It's happened three times this year, Andrea. Every now and then one of the heathens in my household turns the power off without allowing the computer to shut down properly. It took three or four days to pull itself together at Christmas and in March, but this time it recovered after only one day. Poor thing must be getting used to the abuse.

I'm seriously considering moving out and taking it with me.

Those heathens should be locked away Dab :laugh:

Just waved Mr. C off to work and I am having a breather and then I'm going to sort out the washing, clean up the earth that he left on the bottom stair when the bag split after he had weeded the front :ranting: , and just generally restore order to the house. Exciting day eh?

Andrea, we are off to the Peak District. We are staying just outside Ashbourne, so will spend a couple of days at Alton Towers, visit Chatsworth House and a few other bits & pieces but mainly just chill! :)

OOohhhhh Chatsworth. That brings back wonderful memories Bella of my last outing with my Grandad before he died. It was a great day - so enjoy.

Me, Mr. C and 12 yr old grandson went to the Carboot this morning (surprise, surprise) and my son and his girlfriend were there with a stall. They had the 2½ year old with them and although he'd been good he was getting a bit restless so I brought him home with me.

Consequently, I am popping on and off here while he watches CBeebies and in between amusing, consoling, and generally looking after him. Feel a bit cheated that I can't watch the aftermath of the eviction night on BB, but these sacrifices have to be made. ;)

Eldest grandson has been good with him but has got fed up and gone out on his bike (can't blame him - lol).

Mr. C has gone to work so it's just me and little Evan at the moment.

He seems happy enough, asked for mummy a couple of times but I soon distracted him.

If he gets too stressy I always have "cake making" up my sleeve. He loves standing on his little stool in the kitchen and throwing all the (packet) ingredients in a bowl. A bit messy but keeps him cheerful :laugh:

As they are now going to the Cinema (leaving baby with g/f's sister who owes them a "babysit") they have taken Tom with them to see War of the Worlds.

I am just about to have a wash and a lie down. I have just saved Mary Duck's life!! And I feel all wrought and rung out.

We let her out this morning, with Baby burger for company. We put them into the large chicken pen [all the other chickens were out for the day - shopping or something!!]. Then I took Tiddles to a party, when I came back I went to check on Mary and Baby - Mary was giving frantic yet weak squeaks - she was in a trough of water and was unable to get out. Gawd knows how she got in??

But her body temp was so low - so I rushed her in the house, gave her a warm bath, into a towel and blasted the hairdryer on her for about 10 mins, then stuck her under a heat lamp for 30 mins - I never left her side.

She then stood up gave a baby quack and said 'I am fine now Mum, can I go back out to play with Baby?'

So I have taken her back out and locked her and Baby into their pen in the warm polytunnel. she is as right as rain now!! Phew!

But I am filthy and wet and a bit stinky!

Killing an hour in the library....back top work tomorrow but nothing to do today....although I could be sorting my bedroom out but it's to darn hot to do any form of physical labour today! :bored:

Getting ready to visit DIL in hospital as she has had a pitituitary tumour removed. We got back from holiday on Saturday and the letter was waiting telling her to go in on Monday. They operated yesterday and everything went well which was a great relief to all of us.
