Bella 09-01-2006, 06:44 PM Not watching this - I don't think darts is a sport and I find it really boring to watch - sorry!
I agree Rob, Darts is not a sport, I find it quite pathetic really that a bunch of overweight drunk men can make a living out of this!
Woodstock 10-01-2006, 08:04 AM Darts is crap. Full Stop.

Bonsai 10-01-2006, 09:02 AM My husband has got into darts (he plays down the pub every week), and i find it quite mesmerising (sp).
The other week i woke up around 9am on a Saturday and went downstairs to find Mr.B watching darts. He told me i could turn it off if i wanted to - but i said it was fine, i didnt mind.
So there i sat. I started enjoying it ..... and then realised it was midday and i was still sat there in my PJ's watching a blummin darts match :shocking:
bridge 10-01-2006, 10:48 AM I like watching but could'nt play to save my life. I find it really entertaining and i love the whole atmosphe (spelt wrong) it draws you in, i also love seeing all the mad people dressed up in funny costumes.
(it's ok call me odd Darlings):p
maxine 10-01-2006, 11:22 AM Bridge, I have been known to watch it sometimes. I find it quite fascinating! And I always think it looks like such a laugh going to those darts tournaments.
I don't mind watching a little bit of darts, now and then, it can be quite exciting. But I don't think it should be classed as a sport. I know you need to have good hand/eye co-ordination to be any good at it but you hardly need to be fit.
Bridge - you're odd :ninja:  only j/k :wink2:
JakeyBoy 10-01-2006, 01:15 PM Wonder what rigorous those men have to put up with and what strict diet they're on
and what strict diet they're on
I'm guessing fish suppers and lots of Guinness!
I quite like watching darts although I have to agree with Rob - it just doesn't seem like a proper sport somehow.
bridge 11-01-2006, 05:03 PM Remember way back when they used to let the players drink pints of beer whilst playing?, Jocky Wilson would be quite pis-sed as a fa-rt, it was so funny to watch , well that was until he won the Embassy and decided to take out his false teeth and wave them at the audience !!!!
Coastie 15-01-2006, 07:14 PM Had to leave the final with Barney and Kesmal (the young lad) battling it out...
I have always enjoyed watching darts.....
Please can you tell me who won...anybody!
:bag: I'll tell you who won as long as you don't tell anyone I was watching darts.
It was the young Dutch bloke, who was unable to smile...Klasson or sommat....
Remember - you didn't hear it from me right!
Coastie 15-01-2006, 09:27 PM Cheers Buzz....and I wont tell anyone...your secret is safe....however I am glad the wee unsmiling whipper snapper won it cos he throws his darts the same way I do only with a lot more accuracy! :bored:
bridge 16-01-2006, 04:13 PM it was a great final the 21 year old was as cool as a cucumber, did you hear the dorky presenter ask him after he had won, " what time does the plane leave for Holland tomorrow?
Kallsman replied " i dunno i won't be on it" CLASSIC he was catching the ferry back home.
