Is it right that these innocent people are being duped and lied to?

I like a wind up too. I think its good that they asked the contestants family and friends first - just incase they couldnt take a joke.

I think the contestants would have done anything to get their face on the telly so lets hope they have sense of humour. I love a wind up too but I think they may end up having to use those standby tapes.

I suppose I'm a bit soft but I sort of half watched the repeat of this prog tonight and I heard one of them say something about his kids will be able to say "my dad was an astronaut" and I thought that was quite sad because, no, they will be saying "my dad was a pillock that got duped".

I know it's just a laugh but I used to get really tense and nervous watching things like Beadle's About because I thought that he pushed people too far and one day one of them would keel over with a heart attack!

They should have turned the tables on him and let the "victim" in on the secret and had them feign a heart attack, with fake Paramedics standing by to pronounce them dead. I would have liked to see Beadle's reaction when the "dead" man walked round the corner and shoved a microphone in his face!!!

I enjoy a good wind up but I don't like it when they go too far because it makes me feel very uncomfortable.

I think I will have to find out how this pans out though.:)
