Does anyone still want a Christmas hat done on their Avatar. I've done some on the Message to ... thread but they've gone back a bit now so don't know if they've been seen (no obligation to use them of course :) ).

I'm not very artistic but can manage a hat of sorts. If your Avatar hasn't got a face on it I can put some holly round it like Mazwad's if you want.

If you want one done just post here.

When it's done just right click on it and save it to your computer then go to your profile and change it on there.

I've had a go at your little chap Maxine. For some reason it wouldn't open in Paintshop's Animation - kept getting an error message so I tracked it down off the internet and saved it from there :angel_not

Hope you like it :)

Sorry Tiggs, it looks like your bobble doesn't show up on this background. If you use the instructions below, though you can upload the one Coastie kindly made for you.

and these are the ones I put on the other thread in case anyone can't find it:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v611/liberated60s/top-dogx.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v611/liberated60s/jakeyx.jpg

Just to be clear - I haven't altered anyone's actual Avatar. I've saved them all as a new pic with an x on the end so they won't accidentally overwrite your previous one.

To change your avatar, right click on the one you want, save as (you can keep the file name or change it at this point) make sure you take note of where it will be saved to on your computer.

Go to your user CP and edit avatar. Scroll down a bit and select "Upload from your computer" and Browse to where you have the new one saved on your computer, double click it and then save the changes. After Christmas you just have to do the same but browse to your normal avatar.

Any problems just let me know and I'll try to help.

Yours was tricky flip cos, as you say, not a lot of room, so I've done you one with just a splatter of snow and one with a veritable snow storm - lol. As you're a sponsor you can upload animated ones so you can choose (or I don't mind if you decline - lol)

Thanks Secrets - I joined an MSN Group that taught Paintshop Pro - it only took me 2 years to learn it and I still don't know all there is to know about it :)

If you're really keen to learn though I'd be glad to help you any time. I was glad to have a Messenger Buddy when I was learning.

Crit- wow! You are one clever girl.
I love what you did to Flips shades.
Before I saw this thread I was trying to do something with mine but as a still image, I trandsfered to paint and tried to draw a hat but I'm rubbish and it was taking too long so I abandoned it.
Please please I would love you to do one for me! :w00t:
Can I have a hat and kick a snowflake about- you see I'm very mobile, I can't keep still.

Lol Bob - now there's a challenge! There must be about 20 odd frames in that graphic of yours. Will see what I can do, but a snowflake wouldn't show up on a white background :) Leave it with me and I'll have a play around with it.

Thanks Bella. There's no mystery about the frames. Here are the boring details if anyone is interested :sleepy:

If you imagine that each of the animated avatars is like a little mini film strip and depending how much action there is depends on how many frames in the film strip. So doing an ordinary static pic you just have to decorate the one pic but on an animated one (like bob's) obviously the head is in a different position each time so you have to put a hat on each frame in the right position for where the head is positioned.

See - easy when you know how :wink2:

PS: Mr. C said I should charge - lol. But I really enjoy the challenge.

Bob, when Christmas is over, I think you should still keep the bauble. Or at least get Crit to turn it into a football. looks great with your wee guy kicking it around.

I still don't know how you did it but I did know it was 14 frames cos when I had my T shirt designed for Dublin the lady in the shop had to separate the frames and she told me there were 14.
How do you separate them?
Anyway I love it!

Hi Taffy - well what it is... if you already had an animation then you can keep it but you can't upload them now unless you are a sponsor. So you can either miss out on the Christmas decs, or have a static one for chrimbo but then you wouldn't be able to have your animated one back after chrimbo or you could become a Sponsor and you can have what you like. :)

Crit that is so clever! could you possibly give my little heart a hat? thank you x

Of course I will Bridge - I'll do it asap. xx

Bridge - see Critique's post to Taffy. If you currently have an animated avatar you're lucky as you got in before the changes took place.

However, now in order to have an animated avatar, or change your existing animated avatar you have to be a Donator or Sponsor.

Well, that explains a lot!! I couldn't figure how some had animated avatars and I couldn't have one. Was getting right hacked off, I was...but now I see! I will have to count my pennies and see if I can get a donator or sponsor title....1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ......hahahahhahahaha:laugh:
