I got this from a site that sends info re: off the wall and real important days of note...just thought I'd share them.
Dream Day [ March 11 ]
Every success begins with a dream and a dream, in my opinion is both the inspiration and motivation we need to move ahead. So dream big and celebrate the power of your imagination on Dream Day. Catch some snooze whenever you can and escape into the magical world. And if you can't catch sleep, just dare to dream with open eyes while you share the fun with folks with some dreamy ecards.
Alfred Hitchcock Day [ March 12 ]
Now if you're thrilled at thrillers, you must be a huge fan of Sir Alfred Hitchcock. He is the man who gave the movie-buffs a few of their all-time fave flicks. It's no secret now that millions of people stopped taking showers after watching the film 'Psycho'. So this March 12, get together with all your pals to have a thriller of a time. Alfred Hitchcock Day is here to send a few fun-chills up your spine.
Pi Day [ March 14 ]
And here's some really cool trivia. Pi Day is celebrated every year on March 14 (3.14) because Pi [the 16th letter (P) of the Greek alphabet] has a mathematical value of 3.14. Interesting, huh ? This day is celebrated in math classes with the teachers and students singing some fun Pi Day songs and eating pies. Now whatever you do, make sure you have heaps on fun with all your dear ones.
Genius Day [ March 14 ]
Of course you'd agree that I'm a genius, maybe one yet to be recognized, but I sure am one ! Well, that apart, the one man who can undoubtedly be called a genius, is Sir Albert Einstein. And to honor him every year, Genius Day is celebrated on his birthday. Did you know that Einstein had an IQ as high as 160 ! Maaan…I don't think I've even 16. But hey, there has to be the lesser kind of geniuses, else how would the bigger ones get valued ? Now to the point—get smart and celebrate the day with some mind-tickling wishes.
St. Patrick's Day [ March 17 ]
Green, for once, is the color of celebration— St. Patrick's Day is here to paint the town green ! So go green now—bring out the Shamrocks and chase the Leprechauns. Go Irish in every way…whether you are in Ireland or not, make sure the festivities are as grand as the mighty country itself. Wish your folks a Happy St. Patrick's Day and have fun with your friends at the parades. And when you're doing everything Irish, why leave out the yummy Irish delicacies ? Make sure you have a whole lot of corned beef and cabbage this March 17. Make this a memorable St. Paddy's Day for everyone you love by sending them warm wishes.
ps it's an e-card site but you aren't being asked by me to e-card anyone...I just thought it was interesting...PI day, hmmmm!
