I hate Wallace & Gromit!

I am not a huge fan of Wallace & Gromit but I do have respect for the guy who does it, he is obviously very talented.

I am delighted George Clooney won, as much as I was absolutely gutted when he left ER, it is great that he has achieved so much since The Killing Tomatoes! I really want to see Syriana now!

Crash is a fantasic movie and I would urge anyone to watch it.

It was good to see that no one film stole the show this year, although I have to admit that I have never heard of the guy who won the Best Actor.

I stayed up and watched this, though I missed the beginning as I'd been watching all the Red Carpet stuff on some crappy cable programme.

Really glad to see George Clooney get acknowledgement at last, and the 'Crash' contingent looked really taken aback with their win.

The show seemed a bit less glitzy than normal, and I felt it was the better for it. Acceptance speeches were better too - no extravagant blubbing and histrionics. More like the BAFTAs really.

Is Hollywood growing up?

The show looked really good, the best one I have ever seen. It looked more professional and as you said Fee, grown up

The Oscars along with the BAFTAS are something I look forward to watching every year. I have never stayed up to see them live as prefer to tape them as I can then run on all the crap that accompanies these prorammes. I was not really impressed with this years presenter as I reckon the only real host of the Oscars is Billy Crystal, IMO no ones has ever come close. I was pleased with this years winners and in a way glad that Brokeback didn`t win best picture as it was all hyped to do so.

I'm glad for Reese Witherspoon. She's a Nashville, TN girl. Her first movie was "The Man in the Moon" and it was soooooooo good and I knew then she would be big. But she doesn't take herself too seriously and favors her family over working all the time. A lot of people thought 'Brokeback Mtn.' would do more, awards wise. I didn't realize Larry McMurtry did the script...he's a good novelist, but has gone off on a western theme of late. I love Phillip Seymour Hoffman!! Did anyone see him in "Along Came Polly", with Jennifer Anniston and Ben Stiller?? When he walks up to Ben Stiller at a party they've just gotten to and tells him they have to go right then b/c he's 'sharted'* I had diet pepsi flying out of my mouth!!

*sharted: when you try to fart but experience a little more than just air.

I'm glad Reese Wotherspoon won best actress - I've always liked her.

Likewise, Philip SEymour Hoffman deserved to win best actor - even though I've not seen 'capote', i do think he really is a great actor.
