no, there's no formal "scoresheet" but most of the tasks are based around selling, buying, being a team leader etc.

i'm surprised you dont watch it ... I think you'd enjoy it. Give it a go!

It's too much like work! Last thing I need.

I am dissapointed that the under-rated ability called "back-stabbing" has been omitted. I have skills in that department as well as "shirt-stirring" too.:naughty:

Seriously Fee, you should watch it. It's brilliant entertainment, and only like work the way that "The Office" was like work, or "Dilbert" is like work :)

I watched the tail-end of the last series Mik and wanted to punch out Sugar's lights. :ninja:

Though it's a good reminder of why I opted for self-emploment.

My strengths aren't really covered in the above although I did tick strategy...

My biggest strength is my ability to keep it simple...I can more often than not see the quickest and easiest way to accomplish a task very early on and do get a little frustrated when people take too long fluffing about stuff and not making any decisions...so I guess I can also be quite decisive...and very efficient!

I think mine would be selling.:ghost:

Great thread! :good: I voted for all of them except "Criticising the team leader". Why? Because I have been bought up to respect authority.

Oh, I also voted for "other" as apparently I can be very patronising. :)

errr ... Haydon do you see that as a strength?? ;)

I do have some of the above strengths, ie selling if I believe in the product ... there is no stopping me at car boot sales!

But one thing i couldn't cope with is so many people in the team jockeying for position all the time and being so loud and noisy with it! I need a calm atmosphere to work well in or if it is frenetic it has to go at my pace of frenetic ...which is actually quite slow!

I'm also rarely taken in my charm although I expect people to fall to their knees when I think I'm being charming!

Yup! Because I believe I'm able to explain things, including to those who perhaps learn at a slower speed. Some may already know it, but for others it might well be the simple explaination they have been needing. Probably, why I lecture/teach. :smartie:

In the 'other' category I would also put my ability to stay calm as a strength.

I only voted for criticising the Team Leader. It's not the only thing I would be good at, but it's definitely what I would do best.

In the context of the programme, obviously.

I'm sorry Dolores but I don't understand this. Are you having a dig at the size of my vagina?

I wouldn't presume to dig at your vagina ... esp after it's nickname ... does it have teeth? :naughty:

Well if I were you I would feed it banana sandwiches and keep very quiet.

And if that don't work, try 'negotiation' [my strength] to quell the beast!

This is a neat subject.

I'd be rubbish on the Apprentice I think as I'm one of those people who work best on my own. For the sake of vote I've said I'd be good at criticising the team leader and leading the team though. I haven't yet seen a team leader among that bunch who didn't deserve some criticism, which is why I voted that. And leading the team? Well, I have led teams at work so I know I am capable of doing that, but in the contect of the programme I doubt I could lead any of those characters because they don't WANT to be led. Every single last one of them is a glory chaser who would be convinced they could do it better. The role of Team Leader in the Apprentice is a poisoned chalice. The only way to manage it is to be the more arrogant and forceful than the people you are "leading". In other words not to lead but to dictate and overrule as Manny did last week.
