Hello survivors,
I didn't want to put this in TV, but there is something incredibly appealing about Bob Geldof.
Not only is he a man with a great heart and understanding of poverty, poverty on a scale that we in Britain have not experienced for a good 6 or 7 decades. But it manifests itself in a desire to do great deeds.
This man I feel is a modern day saint, not to far removed from Mother Teressa.
Whether you like his music or not, I reckon he is the most likeable of all pop personalities for his efforts to assist ending poverty, trying to make poverty history and creating awareness at the highest level of political activity.
Tonight, I have just watched a double bill, titled Geldof in Africa on BBC1 and theres another double bill tomorrow night, starting at 11.35pm. I think if you are up late I reccommend you watch it.
The scenery is breath taking, the programme content is educational and Bob Geldof is at his best. Laid back telling you what he feels. There is also a book and I'm going to get it.
