View Full Version : The Song Tapper!
Andrea 30-07-2006, 01:28 PM Have a song in your head and you can't remember what it's called.
Just visit the song tapper (http://www.songtapper.com/s/tappingmain.bin), tap in the tune with your space bar, and voila, the name of the song appears! (Well sometimes it does:laugh: )
I just did U2, 'In the name of Love' and it was top of the list.
How cool is that!
bridge 30-07-2006, 04:04 PM It did'nt pick up mine i tapped in Father to Son by Boyzone and nothing.........
Fee For All 30-07-2006, 05:00 PM Oh, it's a discerning site as well :w00t:
Critique 30-07-2006, 10:23 PM That's brilliant. It got 6 out of the 7 I tapped in and the 7th was a bit obscure. Very clever, thanks for sharing Andrea.
Tigereye 31-07-2006, 11:32 AM cool site andrea!!
got 5 out of 6 for me - including Eidelweiss from sound of music..
Patsy 31-07-2006, 12:26 PM Only got one out of five for me. It won't stop me using it though!
Fee For All 31-07-2006, 03:42 PM It got Paint It Black spot on, but The Beatles 'Here, There and Everywhere' came up as Camel Toe by FannyPack. Quite fitting as I've just driven along the seafront and my God, there are some sights down here on holiday at the moment
Edited to ask - Does anyone else want to tap Geoff Peter's face with a mallet?
Patsy 31-07-2006, 03:48 PM I sometimes play this game with my kids. They either clap out the rhythm, or, if we're in the car, tap on the back of the seat. Great minds..........
mazwad 31-07-2006, 05:53 PM Only 2 out of 6 for me but then again my rhythm leaves a lot to be desired.
Coastie 01-08-2006, 09:45 AM I started off with an easy one...Happy Birthday to you...and it picked it...
I then moved on to Stealers Wheel and Stuck in the Middle with you aka music to cut ears off by...it didn't know that one!
Patsy 01-08-2006, 01:29 PM I tried Lori Anderson's "Oh Superman" and it was stumped.
Andrea 01-08-2006, 10:12 PM But isn't everything stumped by you, Patsy!:) :ninja:
Patsy 07-08-2006, 10:02 PM Just saw this, you cheeky Norfolk mare.
Can I help it if I'm so enigmatic? :sun:
Groucho 08-08-2006, 06:52 AM I tried Lori Anderson's "Oh Superman" and it was stumped.
It clearly has a sh*t filter as well!
floopy 08-08-2006, 08:13 AM It didn't get California Dreaming either :sly:
Groucho 08-08-2006, 08:20 AM Are you sure you were tapping in time?
Do you know much about music?
floopy 08-08-2006, 08:21 AM This from the man whose sole public performance was Firestarter :bye:
Patsy 08-08-2006, 08:21 AM It also didn't get the song that I heard Ronan Keating murdering on the radio last night.
It's in 3/4 time and some of the lyrics go "and I don't think you know who I am"........
It's a man's voice, starts off quite low and quiet, then he changes octave and gets louder. Lovely song.
Patsy 08-08-2006, 04:37 PM I know you've all been racking your brains, but I've now found out the name of the song. It's "Iris" by the Googoo Dolls.
msgirl 09-08-2006, 04:20 AM that's one of my ALLTIME fave songs...I've got it on a CD to be played at my funeral, along with the bagpipe version of 'Amazing Grace'...unless I can find another haunting tune on the bagpipes:unsure:. I have about 8 songs so it will be more concert than funeral. And my brothers companion will be giving my eulogy instead of a 'man of God' or funeral director...not that I plan on kickin' off real soon! :sun:
floopy 09-08-2006, 07:07 AM Msg, have you ever heard the bagpipes? I mean really heard them in close poximity, rather than floating over the mists from a long-distant castle's battlements?
Fecking god-awful racket they make.
