You didn't miss much Dol. If you'd seen the advertisements (and how could to miss them) then you'd seen it all really. It's annoying when they actually show the "punch line". :(

I missed most of the episode due to a family 'discussion'. Just caught the end. But I have to say, although most people have been saying how good Johnny Briggs' portrayal has been, I thought his acting was, on the whole, quite wooden. Maybe I'm hard but he really didn't evoke much sympathy from me. I think, probably, he's not really an 'actor' at all having played the same character for the last 30 years and this storyline just highlighted that.

Also, you think they'd have given him an hour not just the normal half hour slot.

Oooh Whoopee Max. I've been thinking just that - that he's no great shakes as an actor and hasn't impressed me particularly with his farewell performances (but I was too much of a coward to go against everyone else - I thought it must be only me).

I'm glad they've highlighted the problems associated with Altzheimers though because it seems to have heightened people's awareness of what a devastating illness this is. No doubt once memories of Corrie and Mike Baldwin fade, so will the the interest in it. I hope some good has come of it meanwhile though.

I'm not being a sad git lookig at everything in tiny detail it's just that I'm usually out on a Monday night and record Corrie, EE, Corrie and use pdc and it messes everything up becasue Corrie doesn't finish till after 8 which means that EE doesn't get recorded on time :ranting:
Anyway after this happened too many weeks I scrapped the pdc as it usually didn't start recording EE till well into it and just went for manual timer but put corrie to finish at 8.01 as usually don't miss that much on EE probbaly the postie or someone looking out of the Vic.
However. Last night I stayed in and watched all three but fell asleep half way through corrie 2 so don't know what happened with Norris and Rita.
Is it worth a mention? i saw up to Lee-ann finding Mike's will.

Have to agree about Jamie being suddenly the world's most devoted Grandson.
i wonder if it was more to do with getting one back at Dannie.

Emmerdale and Corry are always late of a Monday. When we are recording it we usually tape Tonight with Trevor McDonald as well so to make sure we get the last of one street and the beginning of the other. Sky + is supposed to sort all this for us but never does :ranting:

If I am right, why doesnt someone ask the solicitor for the date that the will was drawn up. Then they will see that Mike made it when he was still in sound mind.

Where were all Mike's friends and business associates, of which they must have been many over the years at the funeral? What on earth were Blanche and Norris doing there? Where was Patricia Brake who was Danny's mother and who dropped the bombshell that Danny was really Mike's son when Danny was about 45 years old? Why dont they get a DNA test instead of taking the word of an auld slapper? Why on earth dont Corrie folk just go and get legal advice instead of ending up in ridiculous punch ups? Mike was married to Adam's mother so that must count for something. Also they could easily prove that Mike was on his way to being doo-lally when Danny and Leanne took him to revise the will and make him power of attourney. So many questions. .................................

The trouble is - im starting to feel sorry for Danny. He might be the villian in all this, but he really is the best man to run the factory. I cant see Adam - who is just out of short trousers managing it.

I agree, I think Audreh looks and acts younger than Gail her daughter sometimes. I could never understand how the scriptwriters made Audrey and Keith an item, he looks like he could do with a good bath and is an old skinflint to boot.

I am SO sorry fellow SO members that I have given you wrong info on two occasions but I got these from Corrie web boards.

I thought it was a TOTAL let down and anti climax that Dozy David was the perpetrator, they could have really built up the suspense on this one and had a real who-dunnit - a pretty poor cop out if you ask me. David, who used to be such a cute kid with his Barney rabbit has turned into yet another of the Street's wierdos.

Latest rumour is that David is covering for someone else !! If he did it himself surely they would be able to tell from at least some of the hand writing that it was him.

i thought the writers and the actors handled it very well actually! it was very realistic, you wouldn't go ballistic after finding out something like that. it was all going so well until Audrey came in like a looney hitting David ... Gail should have hit her!

Any fellow Corrie watchers out there? What's all this to-do with Keith and the roof? If he is a tenant it would be the landlord's responsibility to get it repaired and pay for it surely?

I think it`s leading up to the fact that Charlie asked for the landlords number so I imagine that he will attempt to buy the house and throw Keith out.

Keith should have just got in touch with the landlord and he should then have arranged to get it fixed but with Corry writers wanting a story line they have done it this way instead.

Surely the house would have been bought.....that's what normally happens in these situations. If I were on a WPProgramme i would insist on going to a bought house.I would want to cover all eventualities....hassle from landlords..being asked to move suddenly coz the house is for sale..etc etc.
