Just in case any of us end up in someone else's neck of the woods, this might come in handy.
I'll start.....

Auld Dubliner (the)

In the heart of Dublin city.Always thronged, and bursting at the seams.I am not sure if it even has furniture because I have
only ever seen people standing up.Don't be in a hurry for yer pint!

You know, i would love to come to Dublin. I have many friends who have been - and they love it.

I dont know if i could ever go though. Its costly - and i doubt Mr.B would want to visit. He isnt particularly adventurous.

..Bleedin' Horse (the)

This is a great literary pub...some of the great writers used to hang out here.
It's over 300 years old. (and looks it... )

Well...Dublin CAN be affordable if you know where to eat and drink and where to stay.A lot of the restaurants do 'early bird specials' which are great value..and the theatres also do early birds too.And if you go to the cinema before 6:00pm it is much cheaper.
And if you get a pub with a good seisiún (music) then you are sorted.

I assume these pubs don't have to be in Dublin!?

Clarence (The), Rusholme, Manchester

Perfect post-curry pub in the curry mile. Serves all usual beers and has a pool table and karaoke!
