I mean come on, Little Britain has got to be THE best programme at the moment. Just watched the new series on BBC 3 and thought it was brilliant!!
What do you guys think?

Loved series one, but thought the second one fell well short of the brilliance of the first. The upped the gross factor and lost the sharp wit. Shame really.

I agree Voicey, it was a shame they chose to do that. I tried to get Little Britain tour tickets on saturday and theyd sold out within 25 minutes from nearly everywhere ... boo.

Hogan so cute - you little Koala you - I adore Little Britain. I love it because it is hysterically funny - and it is the one programme me and my 14 year old can sit together and guffaw at, i.e. it is a bonding session for us both - and I adore it!!

And David Walliams is fit beyond belief!!!! Phew!!!

Love Little Britain too, second series very near the knuckle I can see why they had to redo some scenes for BBC2 though.

Loving Sebastian and Vicki

Little Britian is very funny, especially because one of the guys works with Joe Pasquale!! JOE
Vicky Pollard is defiantly the funniest sketch!

Little Britain is one of the funny shows on the box right now. I just hope it doesn't go right downhill like Bo Selecta did.

I love Lou and Andy in Little Britain and Vicky Pollard is superb.

Did anyone see the interview afterwards with Jonathan Ross? I know that its edited but I found it uncomfortable viewing with Wossy being extremely bitchy, a bit sharp, not funny in the least and David Walliams and Matt Lucas reduced to just staring at him rather confused ....

Someone really ought to teach Wossy the art of interviewing - ie. allow your guests to speak and keep your trap shut.

I find Walliams an offensive pratt and his standard "look down yer nose" drag queen act is boring.

Its a bit like the Fast Show - the odd good sketch amid lots of crap ones. Sorry but its just not as funny as folks are making it out to be (ie the BBC) -

I bet Ricky Gervais hates it

The second series is SOOOOO much better than the first - not an unfunny sketch to be seen.

Was a bit disturbed to see they'd edited the bit where the old dear says, "What that boy needs is a nice bit of cock" to say "a nice bit of bum!"

And yes, David Walliams is sexy. And no, not even in a strange way, just in a sexy way.

Did anyone see the germ of this act years ago on cable channel Play UK (1999) with Jamie Theakston. (I think BBC2 may have aired it recently). It was called ROCK PROFILE in which Jamie would play the hapless pan-faced interviewer conducting spoof interviews. The ones I remember were with "Kylie (Walliams) & Danni (Lucas)", and, "Gary Barlow (Lucas) & Howard Donald (Lucas)" - Howard Donald was the one with the dreadlocks in case u were wondering. It was so hilarious. Kyles and Danni were shown in their full sibling rivalry and Barlow and Donald as bitter old has-beens.

The series must be kicking around somewhere on DVD hopefully (probably with the Little Britain DVD???) I'm surprised it took so long for Lucas' and Walliams double-act to be recognised. Although I had always thought Lucas role as George Daws in Shooting Stars to be the most unfunniest waste of time on TV (but then he was keeping company with Vic Reeves so no surprise) - this redeemed him absolutely. Also, Jamie Theakston, acting as a foil for duo, didn't look too bad in it either. Probably his best performance to date.

Noni, David and Matt were on Radio Four for two years doing Little Britain, then they did Rock Profiles then Little Britain TV series, so theyve been around for ages.

My favourite rock profile was Elton John who kept sayin, "my partner, David Furnish......."

helooooooooo

ok so the guy in the wheelchair says he wants something, lanky boy says are you sure and then he says he does not want it. Funny the first/second time but again and again?

no, lazy

No character could you ever feel for - it could not lace early doors boots - its the fast show all over again

I'm a lady? - yes yes your a lady - haha

 he is of the 3 bob note variety If by that you are insinuating he is homosexual, he isnt. Matt Lucas is gay but David Walliams is quite the ladies man. I saw him in Oxford Circus not long ago, with a young woman and they were all over each other... bit yukky actually.

I love Little Britain - my faves are Vicky, the one who runs the fat club and Lou and Andy of course.

I remember seeing Matt Williams in what i think was his very first show on tv when I was about 14/15 it was called Games World on sky one hosted by a guy called Big Boy Barry and featured Jet from Gladiators as the games mistress.

Anyways Matt played this kind of strange geeky guy, but i remember finding him strangly attractive even back then and you could see also how funny he was even then...when i saw Little Britain i knew it was th same guy..

Does anyone remember this show - it was fantastic, they review games but it had real sarcastic wierd humour the whole way through

Does anyone else remember the show??? It was class!!

I've tried to like this program, really I have. My son thinks it's hysterical and I want to like it but - no - sorry - just not my type of humour. I'm broadminded and hardly anything offends me but some of this was cringe-making (the breast feeding bit) ewwww Yukkkkky. I just don't laugh at it - but each to his own and I'm happy for those that do find it entertaining

I feel the same Critique.....

My kids think it is really funny but it is not my type of humour either. I have been Little Britained out this Christmas, as if it is on they are watching it even though they have seen it before

It seems very much of a muchness to me - the characters do the same thing every episode and even if you found it funny the 1st time when the same gag (ie the man in the wheelchair says he wants something and when he gets it he doesnt want it anymore) is repeated over and over every episode, it is not funny anymore!!!

Flyo

My friend has series 1 on dvd and I've seen a few more episodes of it... it CAN be funny at times, but as mentioned, each episode is the same, the same sketches in different circumstances, you know what's going to happen before it happens...

I do like the fat club one and the only gay in the village, but I don't like the "I want that one" sketch... it varies, but I wouldn't say it's as good as people make out...

I hate to say it but I have watched every episode at least three times and still laugh my head off at every one.

But then I do have a rather gutter sense of humour and will cheerfully find the most inane things amusing. :)
