It's the other bridesmaids packet of Mayfair, I don't smoke (insert my halo here because I so deserve it for resisting) and (I think) a hairbrush... it was the brides hotel room, the rest of us just got your average closet sized ones :D

And the leather bound spring onions are actually matching flowers to the ones I'm holding (other bridesmaid again)

PS I sent the pic to my best friend and she said "you scrubbed up well although you look cross eyed" and that's the nicest thing she's said to me in 15 years :D

Samm, sweetie...you look fab, what are trying to go for dieting...the waif look?? And you DO NOT LOOK cross-eyed!! Tell your friend that maybe SHE'S cross-eyed!! You really look all gorgeous and posh and the color of the dress suited you...at least it's not one of those HORRID bridesmaid dresses!! I saw one today in the most hideous turqouise-blue color as one of my co-workers is in a wedding tomorrow and that's what color the dress was...ewwww, gave me shivers. AND, her husband is in the wedding as well and his waistcoat is the turqouise-blue in a checked pattern with cream and his bow-tie and cumberbund are the t/b color. I would have to wear sunglasses to that wedding!!

Double post...I'll do some chants shortly for the offense, but I'm still not sleeping and there's NO WORk tonight, that's why I'm 'catching up' and it's 1.23am CST here. I'll probably be getting off here and trying to catch a few winks in a bit so I can grocery shop...which I'm tired of doing on Saturday b/c people are all over the place, congesting the aisles, chatting with their cousin's brother's mother's aunt or whatever they haven't seen in forever and they will die if the can't stand all up in my way and 'catch up'. Then Msboy #2 has been coming along the past few times and he HAS to operate the buggy(trolley) and I have had several near miss lawsuits, and he can't be persuaded that it MAY possibly be him manuvering the buggy in a litigious manner instead of the person he nearly creamed's fault...:mad2:

Still doing fine pulling the 2 jobs...had Friday night off from the paper. Go in at 9.00 pm and we get Sunday's paper finished. We already had put the comics, sale ads, coupon books, TV guide, USA Today magazine, etc., together last night. It's really quite easy and everyone is really nice, but we have this one WEIRD guy and I try to not make eye contact with him. I worked 20 hours Wednesday...I opened the daycare at 6.30am and worked there till 12.30pm. Got to the paper at 1.30pm and finally left at nearly 3.45-ish am Thursday morning! Didn't have to be at the Daycare till 10.00am-6.00pm, the the paper 9.00pm-1.45-ish am Friday. Daycare 9.00am-6.00pm and NO PAPER FRIDAY NIGHT!! Just now I have nearly 19 hours at the paper...then's there's tonight's hours. That'll be my check for next week on Wednesday night and then I'll get paid my Daycare hours on Friday...2 CHECKS!!! That will go to groceries and bills...

Thanks Andrea...I actually was off Friday night and didn't go into work until 7.30pm Saturday night...just got in a little while ago, it's after 5.00am! Saturday I had a "ME!ME!" day...I went and got my oil changed at the oil changing place. Went over to K-Mart and got 2 very nice, expensive shorts on clearance for $6.00 each:thumbsup: (Fee or someone will have to do the conversion...I'm too tired!), and a CD, and a lapdesk/tray thingie that has pockets on either side for pens, scissors, etc. I have a bean bag bottom one at work now and it's older than dirt and not that user friendly anymore...then I went grocery shopping w/o the youngest having to 'drive' the buggy and running people over:w00t: !! I was gone nearly 4 hours just loafing about...then had to go to work. I'm only scheduled 3 days next week:yahoo: !

Nothing much happening here. Mr.B has gone to the pub, and when he gets home (he wont be long) we are off to the club next door.

I had suggested going for a meal tonight, and its still a possibility but im a little skint till payday so who knows.

Ive spent the morning pulling all the furniture out in the lounge and hoovering behind everything, and cleaning windows etc ... Im in the mood now for vodka.

I was meant to be taking the wife and sis in-law to their grandparents in Farnham, which is at least a couple of hours drive mostly round the M25.

I went round Mazwad's this afternoon and we sat in the Garden looking at the dead grass patch where the pool used to be :(

Still, it had to be packed away while the weather was dry enough to get it all cleaned out and dried so it won't go mouldy while it's in storage over the Winter. Roll on next Summer.

I'm just wondering whether to go and do battle with Tesco's (it's flipping manic on a Sunday - not the shop but getting out onto the dual carriageway. There's sometimes a 20 minute tailback, mainly due to plonkers who won't move over into the empty outside lane but insist on hugging the inside so people can't pull out from the store :( )

I think I've just talked myself out of it so I'll take a walk to the local mini Tesco and get the few essentials that I need.

Haven't posted for a while, but hopefully the gaps will get shorter now!

Today (well, it's 2am so yes, today!) after night shift, I'm off home to pack some stuff as me and my other half are setting off for a mate's house in Bath after lunch. It's the start of a 3 or 4 day marathon trip round the country on the way to Glasgow. My other half is navy, and is being posted to the naval base at Faslane  so we're driving up via various friends and family!

Not really sure what else today might bring as I can't think straight at 2am! (except that I won't be driving to Bath, I'll probably be asleep instead!)

I last had it done about 18 months ago, and i made a right idiot of myself. I hate the fact that opticians have to get up VERY close. The guy who did it last was almost touching noses with me for about 5 minutes, and i got the giggles. I was a complete child. He kept stopping and giving me pitying looking. I would apologise, and then giggle again as soon as he came near !!!

I think i need new glasses though, so they need to be checked.

So i need new glasses.

I really cant afford any, but there is no way im going to buy a cheap £17 pair and look like i did at school in my NHS bins. When you just need reading glasses its different, but when they are on your face permanently you want to feel OK in them.

So i picked a pair, and i am now £200 worse off :bored: :nerd: <---- Bonnie in her glasses.

We are kinda skint right now, and the first 'go' is free. If he fails he will have to pay £22 for every re test. He gets 5 goes ... then he is out :(

Finger crossed for him. I have every faith that he will pass. He has been upstairs in his office practicing for ages.

P.s. - if he does win i will take him out for a celebratory drinkie (cos i get paid today !!).

what's a hazard test, Bonsai?

Its what the kids do as part of their theory test (I think) when they do their driving test.

The instructors have never had to do it before. They get assessed regularly by having someone sit in the back of their car whilst they teach - and they then get scored. But they have never had to sit an actual exam (well, not since they qualified to be instructors anyway).

So the hazzard test is sitting in front of a computer, and driving a virtual car. They have to spot hazards ... like kids walking behind cars, or dogs running across the street, or lorries etc .....

It sounds easy, but the car for the instructors moves really quick, and the hazards are hard to spot.
