Sven is to leave as England manager.

Anyone else think that he has been hounded out? Someone, definately didn't like or want him as manager anymore. I thought he said he was going to leave after the World Cup anyway?

Many England fans blame The News of World and The Sun and have organised a boycott.

I've never been keen on Sven, I feel he's been more than a 'naughty boy', in so far as his personal life has been plastered on broadsheet after broadsheet. A disadvantage of being a public figure. I have also read time and time again, that he has not given his best to the team.

Having said that, I also think the media have gone out of there way to create damaging news.

Sven hasn't exactly helped himself by openly speaking out to give his version of the truth. It could therefore be said the way has been already cleared for his leaving.

This happens a lot in football, managers always get blamed if the team lose a lot and fail to achieve certain targets.

This also happens with prolific footballers when they lose popularity because they have a questionable personal life or a self addictive habit which when coupled with bad displays of public behaviour is bound to lead to there downfall. Drugs and Alcohol, the main problems here. Victims of it no doubt to numerous to list. Georgie Best. GAZZA comes to mind with me, coming from Newcastle. Many more are out there.

I think Sven has been stupid - so he has to pay the price and loose his hugely paid job.

Mr.B said to me last night that we would play badly in the World Cup as the manager wont have his heart in it. But who is to blame for that ?? Sven is. He shouldn't of spoken about the players to an undercover reporter. Im sure the players would of lost all respect for Sven and he deserves to loose his job. He was a kn@b.

I dont know who will take over. The rumour mill is saying Jose Mourinio (sp) which will be fine by me as i like to lust after him.

But wasn't Sven stitched up? Some say he was entrapped by the newspapers. Why now, so close to the World Cup, would a patriotic newspaper spend thousands to entrap him?
