I went down to Piccadilly & St James's Park on Sunday to watch this spectacle...did anyone else catch this truely amazing visual feast?

If you went you know what I mean...if you didn't go you just wouldn't have any idea of the scale of this thing and the delicate way the little girl moves.

The Elephant is hydraulically operated but the girl is controlled by ropes and pullies. As the girl walks the puppeteers controlling the legs seamlessly change over after every 3 to 4 pulls each as they are solid wood!

a true spectacle

Oh I'm really sorry I missed that - I saw nothing advertised! It looks amazing - apparently the elephant is taller than Admiralty Arch. Am madly jealous, and have just signed up for their newsletter.

It must have been fantastic!
