Are you an advertisers dream ?
Do you see all those miracle face creams that claim to make you have skin that appears as if you are 8 months old again, did you rush to buy some Cillit Bang, do you buy gems from Gems TV because they are cheap ?
I have to say that my husband is an advertisers dream. If i dare put the shopping channel on he spends hours watching miracle car cleaner, grout whitener etc saying "cor, thats good - we could do with some of that". Luckily he would never call them (he hates the phone) and i wont so he has never bought any.
But he does love those brochures that pop through the door from Kleeneze for example. He has spent a small fortune on carpet cleaners that never work.
So - are you an advertisers dream ?

I bought some gold cleaner from QVC once and it was c**p. Then we bought (on someones recommendation) some of that oxy clean stuff that at the time you could only buy it off the tv. Now I wait and see if anyone recommends anything before I consider buying anything like that. All the stuff in the magazines that you get through the door I always think I want and need but never buy any of it.

I have never bought from the shopping channel but if there is an ad for something new then I look for it when I am shopping. Yes I rushed out to buy Cillet Bang and its rubbish, no better than any other bog standard cleaner.

I am an advertiser's dream  I buy anything and everything just to give it a try. I am a personofication of the old saying "A fool and their money are soon parted". I wouldn't dare add up what I have spent on face creams, cleaning stuff, clothes from ebay, bedding and gadgets from the shopping channels, none of which has lived up to the great claims made for them or didn't fit etc.
I've bought Cillet Bang and the newer Cillet Bang, Fairy degreaser, a Derma Wand (don't ask, google it if you're that curious :) ) a mask that made me look like an Egyptian Mummy that was supposed to support your face during the night but gave Mr. C a fright, carpet cleaner that is supposed to magic away the dirt, Galvanic hair removal gadget (used once), bargain pack of 2 velour tracksuits, supposed to be size 18 - well the bottoms are but the tops are size 12 :( , home Derma-brasion kit that does nothing), oh the list is endless and making me depressed now.
Will I ever learn? Probably not. Wonder what I'm missing on the Shopping Channel :naughty:
Yes I am [see Mascara thread].
Anything that is advertised; ironing board covers, Cillit Bang, the steamer that cleans the grout - I have bought and tried them all.:evilmad:
Having said that I am still missing the George Foreman grill ... what is it like anyone???

not in the context you are speaking about bonnie as i dont have any cleaning or gadget fetishes. but i am a fashion victim, as much as i hate to admit it i am, last year i swore leggings was not a good look but oops!! they look darn good on me! and i will try my damndest to make my waistbelt look good but alas they still accentuate my pot belly.
but i am proud that one fashion fad that gripped the nation was fur gilets and cowboy boots and i had the decency not to get sucked in that time!

They sell them in Comet now, so they've lost some of their appeal for me
I love QVC and have a house full of unsused gadgets to prove it - all bar my Bamix mixer which is fab.
