Steve was absolutely AWFUL and so was Rowetta (though nobody else seemed to notice). Her rendition of "River Deep" showed there is nothing special about her at all.

G4 - I don't get them. Why are they there?

As usual, the only star in the show was Tabby. He really DOES have talent, and heaps of it, and he's the only one I've ever seen on one of these shows who could genuinely sell millions of records for years to come.

I'm voting for Rowetta and Steve, as I have done throughout the competition because I love 'em both (and to spite the nasty-judge-twins). I like Tabby too. Enjoyed his first one but I don't think he's done himself any favours with the Bon Jovi number. Didn't compare well with the real thing.

Thought Tabby and G4 were the best tonight, which is a turn around for me! Loved Tabby's fist one, showed his versatility but could have done without the guitar/comfort blanket again.

G4 were just great, the Queen number was excellent. loved it.

Rowetta, she was great, no doubt, but she has a harshness to her voice that I just don't like. Sang her second song better, much more controlled than usual.

Steve, the weakest tonight, looked uncomfortable, missed his intro' think he might be out tonight.

Yep, steve really has lost his sparkle now hasn't he, I thought his first song was really good and enjoyed it - its my stylee, but the twinkle in his eyes has gone. He's so nervous..Rowetta got by because she is sparkling. She or G4 should go, but I think it will be steve.

Steve is OK but still mediocre and agree he's lost his sparkle. I think the reason I like him best though is cos I like all that early R&B Motown stuff he sings. :)

Tabby is just becoming a joke now with that guitar and the fact that he NEVER plays it, I don't count strumming the same cord over and over (which is what he did in the first song) playing and neither does it count if you have a plectrum in your hand that you keep using as a prop! :closedeye

As for the judges, Louis is becoming more and more sinister and Sharon is playing to the crowd all the time - very annoying. Simon is aquitting himself very well though and I'm with him on the G4 thing tonight. You cant criticise them for having no talent or singing off key but at the same time you just cannot see what their niche is, except to be "lovely boys".

I still can't see the appeal of Tabby. He hasn't got an iota of charism and he always looks a complete tit. Plus having the increasingly annoying Sharon in his corner is a definite turn off for me.

I liked Steve's first one but the second one you could just tell he wasn't happy with it.

Rowetta, thought she was a bit off in River Deep but sang well second.

And G4, well what can I say? They were great tonight and 'You'll never walk alone' always brings a tear to my eye.

I'm hoping Tabby will go but think it'll probably be G4.

Louis is a hindrance for G4, I think. They're stuck in the "novelty act" slot. If Simon was managing them, they'd be knocking everyone's socks off with classic rock numbers.

I think we'll hear more of them once the competition is over, as long as they ditch Louis.

To Whom it may concern , Tabby has the worst voice I have ever heard, he has no style, he sings pathethetically. He constantly hides behind the guitar. Although he claims he is a rocker his voiced leaves a lot to be desired. This weeks voting was a total farse and Rowetta out sang everyone tonight, this was totally her best week. This programme is a fix. I have thought so for a number of weeks . This show is supposidley about the X factor Tabby ? Im sorry but I am totally disgusted.

She obviously was distancing herself from Simon after the hugfest with G4 so that when her name was called out next she wouldn't have to hug Steve. Silly silly cow! Ah well Rowetta back to doing backing vocals for the Happy Mondays! Shame they dont' have a record deal at the moment!!!

And did you notice Tabby's face when she said she would be back next week supporting him! He looked simultaneously stunned and distinctly underwhelmed!

I agree. Rowetta was rude, self obsessed, and I really didn't like the tone of her voice. She wasn't popular enough, and she couldn't handle it. Tough.

He is like Sharon's poodle and seems to have no back bone at all. He does however sing good old rock standards which quite frankly any half decent singer could get the crowds singing along with. So you have to congratulate Sharon's choice of songs as being good old sing along anthems. I'm not sure anything orginal would ever come from the Tabby/Sharon combination.

I'm an old rocker too. Tabby's okay, but he's hardly a rock star .

He's unique in this competition, but in the rock world he's just another jobbing front man. Hey, I'm not knocking that - it's a great job - but equally I don't see anything in Tabby that lifts him above his peers.

Well, Steve is just someone's embarrassing Dad singing at a karaoke. He is EXTREMELY unattractive (which can't help in the music business, just ask Michelle McManus) and has absolutely NO charisma whatsoever. G4 are just.....weird. Like Simon, I don't know what to say about them because I don't understand why they are there - it's like being very good at balancing an egg on your nose - very interesting for about two seconds but what's the point?

I totally agree Dol, it was a result I could only have dreamed of! Rowetta wound me up to the point of distraction last night, running around like she owned the show, I bet Simon was mortified. Steve was lucky though, I thought he'd be gone last night, but he was reprieved. Just so gald to see the back of Rowetta :)

I think Tabby absolutely SUCKS! He prances around the stage and "owns it", so fair enough. He has charisma and confidence. He can manage a few chords on a guitar. But unfortunately, the guy cannot sing!

He "sang" Living on a Prayer last night. Only he didn't sing it at all. The Backing singers did a briliant cover of the original whilst Tabby pranced around and held out his Mic to the audience. The few lines that he did sing were flat (but the awfulness of them was mostly hidden by the brilliance of the backing singers).

Sorry, but I have heard Jon Bon Jovi sing the same song live - and he SANG it. The backing singers were merely the accompanyment - not the main act!

Tabby also sang "More than words" which he did do a half decent job of. But I've heard other people sing it better - miles better - while busking the same song at Bank Station on a Tuesday evening.

Tabby covers songs on this show and tries to copy the original. But he never quite does it as good as the original. I've seen other people, on other shows, do covers and put their own spin on it, and sometimes I've thought they did a better job than the original. I have never thought that about Tabby.

He reminds me of a guy who strums a guitar and sing a few song with his mates in his Mums garage while harbouring a pipe dream of being a "rock star". He has the confidence, he has the sexiness, he has the charisma. But....he ain't got the voice.

Did anyone here ever watch "Fame Academy". Tabby reminds me of Peter from that show. Same style, same charisma, same ownership of the stage, same cr@ppy voice. The judges of Fame Academy loved Peter, just like the judges of X Factor love Tabby. But who hears of Peter now? Lemarr was on the same show, and never quite got the adoration from the judges that Peter got. Lemarr must be laughing on the other side of his face!!!!

I agree with you about the backing on Tabby's song Karen. That was soooo not the audience singing when he directed the microphone at them. However, I do think he has the x-factor in spades, and can fire up an audience into a frenzy. However, unless he's got a group to front, I can't see where his future lies. I wouldn't compare him to Peter, because Tabby can sing in tune most of the time whereas Peter never could.

I liked G4 and enjoyed both of their performances. My concern is that they rely very heavily on Jonathan. He is beautiful, intelligent, articulate and has a crystal clare voice, so it's kind of understandable. I wanted to mother him when he started crying!

Steve: Hated the video with the schoolkids as much as I did Tabby with the baby. Loved his first number, but if he really wants to make the women go wild, he needs to accomodate some sexy moves when he's not singing. A Tom Jones shuffle here and there should do it. In fact I can see him doing a version of 'Kiss'

Rowetta: She knew as soon as it came down to her and Steve, there was only one way to go. Shame in a way, because I actually quite liked her performance last night. I thought her second song was excellent. Rather than blasting it out, she controlled the verses and kept a lid on that powerful voice of hers, only building up to a crescendo in the chorus.

Wasn't too surprised that Rowetta went tonight, and although I do like her voice her behaviour was just unbelieveable!!! Why can't Simon sign her after the show though? Sharon has stated that she is going to sign Roberta and Cassie, so why can't Simon sign Rowetta?

Even though Steve missed his cue, I thought his first song was really goo, wasn't too keen on the second. I did like the fact that he admitted he wasn't happy and that he had made mistakes.

And what was all that about with Jonathan, I thought his mum had some kind of life-threatening illness...........she had a COLD for god's sake!!!! He is cute, but my god I don't think I could cope with all that emotion breakdown every 5 minutes!

But i thought G4 and Rowetta performed best Saturday night, Steve and Tabby were very very weak.
As much as Rowetta annoys me with her attitude based on performances on Sat i thought she deserved to stay.

It particularly will p!ss me of if Tabby wins this - i have loads a friends in college who play the guitar well, can sing well and are good looking and are true rock and rollers like the Tabmeister but i wouldn't say any of them have the X-FACTOR!! All Tabby can do is covers and not particularly well either...

Steve was my total fave but i thought he was weak last week - i love G4 too and i think i want them to win it now, i loved their performance on sat night but one thig is for sure i really really hope Tabby doesn't win it....!
