Tonight, BBC2, 9pm.

Looking forward to this.

I really enjoyed it back in 90s.

I have every intention of watching this. Hope it's good. Really want to know what happened to the characters after all this time

Ooooh, my favourite programme of all time ever, I can't wait. I just hope it lives up to the original :pimp:

I've been looking forward to this for ages, but my biggest worry was that it wouldn't live up to the original programme.

But.....I read a review of it in Metro today, and the critic claims that the 10 years on on-off has lost "none of its edge". Oh goody!

I know its only 1 reviewers opinion, but its optomistic.

Really disappointed - I'd really looked forward to this, but it was all a bit of a nothing really.

I kept thinking of The Big Chill, and how much better that was - and still is, 20-odd years after it first came out.

I enjoyed it, but it wasn't as fab as I'd hoped. They were all so totally ****ed up it was a bit laughable. Still it made me feel much better about myself :w00t: .

I always associated very strongly with Anna, and I was kind glad to see how much more ****ed up she was than me :wink_kiss

I enjoyed it, but not as much as the original series. The great thing about the original was that it was totally believeable - this seemed a little far fetched at times. I couldn't help thinking that a bunch of people being filmed for a documentary would proably be able to exercise more caution for 48 hours and not expose the extent of their own neurosis.

I was also a bit disappointed by Anna and Miles. The easy sexual chemistry between them in the original programme was completely lost. I just didn't believe in them when they fell into bed together at the end and professed their enduring, but dangerous love for each other.

And WTF was up with Miles' hair?????

:haha: You took the words out of my mouth re Miles hair. I was really disappointed by the show last night. It was so full of stereotypes it was painful, it was badly written, the whole "reunion documentary" thing was a bad sub-plot that didnt work - all those "to camera" bits of commentary by the characters were stilted and unnecessary and the whole thing just didnt fit together properly.

The only thing that could possibly have dragged it down further would have been if Anna had said "Actually Warren, I came for you, I want you to father my child" and Warren had said "Well actually Anna, the reason Im filling myself with all these tablets is because I have teh bad aids."

They could have done it so much better. Still, it was 90 minutes of Andrew Lincolnwatching, so it wasnt all bad news.
