Oh, are the flags for the World Cup - I thought they were a warning to other motorists of prat-at-wheel.

Ooops I voted nothing and then remembered buying those stickers for my grandsons football album.

I can't believe that at least 5 blokes at work are collecting them too and doing swaps. Men they just never grow up do they, can you imagine grown women collecting stickers to shove in a book that, after it is all over, will be clogging up a drawer somewhere.

My son's got a blow up hand and England hat courtesy of the thread started. I'm not a fan of the England car flags.

I have got the boys england t shirts, and although have ticked flag for front room window it's actually for the boys bedroom window....

I also notice Dolores, you haven't voted in your own poll...get on with it.

I want to know who's bought the car flags!

A rogue one blew onto my car today - I was not amused :glare: Fortunately I was just trundling back from the supermarket, but the thought of getting a wet flag stuck to the windscreen on the motorway is a bit worrying.

i've done it now Buzz!!

I haven't got the mini England kit for the car window or the flags for the car yet ... but I fully intend to! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/26/26_8_15.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYAXGB)

My son also bought himself a rather nice baseball cap yesterday.

...neither of us are football fans? are we jumping on a bandwagon I ask myself?!!! :whistling: (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYAXGB)

I have a real dislike of flags on cars / houses.

It wouldnt be so bad if people took them down when the football finished - but no .... they stay there, turning grey and looking manky. It was the same with those blummin comic relief red nose car thingies.

Hate em.

...I want a Brazil shirt...always have. I bought myself a huuuuge England flag in the weeks leading up to Euro 2004, which is still resting unhappily in its box. If i can get out of lazy mode i might just tack it onto me wall sometime soon. Then, when we lose to Paraguay, i'll take it back down. For the exercise if nothing else.

Question: What do you do if you're the England boss and your star striker is all but ruled out of the World Cup?

Answer: Ignore Jermain Defoe and bring along Owen Hargreaves instead.

...master stroke Sven. (at least we'll have the crockery merchandise to take our sorrows out on)

I already have a big flag...a left over from the Rugby World Cup!

Anyway...I heard on Radio 2 today that a Matalan store in Scotland returned a big box of England stuff because they didn't want to offend the natives and thought that none of it would sale anyway! A English woman, who now lives in Inverness, called the store to enquire about the purchase of England shirts for her two sons and was told this! The store did say it had a supply of every other countries shirts if she was interested in those! :bored:

My husband drove home last night down the A12, and he was bored - so he counted how many flag he saw lying on the grass verge that had obviously blown off cars. He counted 46. That didnt include the central reservation or flags that had blown beyond the verge.

Ridiculous and dangerous.

My house...........It took 3 days ya know

I've got myself a tattoo of the cross of St George. I've had added "WC 2006" thro' it. Classy huh?

I'm thinking of having piercings to the top of my ears so that I can insert stickie up poles to put flags on. Do you think that would be a bit much what with my hair dyed in the form of the Cross of St George?

Hmm. Might be a bit de trop.

But if you had the nips and John Thomas done, you could probably rig up a full size flag. With the added advantage of it raising itself whenever Rooney appears.

I'm a "Nothing at all" - not being a miserable old git but I'm just not interested, won't be watching any of it so can't be bothered.

I notice I'm not alone, so who else voted "Nothing at all"? :D

I voted nothing at all, but I will certainly be following the competition.

I just don't feel the need to line the coffers of the people who create all this cheap rubbish.

The kids haven't expressed any desire for any of it either, not even a shirt, which is unusual. I don't mind getting them something like that, because it lasts a couple of years.

If I was actually going to be at a match, I might make the odd purchase, but as I'm not, I shan't.

What a star you are :applause:

Hadn't even thought of using those piercings for that. Although I think I'll reserve that arrangement for when we are in the final. Modesty and all that...
