Well, it was for 2 days!! What a house this was, it was set in the Ayrshire country-side and we could even see over to Arran! Mr B, me, the girls, my brother-in-law, his girlfriend and her two boys had the run of the place. I just wonder what the original owner would have thought about us eating a Chinese Take-away in his huge dining room on his walnut oak table!!
This house was amazing and it was great for playing hide & seek!

Yeah, we are used to rather more substansial surroundings, it was a bit poky!
It was Auchinleck House, near Mauchline and Cumnock. We went to Louden Castle Theme Park for the day, it should be renamed Chav City!!
You can rent these houses out(they have them all over the country), so for things like New Year or a get together....**next SO meeting** it's not cheap though as for a week in July/August it's about £2500/£3000 but as brother in law's g/friend works for the Trust she got it free, so I think he may well stay with this one for a bit longer than the other ones he has picked up!:ninja:

Yes, it was Landmark Trust, they have loads of house in the UK and in Europe too - my brother in law has already got his sights on where he wants to go next year!:laugh:
