View Full Version : Any news or views of contestants since the show?
Dolores 31-01-2006, 02:58 PM I saw Chantelle on Graham Norton's Bigger Picture last night.
Also on were Ben Fogle, Ruby Wax and Carol Thatcher.
I have to say that Chantelle conducted herself rather well and didn't over step herself trying to compete with the large personalities on there. Maybe she was going by the adage of "It's better to remain quiet and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt"!!
Ruby Wax (who I admire greatly for her wit and deadpan style) was a bit mean to her, but not in a really nasty way, just joshing her a bit for her non-existent reason for being famous. But actually so was Ben Fogle (from the Castaway programme) just famous for being on a tv reality show, and he hasn't done so badly. So maybe Chantelle will be around for a while.

I didn't think Ruby was being mean - I just thought she was being herself - had to stick her oar in the whole time(and I like Ruby as well).
What I thought was funny was when Ruby pressured Chantelle into taking what looked like a dill pickle. Chantelle tried to pass it on to Graham Norton but he was having none of it. A couple of minutes later she had to have a drink - I wonder how hot it was

Ben has just rowed the atlantic - mostly naked. I can't really see Chantelle doing that next - but it would certainly get the press interested. :naughty:
MariaRob 01-02-2006, 11:36 AM Saw the rerelease video of Pete Burns' You Spin Me Round on LK today this morning. They also showed the original which IMO was far better and Pete looks like a totally different person, much softer and better looking, but then I suppose we all were 20 years ago. The vid/re release song obviously takes time to do so this must have been organised weeks ago, totally contrary to Pete behaviour on leaving the House saying he "didnt want fame" - what a load of b**ll**cks!

yes i was searching for the right word, mean isn't the right one, I suppose Ruby's "Waxisms" defy definition!! I love her!
Bonsai 01-02-2006, 11:58 AM I dont know how true it is, but on the front page of the Sun this morning it said that Prestons girlfriend had dumped him, and that he had a passionate night with Chantelle last night.
But being the Sun - i have no idea how true this is !!!
Fee For All 01-02-2006, 12:01 PM George Galloway's attempts at self-publicity on television have failed to sell more than a few dozen tickets for his upcoming one-man tour.
More than 800 tickets are thought to remain unsold for the first show in Northampton, and the eight other venues in Cambridge, Southampton and Halifax are thought to have attracted a similar lack of interest.
*snigger*
Maybe if he promised to wear a leotard...?

It was the pause in the middle
Seabreeze 01-02-2006, 01:21 PM Not heard much only that Barrymore met up with the father of Stuart Lubbock. http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006040752,00.html
If nothing else, its nice to see this story heading to a conclusion and that something is finally getting done to give the family some peace of mind
Andrea 01-02-2006, 01:40 PM I see Barrymore's been on alot of the front pages of the rags this week.
I thought Lubbock's Dad was all out for sueing him again.
He soon changed his mind.
Wonder how much money the Sun gave him for the exclusive meeting with Barrymore. (moi, cynical, nah!)

Seabreeze 01-02-2006, 03:12 PM News on sky is that Pete Burns will not be prosecuted over his monkey fur coat
Pandora 01-02-2006, 03:48 PM News on sky is that Pete Burns will not be prosecuted over his monkey fur coat
Thats not surprising. He was bought the coat from a vintage shop. If anyone should be prosecuted its the man who sold it, however if the coat is vintage - ie arrived in this country before 1930 - then no law has been broken.
