View Full Version : Should BB intervene?
Dolores 15-01-2007, 09:11 PM Do you think that Big Brother should do something to stop the constant carping and criticism that Jo, Danielle and Jade are giving to Shilpa. They are trying to wear her down with their constant backstabbing and spitefulness, it's painful for me to watch at the moment.
mazwad 15-01-2007, 09:23 PM I dont think they need to intervene as the public vote will split those nasty bits of work up as one of them surely will be up for nomination this week.
Shilpa has Jermaine, Dirk,Cleo and Ian to go to for comfort so she is not isolated. I am not a fan of Shilpa but the bullying is disgusting and wholely unwarranted.
Repetition 15-01-2007, 09:28 PM What I'd really like to see, is Shilpa snap and karate-chop one of them across the throat. First CBB manslaughter.... they'd struggle to top that.
I think I'd sooner Dani got it than Jade. Much as I dislike her, Jade has a (feeble) excuse for her behaviour... that swamp-thing of a mother.. but the two-faced, cheating toothpick has none.
It is uncomfortable to watch at times - but I don't think BB should step in - hopefully some of the Danielle's Dogs will be up for eviction this week - and one of them will go.
I'd love to see their faces whan that happens!
I've really gone off Jo too - I thought she was quite nice at the start - how wrong can you be!

our heroes have feet of clay don't they Rob! :( who'da thought that a member of S Steps Club could be so horrible, they all had such fun the 27 of them jetting off round the world getting into scapes and japes - there was no nastiness there. what's gone wrong Jo?!
reminds me of a story about a waitress who got punched by John Lennon (accidentally) and she said it's not the pain that hurts it's finding out that your hero's an asshole!
No. The looks on Jade, Jo and Danielle's faces will say it all when one of them is voted out before Shilpa.
Pandora 16-01-2007, 08:18 AM No they shouldnt intervene for the simple reason that if this treatment continues, then it will be the death knell (hopefully) for Jade Goody's 'career'.
And I so want to see their faces when they are evicted before Shilpa.

I already think that has happened. Many years have passed since Jade was on BB, and i think people had started to think she was a very savvy business woman. Her perfume was one of the top selling brands over Xmas.
I think now people can see she is still spiteful, thick and downright nasty ... and i dont think it will do her business any good whatsoever.

No Shyte Sherlock
JG's perfume was a big seller?? Who on earth bought it?
I've not been watching so not up to really comment other than if what has been said IS true, these three will be in for a rough time from the press an Joe public.
I'm not clear ast to whether they have been racist or bullying?
Have they been 'racist' towards Jasmine? If not then I would suggest it is just a jealousy spitful bitchy girl thing.
Either way BB shouldn't step in until they are nominated. They should then be called into the Diary Room and be told that they have been witnessed to be racist/bullying and that they may be judged by the public for this. They should not be allowed to discuss this with the other HM's.
Again, either way BB should take JG and make her be mute for the remainder of her time in the house....
IsLe Of WeAtHeR 16-01-2007, 10:28 AM Yes but the other hand Shilpa has been manipulative and is happier in the company of the men (as she gets all her compliments there). SHe is equally to blame with her melodrama and her snootiness.
La Freak 16-01-2007, 10:43 AM This is making headline news now on SKY, seems over 2,000 complaints have been received into racism/bullying, and it's rising.
I don't know, haven't watched it at all.
Bella 16-01-2007, 01:02 PM It's up to 3000 now according to the ITV news, I haven't seen CBB since I saw Jackie voted off so haven't seen what has been going on. They showed footage of Jo & Danielle talking about Shilpa eating food of Ian's plate and then silly bint Danielle asks if that's what they do in India, eat food with their hands!! What kind of stupid question is that? We all eat food with hands, saves on the washing up! Seriously though I think this show does highlight a huge lack of intelligence and it shows - Shilpa will emerge from the BB house and will still be a huge star in Bollywood as for the others, maybe we'll see them in the jungle!

Good God, think of the poor snakes....Dean Gafney was enough for them!

They do use their right hands to eat food in India? She meant that they do not use knives and forks and they dont. Her point was that maybe Shilpa handles the food because it is what they do in India and it was a valid point.

