Doesn’t seem to be a thread for our Princess Shilpa but I have to say I quite like her, apart from her large fluffy rabbit slippers and her mesmerising Miss World looks, she stands up for herself and others in a non aggressive way and has a good sense of humour. I think she may be one of the last standing.

I like her too. I think she is a little simpering sometimes ... but i dont think we have seen the 'real' lady in the highlighted shows.

I wonder why people like Carole keep saying "Shilpa wont take any s*ite, and she will stand up for herself" etc ... I can only assume that they have seen something that we havent.

I did like the way she confronted Jackiey, and the way she took her water, which i assume was by way of an apology. She manages to say what she thinks without swearing or raising her voice. A quality i wish i had :mellow:

She just seems a little contrived - all that kissing of the Goody grandparents was just a little too contrived. I think she is very very thoughtful about how she is being portrayed. I also think she knows alot more about the Big Brother format that she is letting on - no way would someone that controlling do something like this without getting her people to do a bit of research for her - maybe her servants just wanted a holiday from her and so didn't tell her the truth!

The word that you are all grasping for is S N O B. It is inverted colonialism, wealthy Indians have always suffered.

I really like her now. But I agree, kissing the Goody grandparents was a bit much.

I dont dislike her, but last night she came across as precious and patronising.

Unbelieveably, Danielle and Jade have had a huge row with Shilpa tonight and Danielle stated, "thing is, WE are all friends, YOU are just the cook....."

Apparently Shilpa is a black belt in karate - I think at that point Id have chopped Danielle in the windpipe and left her on the floor.... :mad2:

Jade and Danielle (who all of a sudden have been 'best friends for over a year') seemed to be ganging up on Shilpa. The two of them even admitted that they didn't know what Shilpa had even said, silly bints.
I liked Danielle when she first came in but she seems to be permanently up Jade's a.rse all the time which is a shame as it seems to be turning her a bully.

Okay she comes from a country where people stand up when she enters a room, such is the reverence for her position in society. She doesnt demand that they do this, they do it because its part of their culture.

When she told this story to Jade and co some time ago they completely (and deliberately) in my mind, misinterpreted it and thicko Danielle was heard to mutter, "who does she think she is???"...........

The fact is, that Shilpa comes from a culture so far removed from our own in terms of reverence and class worship, its alien but she realises that our culture isnt like that at all and she doesnt expect the same treatment, she mucks in with everyone and has embraced the fact that she isnt revered and worshipped here; it seems that only the people over the age of 30 seem to be able to grasp this (apart from Jackiey).

Shilpa cooks and cleans, Ive seen her do it. Jack and Jo do not. And yet Shilpa is called a diva and up herself by the likes of Jade and Danielle.

Someone, such as Jermaine or Cleo, should take them aside and see if they can get it through their thick heads that she isnt the enemy.

Its disturbing to watch the deliberate alienation of Shilpa.

And it gets worse - earlier on during the Live Feed, Shilpa was puting cream on her face to bleach any facial hair and Jack and Danielle were having both having a good laugh about it. It then descended into yet more racism when the loathsome pair exclaimed that she was "doing it to make her face look more white". :sad:

I only hope this is shown in the highlights show so that everyone can see what a nasty pieces of work they are.

I haven't been watching this programme, but I do still read these thread sometimes.

Do you think the girls may be doing this because Shilpa is so stunningly good looking? Might there be a touch of jealousy there?

I normally hate it when people assume that when one girls doesn't like another its for this reason, but it does happen sometimes. Especially with the more immature kind of girl.

From what I've read, with the exception of Jack (who is very young and tied to Jade - duty bound almost to support her), most of this woman critics do seem to be women. Especially the more immature ones.

When Jade first came in the house she told Jermaine that she "had met" Danielle - now they are bessie mates. I dont like this side of Danielle coming out that she is so up Jade's backside and is being pretty nasty to Shilpa who is fast becoming the "victim" in the house. I just hope the GPB see what is happening, along with the other house mates and one of them (please let it be Jade!) are out on their ears.

Im starting to feel very uncomfortable with the 'bullying' against Shilpa.

Jade and Danielle in particular are being very vocal to her. I dont want to give spoilers away as they should be in another thread - but I have been looking at the official BB website, and the girls seem to be having a go at her for every little thing. She even cooked last night, and ended up in tears due to the comments.

Jade in particular seems to think she has the right to call her two faced and fake at every opportunity.

I personally think that re-entering the BB house has done Jades 'career' no good whatsoever as we can all now remember what a spiteful cow she is.

I like Shilpa, and im suprised she is still there. If i were made the scape goat all the time, i would have my suitcase packed quicker than you can say 'jade is an ignorant b**tch'

I watch a lot of the live feed and I gather that Shilpa was upset again today because Danielle has made her feel that Shilpa has taken over the kitchen. What a nasty piece of work that Danielle is. If it wasn't for Shilipa she would be living on fish fingers and crisp butties. I hate the way she screws her nose up when she asks Shilpa whats for lunch or dinner and its not to her ladyship's taste.

I think Shilpa's treatment has been appalling, however she does have two (very minor) irritations for me.

She HAS actually taken over the kitchen. Personally Id be grateful for that but if I picked up the vibes that certain quarters werent happy, Id relinquish that hold and let them get on with it.

Secondly, she is so incredibly loud. Now I realise that we have what constitutes a foghorn in there, with Jade Goody, but Shilpa's squeals and shrieky laughter do my head in.

Saying all that - Im honestly surprised she hasnt either walked or whacked Jade and her coven of biatches in the face with a frying pan.

I don't know how Shilpa's family can watch her on BB. I'm so upset by tonight's viewing. Jade is absolutely heartless and lives by a set of rules so different from anything that I am personally used to I just can't fathom her out. All that heart to heart in the kitchen at the end of tonight's show - just showed Jade to be so completely and utterly stupid beyond even what I thought she was. Fancy blaming Shilpa for putting her hand up for Carole and being so proud that she hadn't put her hand up? wft was that all about. Jade has got a different set of values to most people I know. She is thick, granted - sometimes she admits she is - but deep down she thinks she is absolutely right on everything. I can only imagine that Jackiey was very very proud of her daughter tonight.

I do realise that Shilpa is by far 100% innocent. She is controlling, she is melodramatic and she does like to put the martyr act on a bit BUT I still think she is being treated terribly by Jade and Danielle (not so much Jo) and cannot wait for either of these two cretins to be evicted before Shilpa.

Shilpa needs to look at one or two of her own faults too, in all of this.

Yet again, last night during the highlights show, she showed exactly why she rubs people up the wrong way.

She totally took over the shopping budget again and simply would NOT listen to what people were saying. Even the normally laid back Cleo glared at her, huffed once or twice and walked out.

Shilpa is very controlling, arrogant in that she wont listen to advice or other people's points of view and if she perceives that you are weak in any way just talks over the top of you. Watch her and Cleo interact. If Cleo speaks it is usually in a shy, hesitant, halting way. Nine times out of ten, Shilpa will loudly talk over the top of what she is saying.

The treatment Shilpa is receiving at the moment is unfair and downright mean, however she DOES have faults.

I have to say I agree with Pan's post.

Black, white or yellow skinned, Shilpa would drive me up the wall to live with. She is very controlling and has a manner which wouldn't endear her to many people. She does talk over the others and if she doesn't want to answer a question she just reponds 'oh don't ask me', which can be tedious when she then demands an answer from the other person.

That said, what Jade and co are doing is truly spiteful and bullying and obnoxious and for this alone I hope they all get evicted on Friday (without a public vote) and Davina has the balls to tell them that they are being removed for bullying.
