Did anyone else find George and Rula's animal impersonations yesterday quite disturbing and uncomfortable viewing, especially George as the cat lapping up the milk - Shudder!!

I did too, MR. They seemed to be getting a little carried away and took it all extremely seriously without any apparent embarrassment at all. I can understand that Rula is an actress and therefore used to doing strange things, but I was surprised how uninhibited George seemed to be. Did anyone also think that they were just a bit too touchy feely?

I thought MB made a funny comment in the kitchen, when they were all observing them through the glass, saying how they were all acting as though it was an every day occurrence.

It was ghastly! I was watching through my fingers like :shocking: , and Cockney had to leave the room it was just so cringeingly embarassing. We just had the impression that it'd all happen again at a later stage behind closed doors...if you know what I mean :naughty: .

I was absolutely mortified and didnt know where to look :shocking:

And i agree, it looked like they both had done that type of thing before!!

I dont speak to my cat like that either, come to mummy so she can wipe that cream of your little whiskers. Bloomin hell!! :shocking:

Oh I saw this and was blushing for them. It was cringemaking in the extreme.

I recorded the show last night and watched it when i got home from the pub - and the animal impressions were so cringe worthy that i had to fast forward the whole thing.

I get the impression that George liked it a little TOO much. He is probably one of these politicians you hear about, that like being dominated and dress up as babies.

lol! my mate at work said that too ... she thought that was the sort of show that Cynthia Payne would have put on for her "houseguests"!! perhaps Rula and George will get some work out of this after all!

Isn't it funny how many of us said exactly the same thing because I said exactly that to Mr C - we can't all be wrong :naughty:

There's taking part and there's going over the top - this was just far too much.

Apparently he's been in all the papers today because of it.

I couldn't watch it at all. I retreated behind the sofa and assumed the foetal position... and then stuck my fingers in my ears when my husband tried to give me a running commentary of the action.

Oh lord. Call me hypersensitive, but it was just... horrendous.

It was the most embarrassing thing I've seen on TV for a long time. If they ever make another one of those "TV's Most Embarrassing Moments" programs (which I'm sure Ch 5 will at some point) then this should definately be no 1.

Oooh no - I don't ever want to see it again :shocking: I would even prefer to see Richard Madeley's Ali G impression or his wife's bra on show yet again :)
