Do you ever tell white lies ... and do you feel guilty afterwards ?

Do you buy yourself a new coat, but tell everyone that it was in the sale ? Do you sometimes elaborate on a tale to make the story more interesting ?

I have just told a while lie - and now i feel BAD.

My husband managed to flog a pair of earrings for me, so i could afford a few pints down the pub. He goes to play darts, so on a thursday i always go with my friend. Mr.B encouraged me to text her and see if she wanted to come out and play ... even though i didnt particularly feel like it. I told her i had to know before Mr.B left the house so i could cag a lift.

I didnt hear anything for an hour - and in that time i had decided i would shave my legs, have a bath, play on here, drink wine and eat a slab of Cadbury's choccie i had in the fridge.

Then she text and said she would love a couple of drinks but couldnt stay long. Well, by this time i had gone off the idea of going - so i told her Mr.B had already left, even though he was sat next to me on the sofa.

How horrid am i

That sounds harmless enough, Bons. I wouldn't feel guilty about that, especially if she's not even a particularly good friend. You should still go to heaven.

I'd be more worried that I was selling my jewellery for drinks than telling lies bonsai! sounds like a slippery slope to me! :pimp:

Actually the original post does sound kinda bad doesnt it !!!

I bought a pair of earrings off Ebay and i didnt like them. Unbenown to me Mr.B had taken them to work with him and a pupil bought them for £12 (i paid £5 for them). He handed me the money on a day when i was broke and couldnt afford my normal thursday night down the pub.
