View Full Version : Day 1 in the Big Brother house...
So, what's your plan for this evening?
Nibbles? Party? Watching through fingers at the horror of the housemates?
Me? I think I'll be taking a break from revision with a takeaway to welcome my new friends into my life. :applause:

Me? I think I'll be taking a break from revision with a takeaway to welcome my new friends into my life. :applause:
I hope you have a strong stomach - Imogen is the only 'normal' one lol.
Indian or Chinese?
I am up early to cram in a couple of hours of revision now before work, then will go to the gym after work, get tea then revise till 8.45 on the dot. Then I will make myself comfortable with my new notepad and sharpened pencil and like you Mars open my door and welcome new friends.
Oh happy days, my life is complete once more.
:applause: :applause:
Bonsai 18-05-2006, 08:17 AM I always look forward to the arrival of the new housemates ... and was looking forward to curling up on the sofa with a bottle of wine.
BUT tonight is pub night - and i have a responsibility to see my mates on said pub night. But i am recording it, and i hope to get home to watch it before beddy bee byes.
Patsy 18-05-2006, 08:27 AM I shall be banished to watch it in the bedroom.
bridge 18-05-2006, 08:28 AM Hubby hates the show, thinks it's a load of rubbish ,so i will probably be sitting on my lonesome watching it, put the kids to bed at 8-30, get myself a big bar of chocolate, an extra large glass of wine, put me feet up and ......................Enjoy the sights :applause: I can't wait.
bridge 18-05-2006, 08:29 AM I shall be banished to watch it in the bedroom.
Why Pats is hubby not a fan either?
Bonsai 18-05-2006, 08:45 AM Blimey Pats.
Mr.B hates it too, but last night i sat and watched the footy with him, and i will have to endure the World Cup. So in return I get to watch BB on the main TV in a comfy lounge chair.
Critique 18-05-2006, 09:11 AM Now I've got this plug-in thingy I shall watch it on the computer with my earphones so I can savour every moment without comment from "himself".
Of course, if he dozes off I shall watch it on the big screen :applause:
Patsy 18-05-2006, 10:11 AM Why Pats is hubby not a fan either?
No, he hates it and particularly despises Davina. He will probably pick up bits and bobs along the way, but the first programme will be an absolute no-no. I will be much happier watching it without his constant shouting at the telly.
Dolores 18-05-2006, 11:33 AM I shall be there at 9pm promptly with my pen and notepad by my side to write my comments on!!!
I will probably turn the sound down as i can't bear all the screaming, wailing and general off the scale level of excitement ... and that's just Davina!
The very minute it is over i shall come on here and share my thoughts then i shall retire to my bedroom for the biggest change of all this year .... I've got a freeview box in my bedroom and so will be watching the 24/7 coverage on E4!!!!
Can't wait! Am I officially the saddest 43 year old on the planet!!! (not that I care one jot!).
On a minus side I've lost my mobile phone so wont be able to text maxine and my friend jackie with my up to the minute text reporting!!! (i'm sure they will breathe a sigh of relief at not being interrrupted!).
Sadly there will be no-one as watchable as Victor ... tell us your story again Cat! go on, go on, go on, go on, go on!!!
bridge 18-05-2006, 03:26 PM No, he hates it and particularly despises Davina. He will probably pick up bits and bobs along the way, but the first programme will be an absolute no-no. I will be much happier watching it without his constant shouting at the telly.
It look's like all our Hubbys hate Big Brother. SHAME.
mazwad 18-05-2006, 03:38 PM Add Mr M to the husbands who hate it but seem to know what is going on. At least he goes to bed early so I will get to watch some of the later stuff in peace.
I read today that the kit kat winner will be going in on June 9th and I'm gutted as I set off on my holidays the same day. Mr M will also miss the first rounds of the world cup, not a well planned holiday.
Me and the bump will be watching although I'm going to turn the theme tune down when it starts as I don't want my child to associate BB with anything when he gets out
Patsy 18-05-2006, 07:00 PM Me and the bump will be watching although I'm going to turn the theme tune down when it starts as I don't want my child to associate BB with anything when he gets out
He. Did you say he?
maxine 19-05-2006, 07:30 AM IThe very minute it is over i shall come on here and share my thoughts
Not much to share then?
maxine 19-05-2006, 07:31 AM On a minus side I've lost my mobile phone
Ooops I forgot this. Wonder who read my 'A bunch of tw@ts so far...' message.
Andrea 19-05-2006, 11:51 PM Well I didn't really see last nights program, but watched tonignt, and to be honest, I think it was better watching tonight seeing them go in. No Davina with the little quips about the HM lives, none of the screaming/booing from the crowd, and then swiftly onto the nights events.
Hubby was soon getting into it as well, (he had to let me watch it cause I'd let him go bait digging earlier:laugh: ) shouting all sorts of obscenities at the tv!
I think I've got him hooked already!
