View Full Version : SO World Cup Fantasy League
Haydon 10-05-2006, 09:44 PM I thought it might be a good idea if we have our own World Cup fantasy league.
Amazon are running a fantasy game and I've set up our very own league - SO World Cup Fantasy League. It's free to join and there are some good prizes to be won as well.
Sign up here: http://ff2006.fantasyleague.com
and pick your team.
Once signed up, to join our league you will need to know the unique league pin - which is: 86
See if you can beat "H's Hopefulls"! :)
mikado 11-05-2006, 12:33 PM Nice one Haydon!
Patsy 11-05-2006, 12:35 PM Shouldn't that be "Hopefuls", Haydon? :wink_kiss
I shall get my experts to help me with this (when they get home from school).
mikado 11-05-2006, 12:38 PM LOL if you're going to be pedantic, may as well do it twice! :D
Patsy 11-05-2006, 12:42 PM I don't know what you mean, Mik. *innocent*
mikado 11-05-2006, 01:53 PM *the hell you are!*
:D
Haydon 11-05-2006, 05:16 PM Shouldn't that be "Hopefuls", Haydon? :wink_kiss
I shall get my experts to help me with this (when they get home from school).
... woteva. Don't know... don't care. Are you joining the league?
Welcome aboard Mick!
Nice team - although I'm not sure about Barthez. He's sometimes genius and other times makes a complete mess of things. Zidane? Past it now!
mikado 11-05-2006, 06:40 PM Uh I thought that of all my team Gary Neville was the dodgy one! :D
France are in a pretty soft group, so I don't expect them to leak too many goals. I'm hoping Zidane will take the free kicks and get a few assists from crosses too.
Rob - you're a brave man putting Schwarzer in goal! Not only is he genuinely not good enough for Scotland (and if you're a goalie that ain't good! ) but I reckon the Brazilians will score a hatful against him.
Helen - you're more than brave to pick Owen Hargreaves! :D
Helen - you're more than brave to pick Owen Hargreaves! :D
I guess I had better confess to doing a "lucky dip" then hadnt I - I havent heard of HALF of the "rest of the world" players, so decided if I did it that way I cant blame myself if they are cack - although I would have prefered to have the lovely Becks in my team, for purely pervy reasons of course
Fee For All 12-05-2006, 09:07 PM The site showed an error when I used 86. My boys are now adrift in fantasy land
mikado 12-05-2006, 10:04 PM Looks like yo're in now - and with Dwight Yorke!
Fee For All 12-05-2006, 10:06 PM I'm supporting Tobago - I've seen them play!
mikado 12-05-2006, 11:46 PM It'd be fun going to the home games :)
Fee For All 13-05-2006, 12:21 AM It was
Except it wasn't the world cup
Woodstock 13-05-2006, 12:08 PM Ah well found Hayd! - i'll certainly be having a butchers at the player lists and pikking (sometimes this can be spelt 'picking' also) a squad of me own before it all kicks off. Not sure how to submit a team on the Survivor Online League though, but i'll do my best.
I must give prior warning to all rivals that i once finished 6th (3 places outside the 3rd and final cash prize position - approx. £5000) in the Sunday People Fantasy Football Competition a few years back, and also finished a very respectable (but not respected by anybody here at this forum i imagine!) 21st position in the Daily Star World Cup 2002 Fantasy Football Competition - so i'm good...and i'm shrewd...and i'm just warnin' ya...:yahoo:
Andrea 13-05-2006, 09:44 PM Nice one Haydon, nice one son!:w00t:
Well I think my crabs have nipped it in the bud with the lot of you!
Patsy 14-05-2006, 11:39 AM Why are we pending?
Why-y are we pending?
Patsy 14-05-2006, 11:51 AM Is anyone going to own up to managing the Dribbly Dozers?
And Fee, you're really not taking this very seriously, are you?
Fee For All 14-05-2006, 12:32 PM http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/FenellaFinkelstein/smiley/peerroundcorner.pngWho? Me? It took me ages to pick that team.
I may have to drop Dwight Yorke though.
Patsy 14-05-2006, 12:35 PM Judging by his face, he was dropped on it at birth. :bag:
Are you going for the least points?
Fee For All 14-05-2006, 12:51 PM With Amelia in goal? Pshaw!
Although I do hope the boys aren't too rough with her. I imagine she's better at hockey.
Patsy 14-05-2006, 05:06 PM No. I imagine her in a rather fetching empire line frock, wielding a croquet mallet with her second cousin, Rupert. She is flirting a little, the sun is shining and a squirrel is nibbling his nuts on a near-by branch.
Fee For All 14-05-2006, 05:08 PM At least she's not a Buffoon. And I see Mars has a bread roll in goal.
I'm not stupid you know.
Patsy 14-05-2006, 05:11 PM And a horse up front.
You could have fooled me.
Fee For All 14-05-2006, 05:17 PM Haydon's got a ponce at silly mid-off.
I know all the lingo, me :smartie:
Patsy 14-05-2006, 05:19 PM Is he in the slips? You just made me lol, btw. Thanks for that.
mazwad 14-05-2006, 06:39 PM I have entered my team, loved the names in Fee's team.
Patsy 14-05-2006, 08:30 PM Like the name of your team, Maz. :)
Patsy 15-05-2006, 10:45 AM Haydon! Haydon! Why are we still pending? Is there something you need to do? If so, please do it. I'm swinging in limbo and I don't like it.
Fee For All 15-05-2006, 10:48 AM I'm swinging in limbo
You're such a pendant, Patsy!:)
Patsy 15-05-2006, 10:51 AM Patsy the Pendulous Pending Pedant. Has a certain ring, don't you think? Maybe I'll change my team's name, if I ever get into the proper league.
gatubela 15-05-2006, 03:50 PM "You have good teams, and you will play well, but my team is better and we will win"
Jose "Gatubela" Maurinho
Watch out for Gatubela United!
mikado 15-05-2006, 04:35 PM "You have good teams, and you will play well, but my team is better and we will win"
Jose "Gatubela" Maurinho
Watch out for Gatubela United!
You got a filthy-rich Russian to buy up all the players for you?! :surrender:
I have entered my team but can't get on the league, when I go to private league it wants me to set one up. Help?
Patsy 15-05-2006, 05:56 PM When you go into private league, you should be faced with 2 boxes. In the second box, put in 86. This should take you to our league.
mazwad 15-05-2006, 06:27 PM Haydon can we have a name for our league as 86 is boring.
When you go into private league, you should be faced with 2 boxes. In the second box, put in 86. This should take you to our league.
No Patsy...when I do there it gives me a whole page of blurbge about starting up a league....I see no boxes, honest.
Patsy 15-05-2006, 08:06 PM Trouble is, I can't remember what options I took, without doing it all again.
Haydon, can you help please?
No Patsy...when I do there it gives me a whole page of blurbge about starting up a league....I see no boxes, honest.
I have just done mine, we'll have a look at work tomorrow
Woodstock 15-05-2006, 10:53 PM Haydon can we have a name for our league as 86 is boring.
'86 is fine - it was a wunderbar year made even more wunderbar by the Mexico '86 World Cup, right Hayd?....right! (still needs a couple of of words to precede the numbers though i think...perhaps Fantasy Forum '86...or maybe Give Davina the boot '86 - (Gareth Hale paid me handsomely to print that...)
The one-man Anti-Davina parade gains precious momentum even here on a World Cup thread!:wink2:
Haydon 16-05-2006, 08:01 AM ok we got 11 teams in our private league now!
I have to manually approve teams wanting to join our league, so sorry for the delay. You're no longer "pending".
There are some good prizes to be had - Xbox's, LCD TV's, PSP, MP3 players, shirts etc. So if you haven't signed up, do so now! It's free!
The name of our league is "SO World Cup Fantasy League" - 86 is just our unique number.
Fee For All 16-05-2006, 07:58 PM Where have the Dribbley Dozers gone?
Patsy 16-05-2006, 08:57 PM I swear they were there when I looked earlier.
Fee For All 16-05-2006, 09:34 PM D'you think we have a dope-testing scandal looming:unsure:
Patsy 17-05-2006, 08:58 AM Nah! She's just running scared. She's heard about Amelia's game plan.
Woodstock 31-05-2006, 07:58 AM Okay, I'm registered (not disabled or insane - though people would argue the latter i ought to be) and ready for action...
Woodstock's 'Only The Strong Survive' XI are made up of the following players...
GK ~ Gianluigi Buffon (Italia)
DEF ~ Alessandro Nesta (Italia)
DEF ~ Carles Puyol (Espana)
DEF ~ Jean-Alain Boumsong (France) (...aha!, there is a method to this particular piece of madness...i know he can't defend for toffee, but Thuram will help him along...if you see what i mean?...)
DEF ~ Lilian Thuram (France)
MID ~ Michael Ballack (Deutschland)
MID ~ Steven Gerrard (Angleterre)
MID ~ Frank Lampard ~ (Angleterre)
MID ~ Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
ATT ~ Ronaldo (Brasil...so you see, there ARE two Ronaldos after all!)
ATT ~ Adriano (Brasil)
...wot no Ronaldinho?
I wish you luck...:boxing:
Woodstock 31-05-2006, 09:24 AM 1st Place - Woodstock's 'Only The Strong Survive' XI :flex:
Solid throughout, strong spine (it would be a case of two strong spines if there was another keeper in goal alongside Buffon), stubborn at the back, devastating down the flanks, and merciless up front - couldn't be asking for more really! The one (and only) weak link in the team is Mr. Boumsong - but he'll be just fine in that French back four, and I'm just a wee bit worried that Ballack may not feature from the start. Aside form those minor concerns, O.T.S.S. must be strong favourites...even if i do say so myself!:yahoo:
2nd Place - Fat Loser's All Stars
A strong back four (five, even), except for perhaps Vidic, who may be part of a Serbia team that concedes a few against Argentina and Holland, but we'll see. Being a Manchester United fan I want to see him do well anyway. But then I could say the same for Gabriel Heinze of Argentina, and Ruud van Nistelrooy and Van der Sar of Holland really. Also possesses a strikeforce to be feared in Henry and Ronaldinho. It'll be a close battle between the All Stars and Mazwad's XI...for second place...of course.
3rd Place - Mazwad's Men O'Paws
I like what you're doing defensively, but I do have major concerns regarding the selection of Makelele and to an extent Boa Morte - the latter being a bit of a loose cannon, and the former just being a misfiring one. However, apart from those glaring weaknesses down the left, nobody should fu*k with your strike partnership of Tevez and Ronaldinho - awesome!
Wooden Spoon Award - a tightly-fought contest between 'Mars' Red Brigade' and 'H's Hopefuls'. Mars' Brigade look like a very strong XI - well, X actually, because I'm not too sure Abbiati will be favoured in goal over Buffon (in fact I'm not too sure Abbiati is even there), but I actually think this lot are still good enough to contest for Runners-Up spot, if that one particular issue is dealt with quickly.
As for H's bunch, I'm not too sure what's going on in the back four with regards to Ponzio, Rodriguez, and Gilberto, and I'm a wee bit concerned about your left flank with Kosowski - you obviously know something I don't about that lot. But, quite a strong selection in the main.
As for the rest, 'Cromer's Crabs' (...I hope they don't move like crabs) are keeping faith with the 'old guard' of Vieira and Zidane in midfield. It's a gamble but it may pay off, and also a shrewd selection of Milan Baros, who suddenly becomes a good player in tournaments like these.
Buzz has plumped for Lebo-Lebo - which has left me baffled, and has also opted for Rooney from the start, and therefore is obviously investing more hope in England's best hope than the majority of English folk. But van Nistelrooy will grab some goals for 'the Babes' and they have a fairly secure back four...apart form Lebo-Lebo.
'If You're Lucky' is a very strong XI, particularly at the back, and with an extremely potent pairing of Tevez and Torres up front - this lot may surprise...but it's good to see this manager has a sense of humour, demonstrated perfectly by the selection of Owen Hargreaves.
'Amber Gamblers' I'm a little bit concerned about, as they really look like a very effective lot. It's touch-and-go at to whether Barthez shall start but look at that fron pairing of Ronaldinho and Adriano...almost as good as my own pairing of Ronaldo and Adriano.
I think Fee has based her selections on the most humorous names she could possibly find (either that or she's ventured into the 'lucky dip') so I'm guessing that her participation in this league isn't quite as intense as my own - she's just having a wee bit of fun, something which is clearly evident in her choosing a player with the surname 'Scotland'- well done Fee!. I'm also liking 'Loco' and the wonderfully-named 'Yapi-Yapo', and 'captain Kaka' deserves a wee mention too.
'Not Good Enough For Scotland' may prove to be a force to be reckoned with too.
I don't know about you lot but I can't soddin' way for this World Cup to get started...
...good luck...and may the best annoying-poll creator win! :surrender:
Woodstock 06-06-2006, 08:33 AM SOmebody please wake up Haydon - i've got a team pending over at his Fantasy League desk...:whistling:
I think he may already have noticed but he's feeling a little bit :( at the thought of his lot being in the same company of such a fine selection of world-beaters...:yahoo:
Tigereye 07-06-2006, 10:16 AM I've picked me players and it now says pending on the board under woodstock - is this correct and do I have to do anything now?
Tigereye 07-06-2006, 10:26 AM ah fekkin hell - got some sort of a run-time error thingie and it all disappeared.
would haydon still have the details of tigereye's totty? H? Or do I do the whole thing again.....
Patsy 07-06-2006, 12:12 PM If Woodstock's still pending, I would guess that Haydon hasn't visited it for a while.
Gwan, you've got nothing better to do. :wink_kiss
Tigereye 07-06-2006, 02:15 PM thou knowest me too well.
Tried to re-enter the same team, but 'snot working.
Patsy 07-06-2006, 02:32 PM It's there. I can see it.
Won't win though.
Woodstock 08-06-2006, 01:00 AM It's there. I can see it.
Won't win though.
...and that's because mine will...or would have...or something...i don't know... (...I guess that particular fate rests with Haydon...hint bloody hint!)
I was thinking of naming my team 'Swine-off Sausage Face' after my second-favourite insult of all time, but I decided to stick with 'Only The strong Survive' as it almost strikes fear into the opposition...
...now...I wonder if he's un-pended my pending yet...:whistling:
Tigereye 08-06-2006, 09:32 AM It's there. I can see it.
Won't win though.
Hah - just looked at yours.
I have a few sneaky transfers in mind.
Patsy 08-06-2006, 10:57 AM Yeah, but, at least I don't smell. :kid:
Patsy 08-06-2006, 07:05 PM I'd like to make a team change, but it's asking me for a transfer code.
Woodstock 08-06-2006, 07:12 PM I'd like to make a team change, but it's asking me for a transfer code.
I just had a wee look at that myself Patsy and spotted the following instruction. I wish I could make transfers myself...but I'm still waiting to be granted entry into this dang league - I think Haydon's pretending to be on holiday or something just so my lot won't have an opportunity to wipe the floor with all who stand in their way...
The 'transfer code' you require to complete your transfers can be obtained from the Amazon.co.uk World Cup (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/16382581/ref=amb_right-2_53823191_1/203-1881997-9188707) store. This code will change each week so don't forget to check back for the latest code.
Patsy 09-06-2006, 08:20 AM Thanks for that. You wouldn't want to be changing Ballack, by any chance?
Haydon 09-06-2006, 08:32 AM Nobody called me did they?
New teams have now been accepted into the SO League.
Woodstock 09-06-2006, 07:47 PM Nobody called me did they?
New teams have now been accepted into the SO League.
Cheers Hayd :good:
...you won't and probably will regret it both at the same time...:surrender:
I made a couple of wee transfers prior to the big kick-off, ditching Boumsong and Thuram and now my defence looks overly-impressive even if i'm saying so myself...
Woodstock 09-06-2006, 07:55 PM Thanks for that. You wouldn't want to be changing Ballack, by any chance?
I think i did...well, i must have done 'cos he 'aint there now! (that's my memory for you!)
I'm now placing heaps of faith in an Anglo-Portugese midfield, an all-Brazilian attack, and a Mediterranean defence that's based both on stunningly good looks and great competence......with a fully-bald crazy basta*d in goal...
Andrea 09-06-2006, 09:35 PM Aww that's not fair.
I've got a goalie whose team won today by 4-2 but because he let in two goals I'm now -1:ranting:
Patsy 10-06-2006, 10:02 AM Right. I'm ready. One minor (actually, probably quite major) adjustment and we're off. :applause:
Woodstock 10-06-2006, 02:13 PM Right. I'm ready. One minor (actually, probably quite major) adjustment and we're off. :applause:
I just took it up on myself to have a wee nosey at your team and i have to confess they're causing me not quite but almost major concerns - very strong line-up!, and the strike pair of Ronaldinho and Henry is probably the strike pair i would have chosen if i hadn't plumped for Adriano and Ronaldo.
You'll push me close...
Woodstock 10-06-2006, 02:21 PM ...i'm also a tad...but only a tad concerned about Mars' lot - although i have spotted just the one weak link in his line-up, and that ultimately might cost him...so i'm hoping he keeps faith with Gonzalez in his midfield...:yahoo:
Haydon 15-06-2006, 08:28 AM I don't like this game.
Patsy 15-06-2006, 08:31 AM I just took it up on myself to have a wee nosey at your team and i have to confess they're causing me not quite but almost major concerns - very strong line-up!, and the strike pair of Ronaldinho and Henry is probably the strike pair i would have chosen if i hadn't plumped for Adriano and Ronaldo.
You'll push me close...
I shall be making some adjustments in the second phase. Be afraid........ be very afraid.
Mwahahahaaaaaa............
Patsy 15-06-2006, 08:55 AM I don't like this game.
Cheer up H. You're going to get at least 3 points tonight.
mikado 15-06-2006, 09:54 AM ...if i hadn't plumped for Adriano and Ronaldo.
"Plump" being the operative word for Big R :)
I'm beginning to doubt my strategy of picking players who don't actually appear for their country. A few of my no-shows need to be fired.
Patsy 15-06-2006, 06:15 PM I'm confused. How come Haydon has got 6 points for Rio Ferdinand for 2 clean sheets, when today's results haven't even been updated yet?
Am I winning this?
Patsy 15-06-2006, 07:33 PM Have you even bothered to look?
Patsy 15-06-2006, 07:37 PM I'm confused. How come Haydon has got 6 points for Rio Ferdinand for 2 clean sheets, when today's results haven't even been updated yet?
Now it's updated my Terry points, but hasn't given me anything for Gerrard. What's going on?
Have you even bothered to look?
Yes, I had a quick look, long enough to see you are at the top:sleepy:
Patsy 15-06-2006, 08:56 PM Oh, I see. Playing the old "I'll pretend I didn't really care about winning in the first place and find it all boring" game, are we?
Oh, I see. Playing the old "I'll pretend I didn't really care about winning in the first place and find it all boring" game, are we?
Moi?? play a game?? I am no good at games...
Woodstock 17-06-2006, 10:35 AM "Plump" being the operative word for Big R :)
Absolutely! :applause: ...and what a disgrace he was too!
Samba-dee take him off, quickly!
Woodstock 17-06-2006, 10:38 AM Now it's updated my Terry points, but hasn't given me anything for Gerrard. What's going on?
Now I've got my internet connection back (no excuses, but a two day absence may have cost me big time!:evilmad: ) i'll see if i can make some sense of the points lark...
Woodstock 17-06-2006, 03:04 PM I'm taking back a couple of the transfers i made... :wallbash:
...what do you mean i can't?...
...but they were useless...rank!...flippin' waste of time!...:pooh:
...I want my Adriano and Ronaldo back...they'll be back in tomorrow that's for sure!...:boxing:
Patsy 17-06-2006, 05:11 PM Oh, oh dear oh dear oh dear Woody. One of your new signings has just given away a penalty and been sent off.
Did you go to the Patricia Routledge school of football management?
:naughty:
Woodstock 17-06-2006, 06:46 PM :wallbash: Oh, oh dear oh dear oh dear Woody. One of your new signings has just given away a penalty and been sent off.
Did you go to the Patricia Routledge school of football management?
:naughty:
ah, you've cast the dreadful news that i was about to...
Words escape me...they really do - perhaps the most cursed set of transfers i've ever made for a fantasy football team...and there has been plenty (of cursed transfers) beside the ones for this particular team!
I guess the sending-off means i've gone backwards rather than forwards now doesn't it?
Flippin' Ujfalusi! - who in their right mind would have picked Ujfalusi??
...temporary blip...that's all it was...yeah...temporary blip...and there's still Luca Toni to help put things right again...:good:
...I almost enrolled myself into the Patricia Routledge School of Football Management but I opted instead for Richard Wilson's own classes instead...and on the face of my disastrous treansfer dealings, i feel i am now fully qualifed to utter with great dispondency...
"...I just don't BELIEVE it!":wallbash:
Woodstock 23-06-2006, 04:29 PM Spain rested their entire first choice eleven this afternoon as they took on mighty Saudi Arabia...well oil be damned! :ninja:
What a real kick in the teeth that has proved to be as not only did i have soddin' Torres in my SO fantasy team (he was in there to score at least three against the Saudis), but i also had Puyol in there to keep a clean one for me and clock up a few additional points.:wallbash:
This is by no means the worst of it - i have many other fantasy teams in other competitions (large cash prizes) with almost half of the Spanish first team selected.
I give up, i really do. :surrender: Are these World Cup coaches not aware there is an important fantasy football competition taking place??.
It's mighty inconsiderate.:mad2:
Patsy 23-06-2006, 04:46 PM And here's us slogging our guts out in the name of good competition, jumping around like billy-o and the ones above us are probably blissfully unaware that they are - above us that is.
I don't like this game any more.
Woodstock 23-06-2006, 04:50 PM I don't like this game any more.
...no, i'm losing faith too.:rain:...until the Second Round :bye:
Andrea 24-06-2006, 11:38 PM I think I may have to go and change some players.
Haydon 27-06-2006, 11:09 AM I've given up.
Patsy 27-06-2006, 11:12 AM Whitebait.
Tigereye 27-06-2006, 02:55 PM I'd love to change some players but don't have a clue who to go for. Still only allowed 2 from each country right?
how do you see how you're doing in the SO league - I know I'm about 10,000 th in the overall thingie.
Anyone any suggestions?
Fee For All 27-06-2006, 03:02 PM Click on My Team, Click on Private League (grey box under the pitch)
You'll see me there on the bottom :w00t:
I don't know who plays who anymore - is it just the top ones from each group that go through?
Patsy 27-06-2006, 03:08 PM Click on Fixtures on the left hand side.
The next Germany match is the first one in the next phase, when you will be given another 4 transfers.
Bella 27-06-2006, 03:09 PM Better late than never but I have set up a team, couldn't have the players I would have liked from Sweden or Holland now they are out but never mind!
Fee For All 27-06-2006, 03:14 PM Click on Fixtures on the left hand side.
The next Germany match is the first one in the next phase, when you will be given another 4 transfers.
Yes, but no but...
How do you know who is going through? Or is likely to go through? Are they all playing each other?
Tigereye 27-06-2006, 03:39 PM sorry to be thick but with my four transfers I have available do I just dump the players that have gone and pick four new ones, and is it still only two players allowed from each country?
Patsy 27-06-2006, 04:54 PM Yes and yes. :bye:
Patsy 27-06-2006, 05:00 PM Yes, but no but...
How do you know who is going through? Or is likely to go through? Are they all playing each other?
They are still playing 2nd round matches, but the quarter finals start on Friday. If you click on the Fixtures button on the left hand side it tells you who has played and who is due to play.
Patsy 27-06-2006, 07:50 PM Looks like Sherlock and I are both guilty of not reading the transfer rules properly.
Take care, chaps. From what I can make out, you have 12 transfers altogether. You can make up to 8 in the first round, up to 4 in the second and up to 4 thereafter. We've blown all of ours now, so fill your boots folks! :wallbash: :wallbash:
Patsy 27-06-2006, 08:50 PM Now I've done my pants in this league, I really want to sit back and enjoy the football.
Tonight's match between Spain and France made me realise that I had been wanting teams to win for the wrong reasons.
I have two Spanish forwards in my team, but in RL would have supported France.
France have just won and I'm really, really pleased. For the right reasons.
Vive la France!!!! :w00t: :good:
Does anyone know how I am getting on at all?:bag:
Patsy 27-06-2006, 08:57 PM Well, you're not last.
Well that's nice...
Am I first then?
I don't suppose I am
Patsy 27-06-2006, 09:23 PM Lets put it like this. One of us is and the other one's called Buzz.
Are we clear now?
Lets put it like this. One of us is and the other one's called Buzz.

Right so, I am not last, but I am not first either....
am i somewhere in the middle then, and would that be topish middle or bottomish middle?
I could look myself, but this is much more fun.
Andrea 27-06-2006, 09:53 PM How do you know who is going through? Or is likely to go through? Are they all playing each other?
You mean to say you don't have your world cup wallchart to hand!:w00t:
I've made my changes and look out cause the points are all coming my way!
Fee For All 27-06-2006, 10:36 PM I haven't a clue Andrea!:w00t:
Are England still in?
Woodstock 27-06-2006, 10:52 PM Now I've done my pants in this league, I really want to sit back and enjoy the football.
Tonight's match between Spain and France made me realise that I had been wanting teams to win for the wrong reasons.
I have two Spanish forwards in my team, but in RL would have supported France.
 ...i think i can relate to that Pat. However, i really did want the ol' Spaniards to put one over the French tonight (regardless of fantasy allegiances). But my first natural response to the final whistle in most of these games has been to jump on the pc and check out if i'm beating your score:sly: ...when i should really have been reflecting on 'what a thoroughly fabulous game of football that was' etc. etc.
...right...i'm off now...to check if i'm beating your score...:good:
Patsy 28-06-2006, 08:07 AM Right so, I am not last, but I am not first either....

The second option. And very close to it.
Patsy 28-06-2006, 08:09 AM ...right...i'm off now...to check if i'm beating your score...:good:
 Don't do it to yourself!
I can us both sinking rapidly from now on.

 ...i did it to myself...and yes, you are right...but only one of us has sunk rapidly...so what happened to you?? :(
Patsy 28-06-2006, 04:11 PM I don't think I'll be far behind you! :(
