who else thought that Dirk's behaviour towards Jade with the Whiskey was absolutely hilarious tonight!!!

it was such class.

'er getting all antsy over Jo's whiskey (why can't Jo get off her **** herself and come and ask Dirk?!) and then him calmly (although I don't think he was that calm inside!!!) pouring his half down the sink cos he couldn't have the whole bottle!!!

childish - yes, a waste of whiskey - yes, a stand against Jade "I own this house" Goody - YES! YES! YES! ... as far as I can see him and Ken are the only two who have decided enough is enough of this bossy young woman who plays to the camera with her "fairness", her "tears" and her "heart of gold act".

I never knew one person could cry so much over so many trivial things!!!

Dirk is an unusual man. An american actor that isnt up his own ass. He says very little, but what he does say, IMO, is very sensible and he doesnt get hysterical.

The pouring the whiskey in the bin was great. He was obviously incredibly peed off. If you listened carefully to the exchange, it was obvious that everyone had been given their own alcohol. Everyone had drunk their alcohol and Jade came out an asked Dirk - on Jo's behalf - if she could have half the bottle of whiskey that Dirk had.

Loved the fact that later on, when he came to bed and Jade went into 'fighting chav mode' in front of all her mates, shouting across the bedroom, "you an alkie or summmmminkkkkkk?????", Dirk just said Shhhhh, climbed into bed, turned over and fell asleep.

Jade had no answer to that.

She annoys me sometimes. She veers from sensitive and caring to belligerent and downright bullying.

At the moment, Im a Dirk fan.

I thought Dirk was brilliant tonight!

Why should he give away half of his whiskey? Because Jade 'Queen of the house' Goody asked him to?
Apparently, (according to people on DIgital Spy), the others were all given wine and beer earlier tonight anyway (Jade and her posse even hid a bottle under Carole's bed so no-one else could get it) and since Dirk doesn't drink either of those, BB gave him a small bottle of whiskey. Why should he share it when the others all had a drink?
Jade came off worse tonight if you ask me, what with her "well I'll take some anyway" comment, not to mention insinuating that Dirk had an alcohol problem - what a nasty piece of work she is.

Well done Dirk!

I really like Dirk. He's such a calm person with a great sense of humour. In the diary room he just oozes a cool, calm confidence.

And yes the real Jade is coming through. Now she hasn't got her mother to make that sort of scene she's free to do it herself. More please.

Im another Dirk fan. I think he is great, and when he was told he was up for eviction with Leo he turned to him and said "thats the last time ill sit in the garden with you" :w00t:

He is also soooo good looking. I melt when i see him.:bag:

Yep, I am liking Dirk at the moment too. He has the right attitude to BB - it's a game, lets play the game. I have never heard him once moan about anything and he even offered to wash some pants for Leo (personally I would have stuffed them down his throat). Seems like an all round 'nice person' and he even admitted to Shilpa that he flirts to make himself feel better not her!

Well this member of the A team has shown himself to be a proper wuss. I thought he liked Shilpa, then we see him sitting in Nowhere and ignoring Jade's rant against her and seems to have distanced himself from any of the arguments. Man or mouse Dirk? Should have had Mr T instead!

I just had this image in my head of Mr T pinning Jade up against the wall and bellowing, "Stop all this jibba jabbuh....."

Personally i just think he is fed up of the whole thing and wants to go home. You cant blame him really can you ? He has lived in a house with him and his sons for years, he isnt used to all this girlie hysteria.

Yes Bonsai, he is hating every minute in there and can’t wait to be voted out. I did feel a teeny bit sorry for him yesterday but would have thought higher of him if he had spoken up for Shilpa last week.:party2:

Hi behavior last nite was appalling. going in a huff and then being threatening and acting like a psycho. he only wants to play when he wants to. Cleo was having a laugh, a bit weird and too long yes, but come on.

Oh I dunno. If I fancied a nice quiet day and had asked someone at least five times to not annoy me, crawl all over me and play-flirt, Id expect them to respect what I was saying. If they didnt and it was obvious that the antagonist and her little gang were taking the pish, then Id probably turn psycho and stub me cigar out in her wig.

Why does everyone keep going on about him smoking his cigars outside when Jo is allowed to sit in the lounge and puff away on her fags all day long? If anything I'd prefer the aroma of a good cigar rather than Jo's second hand B&H fumes.

