Is her particular brand of synthetic glee well past its best date for the discerning viewer, does she rate 11 on the vomit dial, or do you simply lurve her.

And while I'm going on about it - is Big Brother exciting entertainment - or simply an opiate for the masses to keep us tranquillized during the grim winter months?

Compare to what's in the house, I find her quite natural and likeable.

I like Davina..there's a lot worse out there and her enthusiasm for the show is equivical to Terry Wogans Eurovision Song Contest..I do believe I quote him when I say "making a purse out of a sows ear". They both do this well.

I love Davina...love the way she genuinely acts excited about actually hosting...as opposed to Julie Chen who talks like a robot as the host of the US BB.

For what it's worth I find her mildly irritating but I think she does a good job on the whole. She's definitely one of those people that is OK with a script but not very articulate when being herself. I'm not keen on her interviewing skills either.

As for the Big Brother show - I think it's just a measure of the alternative cack that's on TV that we find it so interesting to watch. Although, having said that, I don't want to sound like I'm defending myself for watching it. I'm not ashamed to admit that I can get completely hooked on it when it warms up a bit and it wouldn't matter what was on - I would still watch it.

I get annoyed with people that try to make you feel intellectually inferior if you happen to admit to liking it.

As a person she seems extremely pleasant, natural and likeable.

As an interviewer she is absolutely bloody dire.

Incidentally, anyone else notice now that Claudia Winkleman has based her entire career mimicking Davina's style, voice and mannerisms? :glare:

In fact, I'm commencing with the "REMOVE DAVINA FROM OUR SCREENS NOW" campaign, before things really get out of hand.......:unsure:

Obviously the powers-that-be at Big Brother did not take heed of my advice, so you can thank them that we haven't yet seen the rebirth of Hale & Pace. They would suit this show hand-in-glove, and i have to state that i am extremely perplexed and moreso disappointed with the continuation of the McCall lady as host of CBB - she can do Normal Big Brother, as i couldn't give a monkeys about that. I don't watch it. But please place the Celeb version in the hands of a worthy presenter or presenters, 'cos for me Davina just doesn't cut the mustard.
