I have just been to the opticians, and although my eyesight is very good for anyone of any age, one eye is quite a lot better than the other. I knew my eyesight was ok, but I went because each Thursday, after college the previous evening, I end up with migraine because of the fluorescent lighting. I have been prescribed glasses that equal both my eyes out, but am having an anti-glare coating put on to stop the glare of the bright lights and also filter out the flicker from fluorescent lighting.
I was wondering if anyone on here had similar problems, or have had anti-glare coating put on their glasses?

The new glasses i have just ordered have the anti glare on them (well, the expensive pair has anyway). I wanted it because i helps when driving in the dark. The headlights dont hurt your eyes.
I know a lot of people who have the anti glare on their glasses, and they wouldnt be without it now.
Its new for me though - and ill let you know what i think later on this week (hopefully).

I think my husband is getting old *snigger* He has had perfect vision, but the other day he confessed that he sometimes has trouble reading small print. He wanted to just go into Boots and pick up some reading glasses off the counter ... but i think for the 1st one he needs a proper eye test.
Am i right ?

Bons, the receptionist told me that adults should have eyetests every two years regardless of how their eyesight is. It's part of a routine medical examination. She said the optician can pick up loads of diseases, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, brain tumours, the list goes on. So march Mr B down there!

Don't worry Bons, like Tigger said it's probably just a brain tumour.
Ps I wouldn't recommend anti-glare, in hot weather the coating can evaporate and cause eye polyps.

I have glasses but i really need new ones. I have these for about 1 and a half years and they're getting old... I'd really like reaction lenses - does anybody know if they're any good?:nerd:

I got my glasses this morning and they look well nice! :D I'm really happy with them, although it's really hard getting used to something sitting on the bridge of my nose, feels all tickly. They are pink and purple frames, but because I have a dramatic face and olive skin, I can get away with them. :)
