8 days to go. Of course I won`t like any of them to start with as with every year. Then I will start to have my faves

I won't be allowed to watch it for the first couple of days, until Mr P becomes curious and starts watching it like this ----> :ninja:

Hehe, my hubby's just the same Patsy. Says he doesn't like it but then after the first couple of weeks he somehow knows all the housemates names!

Although I will be watching it from the start as when I'm at home, I have control of the remote:devil:

That is just what Mr.B does too. He REFUSES to watch and pretends to nod off on the sofa when its on .... but within days he is glued with me. And then he starts coming home from work saying things like "i read in the paper today that there has been a big fight in the house between X and X".

No. My husband claims to have no interest and says they are all a bunch of wasters (and other W words), but delights in sitting and slagging them off.

Firstly - Thank you Haydon.

I don't care what others think I will be throwing myself unabashed at the TV, I had Sky + installed last year for the very reason I could doze off with it on and wake up with it still there (actually Mr Cat did put a stop to this but this year I hope to haver over come this problem by buying headsets with a 5' lead )

Mr Cat accepts this is my equivalent football season and delves in and out but generally leaves me be.

I will become obsessed and I dont' care.

There is no need to worry Haydon. Maybe this could be my making and maybe I could be the BB Moderator. I would be very good I would.

Apparently this year they are making it move evil than ever ( yes I know they say this every year). The walls will be made of glass and some how they will be able to make romms smaller

who cares about communal and fully viewable showering and toilet facilites?

not me.

this is the part that I really wish they would cut out. As long as only one housemate at a time could enter the shower or the toilet ... why can't they give them this bit of privacy?

they can always have the outdoors nudey rudey bits on display to all showering facility in the garden for those that like looking at that sort of thing or like going in there and exhibiting themselves ... can' they?!

am I a spoilsport/fuddy duddy/not entering into the spirit old fart?!

I'm with you Dol couldn't care less about seeing anyone's private bits, I wiash they'd wear clothes.
I see Davina is pregnant again! She always seems to be during BB only this time she is sure to be giving birth during the show or else she's just very large.
I was really pleased to see her looking so HUGE on TV the other night as I'm sick of seeing skinny pregnant celebs when I look like the back of a bus at 4 and a half months.

I do admire her for presenting this show when preggers, when I was (preggers) I hated presenting myself to my local shop let alone the world at large.

Catherine please desist from using that word ... it's on my list of words I hate! Flip knows what the other ones are (unless she really did want me to snog her bosums?!)

What preggers Dol. Fair doo's, I hate anything connected with pregnancy...being it for one...YACKETY YACKETY YAH! I have spent 30 months of my life being pregnant thats almost 3 years. I love my children but boy do I have being pregnant...so Dolores I have no sweet connection with any sentiment regarding pregnancy apart from the words...ITS OUT.

I don't know if any other person feels this way but it didn't feel natural at all to me, it felt alien, imposing and horrid.

Dolly....can....worms.....

OK lets work it in weeks then, months are very illusive when it comes to pregancy.

Midwives work on a 40 week cycle based on the first day of your last period.

lets take away 2 weeks from each pregnancy = 6 weeks, then add on 2 weeks of over due time, which leaves 4 weeks to deduct.

Workings:

120 - 6 + 2 = 116 weeks. If you divide this by 4 it equals 29 but if you divide it by 4.30 it = 26.98.

So lets just say more accurately I was pregnant for 116 weeks / 52.14 = 2.22, so I was pregnant for 2.22 years. I stand corrected.

Its still a horrifically long time.

Mine felt like aliens too Cat and at times after their birth I was sure of it. Can't say as I enjoyed the experience at all.

I'm going to sound like an old fuddy duddy now but.....
I hope this year they have some older housemates instead of the usual token 1 or 2 over 25.
I find it hard to watch the first couple of weeks and especially the first night of BB because it seems to me like one big 18-30 holiday with everyone running around screaming - I prefer it when they've settled in a bit and the numbers start going down.

I agree Minks!

it's all the screaming and hollering that I really can't stand! BB5 was the worst with the empty headed "lipgloss bitches" going at full pelt 24/7!

I'm glad I'm not the only one Dol!!

Marco was too high volume for me!! and I was SO glad when Emma left BB5.
I didn't much like Jason in BB5 - but I was on his side over the whole food-fight-night thing.

I didn't start watching BB6 until about 3 or 4 weeks in when it had all calmed down a bit!

Oh me too ladies!!! We want a Sandy that dosn't walk, an Elizabeth, a Penny. I would love to see a show with people who are semi sorted i'e over 40. The Kemals of this world bore the poop out of me. Fill his life with importantant things so he hasn't got so much time to think about himself and I think we would have an intelligent interesting chap.

I dont' know about you lot but I hate talking about peoples sexuality all the time. So what if you are gay, lesbo, virgin, celibate, bi etc.

I DON'T WANT TO KNOW AND I AM NOT INTERESTED.,

Suggest thus.

Closet straight person to mate:

Mate: Hi how are you
Me: I'm straight
Mate: NOOOOOOOO
Me: I am you know, take it where it should be given, love my partner, don't have affairs
Mate: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Me: Got 3 kids, all doing well..quite mentally with it
Mate: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Mate: WHAT ARE YOU LIKE!!
Me: I KNOW!! Mad arn't I?

I would like some older housemates too. Not everyone who watches the show is in their teens / 20s. It would be good to have a few peeps in their 30s /40s and 50s just to see them interact. And not just the 'token' old person who then feels awkward as he / she struggles to fit in.

According to this there are only 12 housemates

I was under the impression we were getting more or do you think more will just come into it as the show goes on?

Totally agree. They should have people in their 40s and 50s so that they can have a true representation of a 'mini-society'.
Come to think of it - have they ever had anyone in their 40s/50s?

Agreed. No gay people, no cross dressers, no thick people, no cockneys or London types.

I say no thicko's as I find that they are the ones who, without stimulation have no idea what to do with themselves, so they sleep or sit and stare making very dull tv. Gay people (so far) have been very boring and have just been wannabe females without any of the charm.

Its over, for having housemates who are "outrageous"

Apart from simulate sex with a wine bottle

I have to say that gay people are / can be great fun. I love Brian in BB1 (or was it two ?) The ones that i get bored with are the wanabee 'divas' who announce every 2 seconds that they are wanabee divas - and basically get on your tits.

Interesting to look back over this thread, our hopes and aspirations for the housemates this year :(

No older people, lots of talk about sexuality, the flamboyant gays, girls snogging girls :(

Absolutely nothing new at all.
