The good news is ....I've now bought and wrapped 99% of my Christmas pressies :)

The bad news is .... my back feels like it's broken from all that bending over the table, wrapping, sticking and labelling :(

Funny you say that, since before Thanksgiving there's been an advert on the radio for this local lady that cooks entire meals for Thanksgiving or Christmas or Easter whatever and you order and she delivers it. I think you pick certain pies and etc., but she does a ham AND turkey and the works. Don't know how much it cost but sounds like something I may investigate for the future!!!

Best of luck Isis

The good news is that all my pressies are bought, wrapped and have labels on them. I have also bought 85% of the my food for the holiday season.

The bad news is that im amazingly skint, and i still have stuff to buy. There is a small part of me that cant wait until Jan to get back to normal financially !!!

I am going to swap this around as it is a bit more appropriate -

The Bad News.......your husband finishes his employment on 23rd December

The Good News......He has been offered a job and he just went for the interview on Friday! And even better it is in Edinburgh - wayhey, which means I can meet occassionally for lunch! :w00t:

This is just the best Christmas present we could have hope for - so Mr B will get his redundancy, then start his new job! :xmastree: :snowman:

The Bad News .............I just wish he was here so we could celebrate together! :(

Hello Isis,

You really have put everything into perspective. Stay positive, enjoy whatever the festive season brings and with a bit more luck maybe the new year will see a very different Isis.

Thanks all, and yes it is a big relief! It is not the job that Mr B would have normally gone for but it's better than Jobseeker's Allowance! Plus it is with another financial office and with him doing his financial exams, the prospects of promotion are so much better in this job! The thing is when he came on Friday, he didn't think he had done all that well at the interview but when the girl phoned last night, she said they had pretty much decided on him after then interview!

So - Good News - He has the job and can start as soon as....

The Bad News - who is going to put down the wooden flooring, decorate the living room and the girl's bedroom that he promised to do in January when he thought he wouldn't be working!? ;)

the bad news......i have a sinus/ear infection, had to get a painful sinus cocktail shot with decradon, and tons of medicine.

the good news...I'll be so wired up on the decradon later that I'll be cleaning, dusting, re-arranging all sorts of stuff!!!!

p.s. Coastie, what is that thing you left at your brothers??? digeredo??? it's a colonial question, it has to be answered or I'll go mad!!:wallbash:

MissG...A digeredo is an aborigonal (native Australian)musical instrument. It's a long hollowed out bamboo tube which you moan into and it makes woooo mmmooooo sorts of noises...I've always wanted one and then I went and forgot it!

Good news...My tummy bug has gone...

Bad news...I'm at work when I'd rather be playing!

The good news is My grandaughter who I haven't seen over Christmas is coming for New Year.

Bad news is her dads car won't start and now it looks like they won't be here until tomorrow. I don't see her often and was looking forward to a few days with her.

I only have good news:smartie: which is......I have had a fab christmas at home being waited on hand and foot, being pushed along the prom in my wheelchair when its nice and being tucked up in the warm when its been cold!!!!

I am now hobbling about on crutches too, with a bit of help from a rather gorgeous ankle and foot brace that goes in my trainers!!!

In the new year I will be going for neurological physio to try and repair the damage done to my legs and left foot - which are still numb with pins and needles in my left foot......less of the left foot jokes please :w00t:
