Agreed, Faria has a huuuuuuuuge chip on her shoulder, but the only bit of racism I've seen so far was Rula's "lying arab" comment, but primarily it came from George, saying that they'd made allowance for Dennis' character flaws because he was black ("we wouldn't have tolerated that from a white man").

Totally offensive inverted racism, IMO.

Discuss.

ooh oooh ooh! yes i spotted that!

that kind of "positive" discrimination is the work of a true racist/homophone/mysognist .... I was surprised no one picked the arrogant little prick up on it. Actually NOT surprised, they seem to be treated George like some kind of f**king messiah in there!

fancy "making allowances" for him cos he's black! I hope Denis rams his nipple piercings down George's throat!

I don't think Dennis was there to hear that, as I'm sure he would have stopped him in his tracks for saying that.

He's one of those people who say things like - he's black but he's actually quite nice. :glare:

The racism argument raises it's head every programme doesn't it?
It's getting a tad overworn and boring now.
WE THE DISCERNING VIEWER WILL DECIDE IF THERE IS RACISM - and punish those who are guilty.
You STUPID idiot, so called celebrities who choose, for what ever reason, to raise the race issue because you have the platform to do so, and the audience to hear you, are guilty of fanning the fires that have raged for years and would go out for ever - BUT FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!
Well done.

He's just described asituation where he 'intervened' in an exchange between Traci and Dennis to defuse the situation. 'I mean, you have a inarticulate Black-American from the projects....'

I think it's this attitude that underpins all his Iraq/Palestine/Muslim stance. He proclaims himself a 'champion', not a 'representative'. I'm sure he feels he is superior to the poor infidel in the worst sort of white-man-come-from-sky-in-big-silver-bird sort of way.

I know what you are saying Fee. I knew a rather ...ok VERY ... pompous man who lived in Norfolk cos he said "it's easier to be the cleverest person in the room" ... I had to add "and the biggest tosser too" ... which he thought was rude, ha!

No offence meant towards great Norfokians of our time ... namely Mr Andrea!

philosophy of the Baywatch babe....

when all else fails you, play the "race card".

There's a massive difference between an issue of racism suddenly igniting from the tiniest of sparks and an issue of racism being designed with cunning purpose. Traci's exploiting of the latter was shameful and if i could be assed with the voting then she'd most certainly be my choice.

........but the problem i would face is that she is "brown-skinned" and if i voted for her, might that be then translated as racism......?

which bright spark gave her the call to come on this show??

Totally agree that Ms Alam has a massive chip on her shoulder. If all else fails, well just blame it in being Asian/black. This country is one of the most racially tolerant in the world, if she doesnt like it here please let her feel free to move somewhere else. I would like to remind her that last year's non celeb BB was won by a Portugease trans sexual. Faria is a very mixed up woman and has now made herself even more disliked by the public. I hope she will now fade into the obscurity she deserves, better sign up with a few typing agencies love.

History repeating itself - when all else failed at the FA, she played the Sex Discrimination card (and lost her case).

George and Dennis aside, I didn't mind up until this point. When she said there was no f***ing way an asian or black person would win any BB type competition just because of their colour, it really wound me up. Perhaps if there were a black/asian person who just got on with it instead of using their colour as an excuse so that we could get to know/like the person, they might have more of a chance.

Anyone who makes such a statement in the way she made it is not only in danger of alienating non-asians/blacks, but probably also some asians/blacks themselves.

I would like to remind her that last year's non celeb BB was won by a Portugease trans sexual.

And she won it because of herself, not because or despite of her being a transsexual.

Agree with your first post Floopy. What a ridiculous thing for the supposedly intelligent George to say about making allowances for Dennis. Why would you accept a black man talking about the size of his c0ck when you wouldn't take it from white man? I just don't get that. If something offends you then it shouldn't matter the colour of the skin of the person doing the offending.

As for Faria, she certainly played down what she had said and the way she said it.. She was really quite forthright when she first made her comments and toned it down quite a bit when relating it for the other housemates - oh and a few tears thrown in too.

Rula's "lying arab" comment.

Im sorry to just pick this part of your post (all of which i agree with) but Rulas comment had me in stitches. After all the upset and talk of racism, and then she comes out with the above remark  But i did find it funny and very nearly wet myself.