I honestly don't think that was the point at all, Danielle is not that intelligent to know about what hands people from India eat with!
Pandora 16-01-2007, 03:57 PM Danielle also mentioned in the same breath that the reason people in India were so thin is because they eat with dirty hands and subsequently get stomach upsets.... She said, "they do eat wiv their ands in India dont they? or is it china?" :wallbash:
IsLe Of WeAtHeR 16-01-2007, 04:03 PM I think that Shilpa is being ostracized because she is acting superior and hanging around with the guys (lording it a little) and the other girls naturally do not like it. It is classic Big Brother female behavior but it is not racism.
Jo, jade and Danielle have a common enemy bond. It is more about using Shilpa as a method to bond with each other - they dont really hate her, they may actually admire her, but they are using her as a means to bond together.
Slipper 16-01-2007, 04:15 PM No....It's coz they are all common as muck and settle at their own level in the barrel of life
Punkyfish 17-01-2007, 10:29 AM I think Shilpa is well able to take care of herself, she is tough, intelligent and articulate. She doesn’t need to “thump” people (quoting that old hag, sorry hack, Carole Malone) to win a disagreement. The three witches are digging themselves into a hole deeper and deeper by the day. What in partcular Jo and Dimelle hoped to achieve by going into the House, it clearly wont happen now :applause:

now you see a comment like that is just as bad as a racist one. "common as muck"? You are demeaning a person by a perceived "class" and that is wrong. Just because you feel better educated does not make you superior.

You can't polish a turd!
It's not education. It's humanity. JG & DL will get their come-upance on their exit.
So what if I'm demeaning a person who has spent the last x many hours demaning someone to their person.
BTW - some 14,500 people who have complained seem to agree...
I don't tend to watch BB's but I will watch those two trouts exit for sure.
Interesting how Teddy and her family haven't jumped to her defence..innit?
Public appearences and celebrity bash invites will be few and far between now methinks

Minklemar 17-01-2007, 05:40 PM I think the treatment Jodie Marsh got from some of her fellow housemates last year was far worse that the way that Shilpa is being treated - did BB step in then? I can't remember. There was a lot less fuss about it in the media though.......maybe because Jodie isn't considered to be as classy as Shilpa people felt that she deserved the harsh treatment she received.

Short memories indeed. And Jodie marsh was far darker than Shilpa:ohmy:
Well, considering that Shilpa hasn't actually complained HERSELF to Big Brother, then surely there is nothing to disperse?
Unless Shilpa was complaining of racist behaviour, why should we assume this is what she feels?

Well, imo, Shilpa saying things like "I don't like it here, it's just been a clash between my culture and theirs" (which she's said a number of times) is just a polite way of saying she thinks they're being racist.
La Freak 17-01-2007, 10:13 PM I think Shilpa is starting to hurt....

Well, tonight Shilpa actually came right out with it and said that she thinks they are being racist. So I guess the issue definately needs to be addressed now.
Yup, she has said it now. I think Big Brother needs to call Shilpa in for a private chat, and see what she wants to do.
After all, we can't punish the offenders if the victim doesn't want to, surely?
Punkyfish 18-01-2007, 10:04 AM I think the treatment Jodie Marsh got from some of her fellow housemates last year was far worse that the way that Shilpa is being treated - .
Sorry I disagree, Jodie was voted out fairly quickly (wasn’t she the first one out?) but this seems to be going on and on, and did bring it on herself a bit with her revolting chat at the breakfast table about orgies etc, wandering around in a grubby dressing gown with her norks out and opening her legs on the table between Denis Rodman amongst other crass things, I seem to recall, which led to her being treated with distain and rightly so. . Also it was only really Barrymore who had a go at her whereas Shilpa has been ganged up on by three of them. Shilpa as far as I see it, although she can be a bit annoying - (aren’t we all) has really done nothing to deserve this treatment at all. She has tried to make an effort to be friendly, resolve issues and fed everyone.:glare:
Bella 18-01-2007, 10:07 AM Nah, with Jodie the vile Pete Burns and equally vile George Galloway all had a go too. I am not a fan of Jodie Marsh but she did not deserve the treatment that was dished out to her last year. She was the first one voted out but then she wasn't exactly a crowd pleaser but no-one knew Shlipa before she went in, so no judgements have been made about her.
Seabreeze 18-01-2007, 03:27 PM Taken from popbitch
Since Jade Goody shot to fame on Channel 4
she has had the same management as Celebrity
Big Brother host Davina McCall, and both
Big Brother spin-off show hosts, Dermot O'Leary
and Russell Brand, as well as last year's
Celebrity Big Brother winner Chantelle.
So is it any surprise that C4 and CBB
producers are so reticent about condemning
the racist bullying, led by Jade, on their
show? They have their own interests to protect.
