Is it just my imagination or does hair seem to grow faster when it's short?
Anyway, my hair is growing back nicely after my razor disaster.
Although I did get a good ribbing from everyone at uni (classmates, lecturers and patients!) not to mention my family.
My girlfriend was less than impressed too.

At least it's growing back and doesn't look half as bad as it did!
Still no photos though...

Mr M, who is balding slightly (no comments please Dolores) has what hair he does have cut on whatever number is the shortest and has to have it done every fortnight or it starts to look geeky (his word not mine). It's just the shorter it is the more noticeable any growth is.

I'm sure you look divine PJ.

Good to hear that PJ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/ilovesurvivor/smilies/biggrin.gif

But I am sure you looked lovely anyway, even with very short hair http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/ilovesurvivor/smilies/wub.gif

Sometimes I am tempted to shave all my hair off.

Its naturally curly and going quite grey now so have to colour regularly. I had it cut short at easter and now I'm in the growing out faze so I can leave it in a curly bob again. I have to put it in miniscule bunches to hide the ear muffs.

A couple of years ago I had my head more or less shaved (number 2) and what was left I had bleached -I thought it looked great and I'd love to have it done again.
My husband of the time was furious!

I has my nose pierced the same day and hadn't told him I was getting either done - he wasn't impressed!
I blamed it on my medication !

Peej - I love a shaven head - if only to feel. I love the feeling of tinglyness on your hand when you have rubbed a shaven head many times!!!:p

I had a hair cut disaster too - only last week. My hairdresser is a bossymare [he is a he btw] - and is desperate to cut it short, and each time I go he cuts it a little shorter. Which in theory I don't mind - but in reality I need to tie it up for bad hair days - but he cut it too short last week and I look like someone from the 1920's with a [i]too short bob!!:(

my hair is short but I am trying to grow the layers out, so being curly it whoops up over the ears creating the image of wings/ear muffs/adjasent to the head platforms..that flap independantly from the rest of the hair.

So to try and counteract this, I am straining the little hair there is, we are talking about 4 inches in length from folicle to end, into tiny mushroom size bunches, with little thin bands, just behind each ear.

See it now? Hopefully will only have to do this for a month or so untill can join in one icky bitty pony tail...and then take it from there.

I rejoice in hats a lot too at the moment. My hair is not at its best.

I have a glorious picture in my mind. Thank you :D

I too have curly hair and I learnt never to have it short after my morrisey cut turned into a lea sayer on a wet winters afternoon :(

Oh what I would give for Leo Sayers length on a drizzly day...I'm more Ena Sharples.

If I can get it another 6 inches it lies in a cork screw bob...it just getting it there......god I am going to be so ridiculed over the next 6 months...

I love my cyber friendsxxxxx

My ideal length is just before it hits my shoulders, then it grows into a triangle.

At present I'm resembling Lemmy from Motorhead cos I havent been to the sheep shearers for weeks.

Why does curly hair always make you look like an 80s throwback?

I love my cyberfriends too, both of them.

Thats exactly what mine does....!! If I grow it one length all over, with a dead straight cut (alot of hairdressers find this hard....straight, no point or slant...straight...DO YOU HEAR).... I wash it and leave it to dry, then wet it down, bend over and hand scrunch. Leave to dry, damp....bend over and hand scrunch....repeat..until perfect cork screw...can take a few hours. But at least no bloody hairdryers and f'ing straightners that I am using every day now.

I was meant to quote floopy frizzy friend above...not myself.

Frizz Sisters of the World Unite :D

The onyl way to deal with mine is to smother it in mousse, then separate each curl by hand, then dry it really slowly. No hairdresser in the world has ever managed to dry my hair properly, they end up having to blow dry it straight, or I end up with some bizarre Diana Ross stylee afro thang going on and have to run to the house with a tesco bag over my head to repair the damage.

OOOOH noooo!

I like to run my fingers through hair...a la Van Halen era.

Mind you, I'd run my fingers through Dave Gilmour's hair no matter how short it was !

My hair is long and terninally strainght..I once has a Farrah Fawcett cut but didnt need any Red Bull to give me wings..disaster big time.
I'm also going grey, not a nice scattered all over salt and pepper grey, just a big fat stripe...like a skunk.

M :(

I've been trying to think of nice things to say about skunks but erm....

sorry skunky :D

No skunks are pretty cool - I had a friend at school [primary] called Elaine who was half Chinese - and her whole female family including Elaine at the tender age of 5 had a grey/white skunk streak right through their hair line - so blinkin cool!!!!

I am at the opposite end of the specturm when it comes to sprial, curly, goddesses with Titian locks!! I hate you all!!:ranting:

I have poker straight hair that reacts to nothing on earth to make it curly - no carmens, velcro rollers, half a ton of setting gel/mousse along with aforesaid devices will curl my hair - no not even a 20,000 volt bath will curl my hair - I am resigned to looking like a mix of Pippylongstocking and Olive from On the buses as far as hair goes!!!:(

What I would do to have straight hair. In my opinion, any straight hair is better than frizzy curly.

Fight you for it... :ranting:

I dunno, I kinda like mine when it behaves itself, but mostly it's just odd.

Am hoping that Gigi has curly hair though, cos that'll be really cute and I know how to handle it, unlike my evil parents who thought combing curly hair with a feckin wire comb was a fair and just thing to do to a child.

Grr
