well i had the op yesterday pm, and now feel like i have been whacked in the back with a baseball bat :blink:

i have seen my consultant this am and he has said that there is a chance that i may not regain full use of both legs - BUT hopefully physio will be able to work their magic - the plus side is that i can actually move my left leg, which i havent been able to do for 2 weeks!

Mum is on her way down to stay for the week - cant wait to see her!

may possibly make official complaint to torbay hospital..........as i feel quite strongly that they have neglected me!

I know it's a hassle and probably the last thing you want to be bothered with right now, but if you feel the hospital has neglected then you should complain. We had a similar situation and didn't bother complaining, but now when we think back we really should have done. They won't improve or change their ways if we don't complain.

hi guys greetings from derriford hospital, well, here is the latest news........

saw my consultant today and it may take years before my legs work properly again - IF ever.....and thanks for your advice Haydon - it is something we are looking at! apparently my consultant says that it was the largest and nastiest prolapses he has ever seen, i am so glad i got here sooner rather than later - my next mri date that came through today was the 19th dec, and when you consider i only missed the effing appt on the 7th cos torbay hosp sent the wrong transport for me.........

i have physio tom in gym and may be transferred back to paignton [by my choice & not torbay] tomorrow - dont know how long i will be in there for yet though!

will tell you more as i know!

am LOVING having mum here!

It sounds like you have had a rough time of it Isis.
Hopefully the worst is over now and things can only get better.
Stick with the physio, push it as much as you can.
I thought i would never have the use of my arm after a nasty accident, but the physio did wonders although it was a slow hard slog.
Be positive and forget all this 'i might not use my legs again' stuff - because half the battle is proving everyone wrong.

Oooh H honey, it sounds like you've had it ruff. Still, you are one strong lady and Im sure you will be fighting back and working hard on your physio exercises. They really can work wonders so never give up.

Personally speaking, Im heartbroken that Fraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnkkkkkkkkkkk was only in EE for two days and I had to witness him being unfaithful with Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttt. And how big was that bloody hat he was wearing? The only thing that was stopping it dropping down to his shoulders were his ears!

Ahem, I digress.

Isis, I am wishing you all the best. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I hope that you are able to make 100% recovery, and if not that then the best recovery that you can.

Mr tiggs had something similar to what you had Isis. He was in a lot of pain and had to have an operation.

1st of all thanks for all the pm's, i cant reply individually else i would be here too long, so sorry bout that!

physio and consult well pleased with my progress - must have xray vision cos i cant see some of what they are on about :wacko:

mr i is just happy he has got his 'H' babes back - big gobs++te that i am, i have been in so much pain and so effed off that nothing was being done i think i must have been a grumpy miserable old hag to live with :shocking:

he wants me to give up work - mind you there may be no other option for a wee while!

looks like im in hosp here in dabs fair city till a bed is avail in torquay - paignton not an option as i need intense rehab and they dont have the kit! mum is here till sunday......as soon as i can stand and walk with my crutches i will go home, may be nxt week, may be nxt year:shocking: but as you all know sooooooo well, im a bluddy minded old witch who likes a challenge :lol: just hoping that if worst comes to worst i can at least spend xmas weekend at home, so get those fingers crossed
