I watched this on Saturday and I am just not so sure it is:
1. Any good
2. As clever as it thinks
3. Not that removed from the truly awful Eraserhead
I hope that AI will be better this Sat

AI...is that the one with the robot kid? And jude law as the robot gigalo?
oh God..seriously.This was one of the worst films I've ever seen.
It's sooooooooooo long drawn out....it is HOURS long, and as for the ending...donn't get me started.:ranting:
I was actually depressed after watching this film.Depressed that i'd wasted so much of my life watching it.
But that's just my humble o.Praps someone else out there liked it??

Listen to Aon. She speaks the truth; granted, in a strange accent.
Yes, pointless, yawnarama, dissapointing, shame really cos it had such potential.

Yes they had the story line for a really good film and just totally f**ked it up. I must admit though I don`t find many films with Jude Law in that good.

AI was good (not very good or excellent) up until the last five minutes which then ruined the whole film for me.
Donnie Darko is definately a film you have to watch again to get into it. It is very odd and surreal and I read it as being focused on the depths of teenage angst. I don't normally do far out surreal films but this one, after the second watching, grew on me and now I really like it.
I'm not sure that watching Donnie Darko again is a good idea because like The Sixth Sense, and The Game ( exellent film ) it's the twist that makes it special and once you know it's coming it kind of dilutes the impact. The Curse of the Wererabbit is soooooo brilliant now I could watch that again and again cos of all the amazing little details that you can't possibly see first time round.

Ahhh gotta love all things Wallace and Gromit that is a written rule!
I dunno JJ...I found that the first time I really didn't get Donnie Darko at all...it left me a little cold...anyway I was lulled into watching it again with a freind of mine and the second time through something clicked and I really enjoyed it. Have seen it a couple of times since and I really like it now!
I bought the DVD for £3 ages ago - Haven't watched it yet - one day ...........................................

Just be prepared for sudden out bursts of 'Weeeeeeee' as you truck around afterwards...seriously you can't help yourself!
I loved Donnie Darko. Had to watch it a few times before I understood it....still not sure that I fully understand it now though. But it's entertaining nonetheless.
