Northern angel 30-03-2006, 01:28 AM Hello Bridge,
Very nice and at only twelve pounds, what a bargain. I have an addiction to buying as many pairs of shoes to match the number of beautiful gowns in my wardrobe. Is it possible we need hypnotic therapy. Along the lines of 'though shalt not spend and spend and spend on goods you do not need'.
But I'd have to smile at the hypnotist and ask him or her to accompany me on a trip to the shops, just to get the gist of how I propose to spend and spend. After all his definition of 'need' and mine will be entirely different.
Have you ever bought anything which looks great was a bargain buy, but as yet you can't wear them for any length of time without being in agony?
Such was my vanity for a pair of LONDON REBEL shoes, I swear after an hour or so of wearing them I need my slippers to ease the pain.

Thanks Maureen. The pain we go through for vanity eh. i did once buy a pair of shoes they were so lovely but a size too small for my feet, really silly, but i bought them anyway, the Agony never again.

Just wondering why you're asking. Is it that you're not sure if they're 'OK' or not? Or are you wishing to show what a bargain hunter you are? Or is it as I think, that you havea spending problem and you're looking for 'approval' from your peers, to say it's OK?
My opinion on the shoes by the way is that they are just a pair of shoes.
Bonsai 30-03-2006, 08:32 AM I have a bit of a thing for shoes, handbags and costume jewelry / scarves.
My reason for this is that i get frustrated clothes shopping. I have a size 14 waist and a massive ar*se so buying trousers / skirts is a nightmare. Im the same with tops. I have big boobs but relatively small shoulders. So the whole 'shopping' thing is a right pain.
But when it comes to jewelry (i cant spell that word), handbags, shoes etc ... i dont need to worry - so i have heaps of them.
I love a good bargain as i get bored really easily with stuff that i buy, so i would rather get a fashion bag / shoes and spend £15 and use them a few times than spend £100 on a leather pair and feel ive wasted my money.
Aondeag 30-03-2006, 09:53 AM Those shoes are lovely Bridge. And I want them.
I love shoes...and if I see a pair I really like I 'stalk' them until they are reduced to a price I can afford, or a price I don't feel is immoral for a pair of shoes!
Got any other nice ones we can look at?
Fee For All 30-03-2006, 12:18 PM Bridge, you're going about this the wrong way!
You could have bought these (http://vivaladivacom.drct2u.com/productcache/VLD/BO2650/LPG10961223/EI203NA_ORIGPO_0.html.gz) similar shoes for £135 . Now by my reckoning that means you've actually saved £123. A few more purchases like that, and you'll be a rich woman.:pimp:
msgirl 31-03-2006, 02:16 AM I have to buy several pairs of shoes a year or I...I don't know b/c I've never risked not doing it!! I do have a bag obsession. You know carry bags, that you'd throw your book and stuff into so as not to clog up your purse?? Well, I got another one tonight!! I HAD TO...it had ladybugs on it!! But on the smart saver side, I got 3 pairs of shorts today, ON CLEARANCE for $3.50 each pair. I don't know what that is in pounds (FEEEEEEE!), but that's a GREAT DEAL b/c they are nice shorts and that's what I wear at work as it warms up, and I like to look like a 'professional' daycare teacher/director sub in my shorts!:smartie:
Are they plastic though bridge. If so beware the warm weather and squelchy foot noises - to avoid this wear a pair of flesh coloured pop socks.
My addiction at the moment is dark oak book shelves.
Very nice shoes Bridge and bargain!
Even if they fall apart after a few months it wil be fine.
A tip to stop squelchy noises and rubbing if they are plastic is to put white tape (the type you get to hold bandages together) between the shoe and your foot.