I wondered this myself PJ. But then Jo is good at telling people what to do, and then not following the rules herself.

I like Dirk. He likes a laugh, he likes a joke ... but when he needs 'me' time, he needs to chill out alone with his cigar and relax.

I can understand that. Im similar. I like to have a laugh, but then at other times i feel i can be anti social because i like to have time to myself on a regular basis .... free from the likes of Cleo.

She was way OTT yesterday, and she is becoming a nasty piece of work who is being wound up by Jo puffing away on the sofa. She didnt know when i back off, and i think if i had been in the house, and was being tormented by her i would of flipped.

Then for her and the other witches to state that they would eat all of Dirks food ..... duhh. Dont they realise he is on a strict diet due to health problems. Do they really hate Dirk enough to make him starve to death ?

Then for her and the other witches ?

Yes Cleo has rapidly taken Jade's place as the third witch in the house.

I like Dirk. I know he is a bit morose at times but some people are just like that and need to spend time alone, to ponder. To live virtually as a recluse in Montana and then be cooped up for a month in a house with these odd-balls is enough to send anyone moody! I also think he is just disgusted at the behaviour of certain housemates and just doesn’t want to be there. I am surprised he has not walked by now. I thought it was hilarious when he was skipping and saying he was communicating to someone, just winding them all up really. :naughty:

Looks like they are still trying to wind Dirk up.....

Day 22, 12:25: Danielle and Jack are considering adding sugar to Dirk's "no-sugar" soy sauce. The fact that Dirk's soy sauce is in fact of the low salt, not sugar, variety, seems to be irrelevant....

I think if they messed about with my food, Id leave a turd in their beds. See how funny they'd find that.

Ok, Ill get me coat.... :ninja:

The thing is it isnt funny as Dirk has to have a special diet as he is in remission. Are Cleo and Jo as the main anti-Dirk brigade aware of this or as I suspect they just dont care. Cleo is rapidly turning into the Play Misty for me character and I would love to see her face if she is voted out instead of him tomorow. I like Dirk, he has them all spot on.

Agreed, Punky. As I said in the "rescue Dirk" thread, he's playing them all for suckers. Best housemate by far.

He may be the best housemate if he stopped trying to claw back credibility (in his mind) by constantly pretending he hates being there, its a real pain, oh woe is me, how did i find my self here.

What reputation exactly does he think he is risking?

He needs to remember he was once a guy in a crap tv prog and that was all. and in the last 15 years he has done didly squat and spent his cash, hence we find him here.

Yes they are aware of it Punky. When Jo was contemplating eating Dirk's food and throwing away the rest, Jermaine pointed out that Dirk's food was important to him, because of his cancer recovery. Jo's answer was, "so what?"

I think we finally saw the real Dirk pop out of his shell last night.

He has been deliberately distancing himself from the whole group, in order to survive the ordeal and last night during the A Team task (which was terrific fun), he came alive. He worked with such diligence, putting together his catcher-thingey in order to get the salmon from the table (you had to watch the task to know what Im talking about), and the whole group started working together.

He then did his Dad dancing to the music "Me and Mrs Jones" and was having a good laugh while pretending to strip.

Later on, he walked into the bedroom where the girls were waxing Jack's extreeeeemely hairy legs. Dirk winced as the wax was ripped off (as Jack screamed like a wuss), showed a little interest and was promptly pounced on. He went along with it all and agreed to have his leg waxed..... making wisecracks along the way and making everyone laugh. They waxed part of his leg and he gazed in wonder at the smoothness of it all.

Cleo, of course, managed to spoil the moment by suddenly proclaiming (mid laughter), "oh I like you now Dirk. I didnt like you before, but I do now". Awkward silence, embarrassed laughter and the moment was well and truly spoiled by the irritating luvvie Cleo who seems to be able to open her gob when she doesnt need to and yet during Shilpa's bullying, just sat with her eyes downcast. Idiotic woman.

In the end I liked him , decent chap, many demons, but good funny guy. He was a good housemate and I guess folks really did just forget that he was 60 and not 45!

Same as me, bordering on 62, and I loved him to bits!

Felt the same about Jermaine too.
