What do you think of this ??????

All the 'contestants' are all actors, and we, the viewers are being hoaxed.

In the section where the 'contestants' were jumping into the river, non of the 'contestants' actually jumped into the river.
The jumping was done by trained stunt doubles, it was made to look like the 'contestants' by careful editing (close up shots of them on the bridge and coming out of the water, but no close ups of them actually going into the river)

The clues are there for us to spot;
the ejector seat in the office - still had english lettering on it,
the cars with the fake Russian number plates - why didn't they swap the Vauxhall badges for Opel badges (Vauxhall cars are only sold in the UK - rest of Europe they are badged as Opel)

There are probably many more clues planted for us to spot

Are you saying that we are being hoaxed into believing that the space cadets are being hoaxed into believing that they are training to be astronauts???????

That's a hoax too far in my opinion. :wallbash:

But what does it matter to us about the mistakes with the cars? So they made some errors but its the contestants they have to worry about, if they spot the mistakes then.......... :w00t:
And most of the fake Russian gear was bought at market or is fancy dress anyway!

Just watch the interaction between the cadets, does it look real?
The drawing incident last night looked scripted as if it was acted out.
Do the diary clips look genuine?

I think they are all actors and the joke is on us. But just what would the producers gain form duping the public?

I must admit that somethings about this prog just don't seem to jel somehow but I can't put my finger on it. It does all look a bit scripted as you say Taffy and for the amount of trouble and expense they must have gone to in making it, I think it's going to bomb.

I missed the first one or two and have been trying to pick it up - where did they get the "cadets" from? They're such an unlikely bunch - would look more at home on one of those boot camp thingys!

I've been reading about all these conspiracy theories over on DS, and there's a lot of them ranging from the viewing public being duped to the JV being the butt of the joke.

I think it's very easy to be drawn into the idea that the joke is on us because we're in a position of knowledge, or think we are, and actively start to look for the tiniest little loopholes in everything as a means to justify our theories. If you analyse everything, it's possible to find what look like flaws, but whether that's enough to categorically state we're the ones being fooled, I don't know. I'll admit it's a possiblity, but wouldn't the whole show be rather pointless if it turned out that all the 'cadets' were actors? The GBP would be outraged and Endemol wouldn't be able to produce another reality TV program because no one would believe what they were seeing was true. I think it's a risk they wouldn't be prepared to take.

Good point Nox  It would wreck their credibility as you say.

True, I wouldn't trust Endemol again...

I was watching the satelite programme the other night and there was a clip of one of the cadets saying how she thought the whole thing might be a setup......but it looked dubbed, I rewound it and played it again to check and the words we heard definately didn't match the movement of her lips.......it could just have been a timing problem with the broadcast though......

Yeh. I've not been watching this, but flicked it on last night when they were telling the ones left behind what was going on.
They genuinly looked shocked.

I thought the shock looked false, especially as they played back bits where a lot of them had said things like "I bet this is fake" etc. Can't remember all the clips they showed but it seemed funny that there were so many clips of them actually figuring out that it was a hoax and then suddenly they were saying they were totally surprised and had no idea!!!

I haven't seen much of it but I will definitely tune in tonight and see what happens when they tell the so called astronauts that it's a wind up. One of them was saying last night that he could hear voices and a car engine but the actor, Charlie, was trying to convince him that it was just the space craft noises!!!

I suppose the Five thousand pounds will soften the blow (a bit).

According to the Channel 4 Forum they have done the reveal and all the cadets are out. What a swindle, we won't even see the reveal live on tonight's show, but just an edited version :(
