Did anyone see this last night. It was an ITV drama ?

I have to say it was very slow and tedious in parts. Mr.B nearly nodded off.

It finishes this evening, and im torn. On one hand i would like to know what happened ... and on the other i really dont give a damn

Yeah, I saw it Bonnie. I wanted to enjoy it, actually sat and watched properly instead of having it on in the background while I was on here (as I do with most things) but it wasn't brilliant was it?

I agreed with the writer of a review I read, that Gemma was so irritating you tended to hope she'd got lost pretty quick :D

I can't stand all that arty-farty camera work and the dream sequences - they just scramble my brain.

I'm committed now, though, I'll have to suffer it to the end.

It was very much like that Julie Walters thing "Driving Lessons". They hyped that up in the adverts for it but apart from Julie Walters, who always delivers a good performance, I found myself not caring much about the characters or what happened to them.

Feel the same way as both of you - don't really get what it is all about but expecting the dumped boyfriend to swing into action as Robin Hood.

I will watch it tonight but can't say I am exactly gripped by and the acting is pretty rubbish..............please don't ask me why I will be watching!

Same here. NEarly gave up after the first commercail break, but was too lazy to get up and get the remote from the other setee so I ended up soldiering on, and I too will have to watch tonights to see why Zach was such a freak...

Much the same as the rest of you and yes I will be watching final part in the hope that irritating Gemma got snuffed out as well.

Mmmmmm, weird. Bit of a twist in the end though - I never saw that coming. It all seemed pointless really.

I thought Gemma was irritating but that Esther seemed to just glaze over most of the time. I wanted to shake her.

Maybe the book would have been a better bet - I think they must have cut a lot out (as they do).

I think that pretty much summed it up Crit - we never really got to understand why Zac & Coral had such a fixation on Gemma.

I was surprised that Robin Hood would like someone like Gemma - she was a horrible person wasn't she?

I am actually really annoyed that I wasted 3 hours of my life watching this crap!:wallbash:

I thought the 2nd part was a lot more entertaining than the 1st. I enjoyed it. I didnt see the twist coming although Mr.B (whose 2nd name is Sherlock) KNEW what was happening from the very first moment ... yeah right

I was shocked that Gemma herself had killed Coral and that the ditzy blonde bit was all an act. But i was confused as to why Gemma was jumpy with Zak when she was alone with him .... way before the others found her.

I was just looking through some of the reviews of the book and it does seem that they missed out a lot - for example, in the book Esther returns to England after Gemma disappears.

I suppose that a lot of the psychology of it was lost in a not very well done TV adaptation.

BTW, one review said "the death of the title character early on ...." err, what?

I don't read books these days but I'm almost tempted to get the book and see what it was really all about - on second thoughts, naaaaah! :D
