Your subconscious has been unshackled. cheerio! -xena- 03-12-2004, 09:41 PM The girl of my dreams.....voted off you still have janet street porter to dream about  Normal1 03-12-2004, 09:42 PM you still have janet street porter to dream about  Those teeth could haunt my nightmares for a long time... Andrea 03-12-2004, 09:47 PM when Sophie was in camp, I didn't really think that much of her. All the "me, me, me" that we got to see. But in her interview with Ant and Dec, I think she had a bit more decorum than Sheila did in her interview. I know she didn't get to hear what Sheila was saying, but I think Sophie did a really good interview, saying that at first yes she was all me, me, me and it took Nat to have the argument to make her realise that she needed to relax more and just be herself. So I say fair play to Sophie, and actually tonight she said she had only given up booze in September, so I think the girls done well. survivorfan 03-12-2004, 09:59 PM Her departure hasn't done much to dispel the belief that fashion models are 'fake'. Contrast Sophie in the bush hut - "vote for me, I really want to stay" with Sophie being evicted "Yes, yes! I'm out of here! Wheee!" Normal1 03-12-2004, 10:03 PM In other words, she's as phoney as rocking-horse poo. The Censor 03-12-2004, 10:07 PM Her departure hasn't done much to dispel the belief that fashion models are 'fake'. Contrast Sophie in the bush hut - "vote for me, I really want to stay" with Sophie being evicted "Yes, yes! I'm out of here! Wheee!" Yes, I do agree, Shelia did the same. I think Huggy was the only one to say he really wanted to stay, and showed how upset he was when he went out. However, did you notice how Pauls head dropped when he was told he was a "might be"? he really does want to stay - and win. I haven't voted for him (or anyone) the last couple of days, I was saving them for when he needed them - he needs them now, and he's gonna get them! :) Normal1 03-12-2004, 10:11 PM However, did you notice how Pauls head dropped when he was told he was a "might be"? he really does want to stay - and win. I haven't voted for him (or anyone) the last couple of days, I was saving them for when he needed them - he needs them now, and he's gonna get them! :) Don't bother....he'll be off next time. -xena- 03-12-2004, 10:14 PM she obviously has an effect on people...lots of people seem to love her or hate her very quickly... I think she's great and I don't find her fake at all...she speaks her mind but has lots of self control... As I said before I think it's fair she's voted out tonight cos fran, joe, paul and janet have made a bigger effort but she was far from being ridiculous. I find her very tough and articulate for a model.just because you're pretty doesn't mean you're stupid. -xena- 03-12-2004, 10:26 PM apparently as long as she was in the camp alcool was not allowed.so I hope they get some tonight, get really ****ed...it would be really funny to watch... :) Gratian 03-12-2004, 11:06 PM Sophie's out? Lock up your charles! :bye: secrets 04-12-2004, 07:56 AM apparently as long as she was in the camp alcool was not allowed.so I hope they get some tonight, get really ****ed...it would be really funny to watch... :)They had wine - Janet said after her trial that she would have hers now. And i'm pretty sure Paul had a can of something on last nights show. Did you see Sophie mouth "is it just oranange juice" to the man with the drink as she got to Ant and Dec when she was evicted? It must be something that is on her mind a lot, and a struggle, but she is determined to win through. killerrubbaducky 04-12-2004, 08:04 AM I'm gutted that Sophie's gone - I thought she was brilliant. And despite all the negative press surrounding her, I think her interview proved what a nice, geniune person she really is. She could have mouthed off about Sheila, she could have been just as bitchy and spiteful as she was, and really dish the dirt - but instead, she took a mature, sensible attitude and rose above it. I think this experience has been really beneficial to Sophie and I hope we get to see a lot more of her once it's over. Well done Sophie! :) Kazzie 04-12-2004, 08:23 AM when Sophie was in camp, I didn't really think that much of her. All the "me, me, me" that we got to see. I agree with you that she came across really well in the interview and didn't resort to bitching. I don't think she done herself any favours though when they showed her in the jungle saying " i've got a feeling i'm going to be the last woman here" How many votes did that lose her! I also cringed when she said " its a lot harder being in the jungle than it is to come off drink and drugs" I think a lot of people might disagree with her on that one! She also didn't do herself any favours by simpering: "Wow, the british public must really love us, musn't they, to vote for us like this..." (and she said it about five times...) Er, yes, the British public have shown exactly how much they love you...'bye... claire 04-12-2004, 09:00 AM I recorded last night cause I was out, im surprised she went, it will be more boring now... nothing nice to look @. Normal1 04-12-2004, 09:04 AM I recorded last night cause I was out, im surprised she went, it will be more boring now... nothing nice to look @. Don't be daft. Doesn't it warm your heart everytime Planet Janet smiles, flashing those tombstone gnashers at you? maxine 04-12-2004, 09:45 AM I thought Sophie came across really well in her interview. She could easily