View Full Version : 9-1-06 - Toe curlingly awful tv
Dolores 10-01-2006, 07:27 AM i watched last night's show from 9.30 in absolute muted horror. Who are these ghastly people and why am I watching them in all their awful ghastliness, I ask myself!
Jodie Marsh talking about orgies and sprawling all over the worktop with a totally unimpressed Dennis and then later jumping on the bed with him ... him still totally unimpressed ... i'm warming to Dennis he seems to have a modicum of intelligence about him.
Then we have chantelle, Preston Northend and Jodie in the diary room all talking with that awful awful awful accent and all being completely and utterly shallow. With Preston getting all sanctimonious when Jodie starting criticising Georgie Boy. btw - poor dear sweet Jodie was outraged when George put himself 4th or 5th in the line up of celebritydom ... how empty and unread is that girl?
I even thought that Rula and George in the sauna room talking in reasonable voices and being "slightly" above it all was toe curling. yes, Rula love we don't know why you're there either ... err maybe cos you volunteered and you thought it was an instant way of getting your name in the papers after all these years in obscurity media-wise.
And then dear old George thinking that people were going to ask him questions!!!! it defies belief ... didn't he realise that he was in a house obsessed with their own celebrity and not one bit interested in anyone else unless it impacts on their own narrow vision of life .... oh yes he did cos he was doing just that!
Even Chantelle seemed to be thoroughly convinced that she is some popstar. I noticed at 12.20am she was asking Rula if she'd cottoned on to the fact that she wasn't a celebrity. twenty past bleeding twelve!!!! I ask you that was a good three hours are the revelation! is that all Chantelle is going to say from now on!
I was almost tempted to turn it off! ... almost not quite!

Yer jokin' about Dennis aren't ya?......you are....oh you are.....
I still don't even know what the heck the Lenska woman did or what she appeared in anyway. Was it Crossroads or something similar?
Chantelle IS a popstar you silly sausage!.....she's in that girl band Kandy-Floss......flippin' 'eck!
Yes, last nights show was putrid - and then some. For me it was just the moment when the "Fire Alram" finally sounded off. There she was just sat there as quiet as usual.......and then........"I urinated in someone's cup of tea once.............................................. .........................................
.................................................. .................................................
.................................................. .................................................
.................................................. .................................................
.................................................. .................................................
.................................................. ................................................."
OH........MY.......GOD! (you see, that's why they should have Hale & Pace hosting this show - perfect for those "ohmygod-type moments", such as last night's)
I can bet you four teabags that at that very moment, every single lover she ever had suddenly sat bolt upright - sprung to the ceiling even, and froze with astonishment and instant revulsion!
she's going to rely heavily on that cleavage of hers (or at the very least some more Indian-speaking impersonations) to keep her in the show now........
survivorfan 10-01-2006, 08:11 AM So far I have only fleetingly tuned in to the programme, even so I have to have the volume off because I can't bring myself to listen to them.
To tell you the truth I'm not sure that sites like ours are doing the right thing by daily discussing and analysing these people - it suggests they are important enough to be interesting which gives out totally the wrong message!

I thought, among other issues, that this site was geared towards discussion concerning these shows - however crap they may be.
survivorfan 10-01-2006, 11:40 AM It is although nobody's forcing you to do it.

I thought exactly the same. Every time Chantelle opened her mouth she kept banging on about it. I know she was elated but it became very tedious, yawn yawn. She has absolutely no other conversation though. I really liked Chantelle but Ive started to see a change in her since she was allowed to stay. It doesnt help by teaming up with Jodie and I think Chantelle is starting to show off a bit when they are together.

Jodie is a really bad influence on Chantelle and she is in grave danger of being dragged into the mire with her. If Chantelle doesnt disassociate herself from Jodie PDQ I think she will be voted off very very soon.

It's car crash television at it's best/worst - we watch because we know that we are going to squirm with embarassment while we are watching:D
Also it gives us the chance find out that we are far more moral/intellegent/nice/human than so called celebrities!
Northern angel 10-01-2006, 04:35 PM Hello survivors,
I confess that I have not watched a great deal of Big brother. But I have to say it, "I thought something Toe curlingly awful. Would be trying to have sex with your tights still on". Or is it a bad case of arthritus?
Sorry just thought it was time for something rather silly.:naughty: :wink_kiss :wine: :bangin: :goof:

If it's anything to do with sex Jodie will have tried it!!

no I'm not actually!
he's ok in my book, not bothering me at all and also he's picking people up when they constantly contradict themselves.
Good for you Denis, I say!
