about five stars I think ....

According to our evening paper it's a live BBT - on at 8 - then 10 although it won't be the eating one - as that was yesterday if you know what I mean!

WUNDERBAR!!! Both ladies - especially Carol. I didn't realise Jilly was a veggie till read it here, good for her that she didn't bring it up like Uri did, again and again and again.

It was a very funny BT trial, they faced it with humour and guts Mr Cat and I laughed heartily all the way through, best comment of all though was Ants at Carol eating a Kangeroo ball...."She eat it like it was a boiled egg at a picnic"

I think they got eight altogether.

They did brilliantly. Thatch was superb. She was a bit like Jenny Bond last year, who sailed through it.

The only time I retched in sympathy was when she was gagging on that bloody fish eye .... ughhhh.

Jilly was spurred on by Thatch but to my part got the easiest stuff to eat. However she did bloody well. No idea HOW she managed to put that live cockroach in her mouth and chew on it.

Ladies who lunch - my word what a pair - I'd have both round for lunch, dinner, supper - marvellous!!!

They were superb, Carol especially - I was determined to not like Carol [her brand of straight talk without humour tends to rub somewhat] - but her extraordinary demeanour in this task was beyond the call of duty!!

I have to say [as Family Flip discussed] I coudl eat everything put in fornt of them - I was almost jealous of the mealy worms [I honestly want to eat them], I coudl everything there, including the rats tail.

To be honest, I think the producers of the show were probably a bit upset at how they made it look so easy. Let's face it, the "eating disgusting things" part of IAC has always been a high spot for hysteria, gagging, shirt ripping (in the case of Paul Burrell) and general mayhem.

Carole and Jilly took the hysteria (and to my mind a lot of the entertainment value) out of it with their calm attitude. That's not a criticism by the way. It's a kind of "up yours" to those that think up these horrible things :)

Those two did great! The banter between them was hysterical!
The highlight of my evening was jilly and Thatcher eating the kangaroo penis and balls while enjoying my Thanksgiviing dinner :)

Oh man i could'nt stop laughing watching those two do the bug eating trial, it was so funny Carole especially was hilirious, when she ate the fish eye and said it's like eating a contact lens.:laugh: i haven't laughed so much since Burrell.

it was a great trial tho'...and those two were the best people to attempt it.

Totally agree with everyone - even though I don't really like either of them they did superbly. I couldn't have managed half of what they ate!

Hats off to Jilly and Carol, they were remarkable. Neither of them, especially Carol, would be the first person I'd want around on a day to day basis, but in a crisis where calm, rational, logical thinking were required, they'd be hard to beat.

Carol was clearly very close to vomitting several times, but not only did she manage to swallow the vile fare, but she also made a joke of it. I couldn't do that and they both have my respect for the way they handled the challenge.