have slagged off the likes of Sheila and Natalie but she chose not to. She also accepted the criticism that was levelled at her. She behaved with dignity. Maybe she's just saving it all for the papers, whatever, I think she's done herself proud. killerrubbaducky 04-12-2004, 09:54 AM She also didn't do herself any favours by simpering: "Wow, the british public must really love us, musn't they, to vote for us like this..." (and she said it about five times...) Er, yes, the British public have shown exactly how much they love you...'bye... That's not fair. She did brilliantly to get that far, and she must have done something right to make it into the final five. Lyndsay 04-12-2004, 10:55 AM She did well to last as long as she did, and I think she did well in there. Good Luck to her! Normal1 04-12-2004, 11:30 AM That's not fair. She did brilliantly to get that far,. Er, why? Let's take a reality check here. She's a young, fit person. She should have no difficulty in surviving a week on beans, meat and rice, and doing a teeny bit of physical work. Oh, and of course, getting paid 50K or so for it. An old granny like Janet seems to be able to manage it it ok. I'd say the phrase "did brilliantly" slightly devalues the currency...none of them are brilliant, they haven't conquered any mountains, won any Olympic medals, or sailed single-handedly around the world. They are pampered celebs, sitting around chatting for a couple of weeks and doing some jumped-up It's A Knockout games and getting loads of publicity into the bargain to revive their flagging careers. The idea that getting paid a vast sum of money to eat a few worms some how equates to brilliance is beyond me. mamacheetah 04-12-2004, 11:43 AM I wonder what Sophie will say when she finds out what Dragonmouth Shiela said about her in her interview with Ant and Dec. Shiela was out of order there. Sophie is a pretty girl and good luck to her in her fight with D & D. She showed her true character by not bad mouthing anyone. Good for her. BTW I no longer see anyone's avatars, is it just me or what? killerrubbaducky 04-12-2004, 11:49 AM Er, why? Let's take a reality check here. She's a young, fit person. Normal1 04-12-2004, 12:26 PM If that's your attitude, then why do you even watch it? It's not brilliance. It's light entertainment. claire 04-12-2004, 12:43 PM I thought Sophie came across really well in her interview. She could easily have slagged off the likes of Sheila and Natalie but she chose not to. She also accepted the criticism that was levelled at her. She behaved with dignity. Maybe she's just saving it all for the papers, whatever, I think she's done herself proud. Absolutely!! she showed herself up as the better person by a long way. I have liked and disliked certain things about her as with everybody, but I like her now, she's alright. She didn't even dignify the things they said and seemed very humble. Normal1 04-12-2004, 01:52 PM She didn't even dignify the things they said and seemed very humble Sophie: Isn't it amazing how much the British public must love us, they must really love us mustn't they...the public...it's just great how much they love us...to keep voting for us...etc etc. Humble?? MadMary 04-12-2004, 02:12 PM Isn't it so predicable how we will react if someone boasts. If you say, "hey I'm great" people will say "no, you're not!" If you say "Hey I'm rubbish" people will say " ah no, you're great, honest" :) But we all know these things, Sophie was naive to think she could try to make her own rules about this type of natural human reaction. The art of true conversation is to listen and then respond and then listen and then respond. Follow the path of the conversation. Sophie has things to say that do not include interaction with other people in their thoughts and feelings, but cares more for her individiual expression of her own thoughts and experiences. This does not give the hearer the respect they deserve, so a conversation is not satisfying for either person (and not for me to watch) Also the sides of her mouth turn down when she speaks, have you noticed that? She's georgous, I would sell my granny for her body, but hey I've reached the age where a personality, modestly in fortune and a respect for others are what it's all about. and for the Sophie fans, I do believe that Sophie wouldn't look at you in the street.. (unless you were of some importance to her.) Normal1 04-12-2004, 03:09 PM Also the sides of her mouth turn down when she speaks, have you noticed that? Yes I noticed that, it makes it look as though everything she says is with a sneer. Pandora 04-12-2004, 05:24 PM [QUOTE=Normal1]She also didn't do herself any favours by simpering: "Wow, the british public must really love us, musn't they, to vote for us like this..." (and she said it about five times...) QUOTE] That quote made me cringe, then she said it again. Then she looked for the camera and said it again..... then for good measure (because everyone else had studiously ignored the comment), she said, "Janet....." and said it AGAIN!!!!!!! Articulate sometimes she maybe but my God does she EVER put her brain in gear before speaking? Although the sound dept made a complete pigs ear of her interview, thereby allowing Sheila's bitchy remarks not to be heard, Sophie came over as rather dignified. However, I reckon what she really thinks is that Sheila is a nobody to her so she doesnt really give a flying **** what the hysterical ol bint says about her. Im glad she is out. |
