View Full Version : They could always.......

For my liking, the camp is just a wee bit cramped. I believe that there would be more backstabbing if the campers were a little more spaced out and afforded that extra room one requires to create an atmosphere of discord and general loathing among the campers. It's all a little too "ohh I don't wish to tread on your toes....." and "ooooh, I just spotted the most delightful looking bird with the most wonderful plumage......" (If they wanted Bill Oddie in there they could have had Bill Oddie in there....he is a D-list isn't he??)

I'm dead set against this canopy comes out when it rains business but what the heck is wrong with the allowance of canvas for the participants? - "nothing", I hear you say. Thank you! Technology stretches far enough today to allow cameras inside tents. Rather canvas than canopy. Good grief! - how many campers take a canopy along with them.....just in case it rains? - zero to none.

So anyway, that's what this little poll is all about. A few ideas that might liven up the show and perhaps provide a catalyst or platform for the drama we as viewers all seem to be yearning for......)'cos when you find yourself reading the text messages during the live editions, something is obviously lacking.....

While on the subject of text messages. Here is one of my own.....

Luvvin da show. Karol iz ace and reely natrel. Jenni iz well fit so get yor kitt off now. Dickinsson to go - hes boring and not very natrel. Hi to Rikki n' Anty Gwen. Luv ya all xxxx Woodstock, South of Glasgow, North of London

learn how to converse with each other, instead of all talking at once.
Drives me menthol..that does.
And stop all those bleedin' hugs when they leave to go do a BTT...
come back from a BTT....
go to the loo....
go to the fire....
and basically just look in each others direction.
TOO MUCH HUGGING..................
it's too nice.
I want brutality!

I think the format should be changed for the next series (if there is one). Its all become a bit safe, samey and predictable and the trials were supposed to be the worst and are not.

I agree the format should be changed if there is to be another series. In the last series introducing the baby emus to the camp was different and it worked well with Joe Pascuale as he was very sweet with them. What is the point of having them again in this series as nobody seems particularly bothered with them. They are only fed and cleaned out daily because its in the rules of the day for the camp leader. There was one day last week that they weren't even let out of their pen for at least two days for any exercise. Its only now that the campers have started to realise that being attentive with them is going to earn them some extra votes now the evictions have begun. I watched live feed for 20 minutes at the weekend with Sid Own running and playing with the emus down at the stream - I must have been mad. What was the point of the jungle jail either. It seems to have been forgotten about since Sheree and Jenny's stay in there and we don't even know if they really did spend the whole night.

.......... not make another series and think of something a bit different. A bit like BB really. One series too far, and all that.

Waits for serious amounts of flack.

.........start them off in the Versace 7* hotel and have viewers vote them into the jungle one by one. Last one left in the hotel is the winner :wink2: :)

Of course, we'd have to know who tipped the most, who ordered what from the menu, who got bladdered, who had the most outrageous hair style in the hair salon :)

How about the old Survivor format ????
The old alliances would be interesting
Would have to think about the voting format though

They just need to have two or three tribes competing against each other for food, that would liven it up.
They could mix the groups during the two weeks to change the dynamics.

Bill Oddie - D List?!?!?!

I don't think so!

as for what can improve it ... I'm with you Patsy - ditch the whole celebrity thing ....

we will wait in the flack shelter together ... although I don't think many will disagree that this is a pretty poor do so far!

I was just saying last night that they really ought to go back to the survivor format with non-celebs but not people who have survival know how, but extreme characters who are likely to clash. I reckon the last lot of BB contestants would've been great telly in the jungle.

Yeah, the baby emus have overstayed their welcome. And they haven't even grown at all in the entire year since the last series!!

What is the point in them anyway?? If we're going to have emu's wandering around the encampment then at least we should have large scary ones that can disembowel at will. Or better still I'm all for the notion of letting the celebs look after a small family of komodo dragons........that's entertainment!!

what an excellent idea!

It would be quite something to watch them wallowing in luxury and going from "true celebrity mode" into "oh-dear-I'm-not-quite-cut-out-for-this-yet-I'll-still-have-to-grit-my-teeth-and-put-on-my-pretend-I'm-just-like-those-people-in-the-public-(you-know,-the-ones-who-surely-can't-be-watching-this-'cos-it-must-make-tedious-viewing)-type-face"

First celeb out of hotel - spends the entire night alone in the jungle with nothing but crickets, bats, vipers, and deadly spiders to keep him company

Joined on the second day by celeb no.2 - if they are of the opposite sex, or even both gay, or perhaps just at the experimental stage, and they have already struck up a rapport with one another at the hotel (ie; they've sha**ed already!), then they have the option to reacquaint themselves in the carnal sense (nobody else around - or so they are led to believe! - they hadn't bargained for Ant & Dec mischievously watching in on them from a Grandsatnd view in the towering treetops above......)

It's a remarkable idea and one which i believe would work.....let's have it ITV!!

Bill Oddie - D List?!?!?!

I don't think so!

I Love Bill Oddie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (quite literally no not really!)

He's my mentor. He's a TV presenter-god!!

He may overuse the following words and phrases:

*verdent
*crapuscular
*be honest...

.......but he's the greatest thing on the box by a country mile.....as the crow flies......

I think it should last a bit longer. 2 weeks or so is not enough .
A lil over 3 weeks would be perfect time for disorientation, conflicts, losing some awareness of cameras , ect.

I think that those voted out should not be allowed leave and go back to a plush hotel but they should just have to stay in the camp., knowing that the prize money will never be theirs.
That would cause ructions....
They would be all icky and sticky (apart from Kim)(and Dec:wub: ) but they would not be able to leave.
oooh i'd say we would see some masks slipping then.
heeheehee

Even better would be to throw them into that jungle jail till the show ends.

Definitely right about that. I'm sure they only entered the jungle 2 nights ago......it's bizarre just how quickly it passes.

How is it they can make X-Factor last for 67 weeks and Big Brother (normal persons) for 108 weeks but we only get 2 measly weeks and a bit of Ant, Dec & Co.?? It's daft. It's just plain daft!

Anyway, for what it's worth (practically nothing) here are the celebs for series 6:

*Gareth Hale (one wit' tash and now failed actor, probably intensely overweight too....no offence to anyone who may be intensely overweight here:unsure: )
*The chap who plays Jack Duckworth (god!, he's probably left the show by now! - all the more reason for giving him something to do in life...) in Coronation St.
*Victor Kiam (luxury item undoubtedly a Remington shaver)
*Jack Osbourne (I reckon he'd be game - providing they dangled the right sized carrot in front of his beady eyes)
*Kelly Osbourne - come on now, you wanted some conflict.....well now you've got it.....
*Richard Clayderman - lol, I have no idea why.....
*Barry Manilow
*Leo Sayer (have you noticed my theme yet??)

and two more females.........

*the girl who played Pandora Braithwaite in the Adrian Mole tv series....and whom nobody knows who the heck she would be nowadays, but I'm sure she would provide conflict fodder for Ms. Osbourne)
*Tara Palmer-Tomkinson - I don't mind having her back in the jungle if you don't. She was as mad as a March hare....if not madder....and it would be a true delight to see her let loose once again.

I think 'non celebs' would be good - but i hope they choose the candidates wisely. The reason why i went off BB a lot was because of the people they chose. They werent 'real' people you could relate too. They were all odd ... to put it bluntly, and i really didnt give a damn about any of them.

It would also be a shame if they concentrated on the youngsters (again like BB seem to do). It should be a diverse group of people, and not have all 18-22 year olds, desperate to shag and take their clothes off with a token old guy. Its good to hear real conversation, not just talk about how p*ssed they can get.
