View Full Version : The Night of a Thousand Fights...
OOhh this is good, they are all taking pot shots at each other now. George has gone to town on Preston and is now pulling Michael apart.
Maggot looks lke he is going to **** himself. Pete is loving it all and Chantelle is flicking her hair

Patsy 24-01-2006, 08:51 PM Can I come out yet?
That was amazing - wasn't Traci soooooooooooo out of her depth!!
Dolores 24-01-2006, 09:20 PM the horror, the horror!
mazwad 24-01-2006, 09:27 PM Maggot and Tracey seemed bemused by it all. Maggot put his two pennyworth in after the event but wasn't brave enough to say much while it was going on. Dennis disappointed me with his ranting as he had started going up in my estimation.
Chantelle stood her ground and good for her I hope she makes it to the end now. Preston wasn't much help to her all he could manage was w*nker.
Barrymores defence of them left me unconvinced he seemed to be playing to the camera all the time and found the opportunity to turn it round to himself again. Pete just winds them all up and let's them destroy themselves.
Fee For All 24-01-2006, 09:39 PM Much as I hate to say it, I think Barrymore excelled - he stayed calm, made some incisive observations and controlled himself enough to allow Galloway put his points over, and by-and-large accepted the criticism.
The experienced politician however - who, to be fair, made some valid comments about Barrymore - allowed himself to be shown up by a superannuated light entertainer with a chequered past.
I have had nothing but comtempt for Galloway since seeing him in action during his campaigning in Hillhead in the 80s. I'd like to believe his arrogance and aggression will come back to haunt him, but sadly I also believe his conceit will prevent this.
He's a wily, greedy, self-seeking manipulator of both people and facts. If he comes out of the house to a wave of public disdain, it wouldn't surprise me if he takes some action to buy his way back in. I can almost see him resigning his seat, 'out of respect for, and for the sake of his constituents and Party'. Of course this will only happen if he has a clutch of media offers in his back pocket, which I believe is his true motivation for being in there in the first place.
Fabulous viewing though!:wink2::laugh:
Dolores 24-01-2006, 09:42 PM I think George's hankering to be in the spotlight and to hob nob with celebrities came over loud and clear when his wish for Jim to Fix was that he could go to the Oscars and walk down the red carpet.
George is shallower than anyone else in that house because he is so pompous and spouts about moral high ground. He has put himself up on a very high pedestal and boy is he in for a few bruises when he falls off it.
Andrea 24-01-2006, 09:50 PM Much as I hate to say it, I think Barrymore excelled - he stayed calm, made some incisive observations and controlled himself enough to allow Galloway put his points over, and by-and-large accepted the criticism.
I think George has just put Barrymore in pole position to win now.
Patsy 24-01-2006, 09:50 PM I wouldn't go that far, Andrea, but he's certainly pushed him up the rankings.
Woodstock 24-01-2006, 10:15 PM Dennis disappointed me with his ranting as he had started going up in my estimation.
Barrymores defence of them left me unconvinced he seemed to be playing to the camera all the time and found the opportunity to turn it round to himself again. Pete just winds them all up and let's them destroy themselves.
You've said it all for me Maz.
I don't even think the whole altercation was worth it to begin with. Chantelle and Prest did their task, they were under obligation not to mention much of what they were up to, and Pete's attack on the two of them (penny counting session) was the spark which ignited all this. As far as i'm concerned, the two "youngsters" are the innocent party.
Dennis was doing well until he stuck his oar in. I believe his issue is purely with Preston and Preston alone (jealousy).
Once embroiled, i found much of what George said about Barrymore to be true enough. Whether it really needed to be brought out in the open and in that manner is questionable.
I wish to commend the chef for having the decency to stand up for Preston, regardless of the end means. I was waiting for Maggot to intervene when Pete turned on Preston. Maggot has been saying recently that it is only a matter of time before he snaps with Pete, after all. Instead, he just sat there and allowed Pete to twist the knife. He didn't have the balls to say a damn word. Barrymore did.
I'm fairly sure Pete actually called Preston a wa*ker even before Preston himself labelled George the same, so that makes Pete a wa*ker too.
Pete seems to have this fixation with George, and George, who has obviously noticed this himself, is using it to his advantage as Pete is possibly the only other housemate who could embarass George if they were to come to blows.
Barrymore battles hard but eventually collapses and falls into his self-pity routine. He was even doing remarkably well when up against Rodman the other day but Barrymore then called Dennis "Pete" by mistake and it was then that we knew his legs had turned wobbly as hell. That would be the adrenaline screwing up his concentration so he can't really be marked down for that. I thought he stood up well to Dennis - i don't believe any of the others would have done so. But even so, that too was such a pointless confrontation.
Conclusion: It's great tv, and some CH4 producers are smiling like Cheshire cats.
It was great TV!
Loved it hated it loved it!
Fantastic TV no matter how out of order it was!
I was just dying for Tracey to stand up and start shouting obscenities at them all - that would have shut them up.

Hello Buzz,
Is it time for a song? Your thread title sounds a bit like an old song from many years ago.
Have fun.

I really don't think so, Andrea. I just think the boos maybe won't be quite so loud when he comes out.
Pandora 25-01-2006, 03:18 PM Funniest thing Ive seen in years.
Traci and Maggot sitting on the fence so much now that its nearly collapsing under their weight.
Preston being exposed as a weed.
Chantelle coming over as a girl that can not only look after herself, but also as the only person with a shred of dignity left in there.
Barrymore being accused of being self-obsessed, denying it and then finishing the argument with a speech that had more "me's" and "I's" in it than Ive ever heard in my life.
Pete Burns being malicious, vicious and spiteful (but we knew that already lol).
Galloway starting an argument with a smug look and losing it spectacularly and being forced to seethe while his biattch, Pete, comforted him later.
Rodman's bullying mask finally slipping completely as he turned on Preston the ratboy, who promptly shot up his own backside in fear....
FANTASTIC TV....... and every single one of them reacted just as the Psychologists knew they would.
I haven't watched all of this series but on last nights show it is plain that Dennis, George and Pete are bullies and I hope that Dennis and George are evited tonight.

No I didn't, I thought he came across quite well last night... but I don't doubt he is a bully too as although I haven't seen much of it myself, I have been following it by the posts on this site.
