View Full Version : It's Christmas!!
Fee For All 25-12-2005, 12:08 AM We'll, it's now officially Christmas :w00t:
I'm downing several large cups of tea and will now get everything ready for tomorrow - friends are arriving at 2pm so plenty of time for a lie-in!
I'm going to marinade a leg of lamb and stuff a chicken, Put various veggies in steamers and finish of the sherry (trifle). But for now, I'm going to finish watching The Long Kiss Goodbye and pretend I'm Geena Davis.
Merry Crimbo everybody!
Critique 25-12-2005, 12:37 AM Merry Christmas Day everyone.
Sounds like you got your second wind then Fee :) Make sure that sherry goes in the trifle ;)
I feel physically tired but not yet ready for bed. This is a lovely time. Quiet and peaceful.
The scene in the Crit household at half past midnight :)

Scooby 26-12-2005, 11:36 AM MEZZA CRIMBO!
Well, it's Boxing Day now, but you know. We had a long formal lunch with my entire extended family, including my younger cousins who insisted on stabbing me with with a faux knife and calling me old for the entire meal (bear in mind I'm 19). I then got quite drunk on Moet. We then went home, opened the rest of our presents, and I got a DIGITAL CAMERA! Hoorah!
I also got a whiteboard for some reason. How rubbish.
cheerio!
Merry (belated) Christmas everyone!
Hope you all had a great time. I, myself had a very good day indeed and ate way more Christmas dinner than I should have, prompting me to go for a lie down for an hour...
But what a great day it was!

Hello Pj,
Just received two hand delivered christmas cards today. Its only the second day of christmas so your partridge and two turtle doves should be settling in now.
Hope you are having a good time. I came home this afternoon for a spell of quiet, but it will be getting noisy again by thursday. Two days of peace now for me.
I have been typing in silly poems again and a silly song for the 12 days of christmas. So here's hoping you and yours are healthy, full of delicious food, and drink - and that the new year soon to be upon us is a prosperous one.

Andrea 26-12-2005, 09:51 PM Merry Christmas to one and all.
I had a fabby time. Got a bit drunk on Christmas eve, an unexpected visit to the pub, with my hubby (we very rarely go out together, and the kids were fast asleep at mum's, so we couldn't miss the chance)
So got up to the alarm at 6.30 to put the oven on for the turkey, in a slightly sozzled way, me not the turkey.
But went back to bed and the kids didn't wake until just before 8am:shocking:
But had a great day with all the family and have basically repeated it all again today with other members of the family.
So I am suitably stuffed.
Hope everybody else has had a great time.
Bonsai 27-12-2005, 10:32 AM I know im really late, but Merry Xmas everyone.
I had an exhausting time, but it was nice. Xmas Eve we went to see all Mr.B's family. We dashed from house to house, and by the evening i was thoroughly knackered. We stayed at my mum and dads over night, and the dog had to sleep in our bedroom as he started howling when shut in the kitchen.
But the little B*stard wouldnt settle, and we got about 2hrs sleep. So Xmas day went in a blur of tiredness. We got home at 10pm that night.
Then yesterday we had lunch and drinks with friends near home which was wonderful. We got a lift there and back so we could both drink.
I hope you all had a wonderful time.
