I received a text from Mama Coastie last night around 2230 (what she was doing out so late I have no idea..tut, tut) anyway, she arrived home to find the Police outside the house and a bit of a commotion in the street...the men of the houses either side of mum had come to blows...two were carted off to hospital the other two to jail...

Mama Coastie has been living between two alpha male types for around ten years now...one an ex-navy officer the other a former army colour sergant. Navy guy very loud and loves himself alot, Army guy alot more reserved. They took an instant dislike to each other and have disagreed over a few things over the years but it has always been at arms length and never heated...the wives would get along fine but for the men and have enjoyed a few social events in Mama Coasties home all together.

Back to point...Navy guy has a son who is much like him...loud mouthed and very, very cocky...likewise Army guy has a son who is much quieter and more pleasant to be around..they are about the same age and have had a small row before but Army son walked away.

Anyway...I don't have the full details yet...but think the heat may have had something to do with it...it looks like the tension between the two families came to a head last night...I'm betting the Navy son past a comment to Army son and that started a row that attracted the attention of the dads which spilled over into a fight between the lads and the dads then leaping in...:boxing:

Well the upshot of it is...Navy won in that Army ended up in hospital but Navy wound up in jail!

All very exciting since nothing like that ever happens down Mama Coasties street...it's normally so quiet!

I hope the Navy son gets done for something although I would like his dad to get off (he would have run a mile if his son hadn't kicked off...all mouth no trousers that one) and for Army dad and son to get away with the lot...cos I just know the arrogant little :pooh: of a navy son started it...I'm sure of it..and I don't particualrly like him...

It was the little Navy (well he's in his early 20's) :pooh: who started it it..I knew it...but it was his dad that stuck the boot in on Army dads head :shocking:

It all started between the sons and the dads stepped in and what triggered it in the first place was PARKING! Yes the fact that Navy :pooh: couldn't park and some how found Army lad responsible even though the reason is ruddy yachties who naff off for weeks at a time abandonning their vehicles in Mama Coasties street! :bored:

I bet there was many a twitching curtain there Coastie. My road is very quiet except for a woman a couple of doors down who shouts obscenities out in the garden during the summer months, fascinates my grandchildren they have learned a lot.

The last time there was an event as big as this in the street was when the neighbours from hell moved in next door to Mama Coastie and effected the whole neighbourhood in the space of six months because of their 4 hectic kids and baby (all below the age of 13) and the father who mentally abused the kids with foul and obsene language that could be heard through the wall as he shouted and growled it at them...we had a huge neighbourhood party/BBQ in Mama Coasties garden, where everyone got completely ratted, on the day they left! :applause:

Trouble is they were all sober Andrea...it's just Navy son is a complete tozer...

Anyway...Amry family were thinking of moving as they don't want to live in a street with that kind of vibe...shame as they are really nice and have been wonderful to Mama Coastie...

Anyway...it could take up to a year for the thing to go to court (Army are pressing charges) and it looks like they are going to stick it out.

The Army son had his tires slashed a while back and they are fairly convinced that was Navy son since no other tires were slashed in the street and they have had words in the past although Army son has always ignored the antagonistic Navy son before now.

Ooo Coastie you will have to keep us all up to date on this one.

Nothing can be as exciting as a bit of news in your own street.
