Off to Agia Galini in Crete today - I've never been to Greece so I'm looking forward to it - even if the weather forecast isn't too good.

Looks a great place if its website (http://www.agia-galini.com/index.php) is anything to go by.

Looks great Rob, not that I'm jealous or anything.

Are you going for the obvious and staying in the Hotel Adonis? :wink2:

Just back - had a great time and the weather was magic (apart from the last day when it rained like I have never seen before - picked the wrong time to see Knossos and got soaked - which meant I arrived back in Glasgow this morning wearing shorts and wet trainers!!!)

The raki was wonderful - and plentiful - and mainly free :yahoo:

I'll post some pictures soon.

wb Rob - it's a mega place altogether isn't it? I think the Cretans are barking mad and friendly and fond of a drop of the quare stuff.

No wonder the celts like them!

Some pictures - the first one is the place we stayed - red roof - our balcony is the middle floor - 2nd from the left!! We were above a taverna with the beach just outside - we didn't have to move more than about 50 metres unless we wanted to - of course. We had one room for the four of us - a bit cramped but we didn't spend much time there!

This is the view from the balcony

I love this shot - took it at night - the colours just look weird!

One last one - for now - a view of the village looking down. Great place - I can't wait to go back - also the prices were amazing - we ate out twice every day!
