View Full Version : my Christmas Parade Float pic...
msgirl 11-12-2005, 08:09 PM Well, I'm struggling to photobucket on my own since Jimmy Neutron (msboy#1) has no time for his mommy. Here's (fingers crossed...toes too) my group and our float in our local paper.

msgirl 11-12-2005, 09:37 PM I'm sitting directly above 'Tattle Tales', me and my big bummed self!:w00t:
mazwad 11-12-2005, 09:48 PM Looks great MS girl that was after I realised I could make it bigger by clicking on it.
Andrea 11-12-2005, 09:56 PM Ooh well done Maz, I didn't realise you could make it bigger as well.
Excellent Msg, very professional. Alot better than the one my kids went on at the weekend at our local towns lights up. It was made by my neighbour and actually it was very good. A santa train with absolutely loads of lights on. He does like his lights my dearest neighbour.
Andrea 11-12-2005, 10:01 PM Actually, here you go. A piccy of my two poking their heads out of one of the windows.
Notice in the background my neighbour has provided sustenance for the adults.:w00t:

msgirl 11-12-2005, 10:14 PM I hate it didn't come out in color but I'm just proud I did it by myself and didn't have to BEG anyone to help. It was all white, and adrift with 'snow'. The trees had different colored gumdrops in them (what we didn't eat sticking them on:w00t: ) and the names of the daycares are in gold, Merry Christmas in red. On the back our Association was in green. We all had on jeans and a red top with a red and white hat. The opposite side matches the side showing. We worked like dogs on this thing!!! Some of us working from 6:00am till 6:00pm with the regular job and then working on this till 10:00-11:00pm after that....whew! We were happy it's over. They are now talking about running it in another smaller parade a week from today. Lawd hep me!!!!
Fantastic Float Msgirl  Thanks for sharing with us :D
Your boys are just adorable
They look like they are very mischeivious (just like boys should be), are they?

Bella 13-12-2005, 07:16 PM Oooh, it would be great to have a Christmas Parade even though it would be freezing! We have parades in the summer. I bet it was all worth the effort though MSgirl!
And Andrea, your boys aren't they a bit young to be taking after their mothere in the boozy stakes!? They do look cheeky but lovable rogues! Bless.

This is really weird - I quoted your post to tell you that I know it is post number three but I couldn't see anything - and that I couldn't see anything in your post either - and the picture appears in the quote - strange!!
Edited to say - that now it's vanished again - although the address is in the edit box

Yes, it moved!! We had an old timey Red w/ White trim Chevrolet pickup truck pulling us and got tons of compliments with the float nearly all white and the truck Red and White!! Everyone is in a flurry trying to get the pics developed and I can get those on as soon as I can, as they are better in detail. We paraded along about 40 blocks in a U formation and threw out candy and waved like royalty and had a ball!! It wasn't really that cold, we've had colder parades!! But we still had to have something warm on. We are going to give it another go in a smaller parade out in the country this Sunday. We hated to tear it down and not be in at least one more parade!! This is my second time in about 10 years to do a Christmas Parade. I say I'll not do another one, but my boys are 10 years apart, so I get suckered into SOMETHING every 10 years!!!!
